Dr. Hill and associates are very good. I would recommend them and I was happy to have them as my dentists. My complaint and the reason for the low rating is due to the person who deals with the insurance. I was told I would soon need a crown. The lady in charge of filing with the insurance companies told me my insurance would cover my crown 100%. Based on what she said, I went ahead with the crown. Then I received a bill for over $200. When I spoke to the lady at Smart Mouth, she said not all insurance companies will pay for this particular crown because they consider it cosmetic. This was never explained to me, or even mentioned as a possibility at all. I certainly would have waited on the crown had I known there would be an out of pocket expense. My former dental office in Ohio would always send off for preauthorization and out of pockets estimates prior to any work done. Smart Mouth assured me this was covered at 100% then billed me. This person knew that this was a possibility and didn’t explain it to me prior to the crown work. They have lost me as a patient over a $200+ bill. ☹
