Sun Sohovich Art Gallery & Studio

We visited Sun's art gallery and fell in love with her amazing paintings. She has a real gift with color and technique. She is able to capture so many different moods and emotions in her work. We loved so many of her paintings and finally, after much thought, chose our favorite. It is just beautiful and we get so many compliments on it. We're looking forward to purchasing more artwork from Sun in the future. Pay her gallery a visit - you won't be sorry!

Sun's paintings are beautiful. Her use of color is unique. I was fortunate enough to receive a commissioned portrait of my dog for my birthday, and every time I look at it I see something new. Sun captured my sweet Molly's personality perfectly. It is my favorite piece of art and one of the best presents I have ever been given.

We bought three of Sun's paintings ... one was commissioned! Her technique and use of color is gorgeous. She also came to our house and looked at our living room colors so she could get the commissioned painting just right. We loved working with her and are enjoying her artwork in our home.

We found a landscape painting by Sun that my wife and I really liked but needed to be a larger size for our space. Sun graciously agreed to paint a similar painting using our dimensions and allowed us to make inputs to color hues. The finished painting was exactly what we wanted and more.

Sun created a portrait of our yellow lab, Rory. It was a Christmas present for my wife, and the picture was fabulous! In addition to a being a beautiful picture, she was able to catch her "essence" - her personality. Sun is truly a gifted artist. My wife was thrilled with the portrait and has already found a place of honor to hang it. I can't fully express my appreciation of her talent, as well as working with her during it's creation; she's genuinely concerned about making sure it's what I wanted, which she did! And a nice person to boot! If you are considering commissioning her for artwork I wouldn't hesitate - you will not be disappointed.

I got a portrait from Sun as a surprise for a family member. It wasn't a great quality picture, but Sun said she could do it. The portrait came out perfectly! She captured the two dogs (long-haired dachshunds) beautifully, even their personalities shine through the painting when you look at it. The entire process was very quick and Sun kept us updated on all of her progress. We did not have to make any changes, however, it was nice to be updated so if we had wanted to we could have. I will definitely get another portrait from Sun in the future. Thank you Sun!

Sun is a fabulous artist! I have now commissioned 12 portraits from her. She not only captured the physical features of each subject, she somehow captured their spirit, personality and soul. It is amazing to think all this can be communicated through art, but it can. She is extremely talented and keeps you involved throughout the process. I do not hesitate to recommend her to others. Sun is an amazing artist! I wanted to give my son and daughter-in-law a unique gift as a Christmas present. I emailed Sun a favorite photo I had taken on my camera phone of my 2 year old granddaughter kissing her 4 month old brother on his head. Sun was up for the challenge! She kept me updated on the progression of her rendering by emailing me routine images of her progress. I enjoyed seeing the development of her work in the various stages. The finished product was so "life like". The details in the portrait were so amazing that there was absolutely no question that she had captured the faces of my two grandkids. I almost wanted to keep the portrait for myself, but I did give it to my son and daughter-in-law who displayed their joy with a few tears! Thanks Sun for a job well done!

These photos of Jasmin's painting, (16x20) are beautiful but do not show the actual beauty of the portrait. I can not get over how Sun truly captured Jasmin's sweet disposition in her face and the hummingbird just brings the entire portrait together. Sometimes small details make all the difference. I love the impact of the full brush strokes to really get that gorgeous show coat of Jamin's captured. Just twenty minutes a day of brushing then combing brings out the elegance of a Shih Tzu with a long coat, which Sun so appropriately showed her talents and filled the canvas with showing that.

Sun has a powerful artistic talent and she never slacked in communication or posting updates to me of her work. Sun was prompt in starting this project and finishing. It is even more amazing that this is all done "free hand" and not digitally like so many others do, and the paints are thick and vibrant.

My frame should arrive tomorrow to get this wonderful work of art properly shown. It is a larger painting which I truly believe adds so much more depth to a painting than the smaller ones and justifies the price. If you are going to "immortalize" a subject then go larger and you wont regret the choice. It fills the room where you will display the finished art work, and a portrait light added to the frame just makes it "pop", (which I will get the portrait light soon).
