Lowery's Gas and Convenience

This place is excellent. You almost skip it as a visitor to the area because gas station, eh. But give it a shot. We had burgers for lunch one day (the fried okra was so good!). Mine was a cheeseburger with chili, slaw, lettuce, tomato, and pickles. Mmm. Then stopped for breakfast on the way out of town on a Monday morning. Sausage egg and cheese biscuit with hash browns was very good, and others in our party got biscuits and gravy, omelettes, and eggs and toast. All perfect. The biscuits could not be better!

Great place to have breakfast even very early in the morning! Very cozy, and the food (I had biscuits with egg and cheese since I`m a vegetarian) was very good and very affordable. I would recommend this place for sure!

My husband had a cheeseburger and fries which he said was great. I had the pulled pork plate with slaw and baked beans. My plate was awesome and I was stuffed. Clean and friendly. We just stopped to grab a snack since we thought it was just a gas station. Excellent find!

Hands down the best and friendliest place to grab a snack, meal and more. The breakfast biscuits are second to none and the selection is of honey, jams and jellies is great. They have non ethanol fuel which is a plus and the staff are always happy to see you. I can't speak highly enough of this location. If you're in the area I highly recommend stopping by and seeing for yourself. Thank You for such a great experience!

Best sausage biscuits around. Every time we come up here to my buddy's mountain house we have to pick up biscuits. You have to come early too, otherwise they run out. It's also a convenient store gas station. Like chick fil A, their food is delicious and they close on Sundays.

Don't let appearances fool ya...This "gas station" is a GREAT place to eat. We love the BBQ, but they serve so much more. You MUST have the BBQ spicy....that's the best. Good home cooking at a great value served by nice folks. What could be better than that?

Stopped here on our way to Asheville, great place! BBQ and sauces were all PERFECT. They offer three sauces( mild/vinegar base, sweet, hot) and they were all delicious. Quick bites such as pulled pork, brisket, corn nuggets, you name it. Affordable and convienant. People were nice and the place was clean. Definitely stop here if you're into BBQ and have a taste for some authentic NC vinegar base BBQ.

My husband and I were starving after the trip and couldn't find any place for take out. For a very decent price they sold us rather nice cheeseburgers with fries and onions, coffee and a couple of pies which we were able to eat outside while our dog was chilling on the grass. Thanks for saving us, guys!

This place is great. No frills, just good food and good service. We stopped by here on the way home from Linville, and it was refreshing. I’ve seen poor reviews due to staff not wearing masks. Yep, not a mask in sight! 👏. Food was good, staff and patron like were all very friendly. Will definitely stop again anytime we’re in the area

Fantastic little spot. It's the best of what you'd expect from a roadside place. Ask the locals and I'm sure they'll tell you that this is the place to eat.
Had an awesome pulled pork sandwich with red slaw and hot sauce. Huge portion, tiny price.

This is a fantastic local spot with the best breakfast especially for the money. The staff are really courteous and you can feel the genuine kindness they show their patrons. Go there more than a few times and I bet they’ll call you by your name too!

Friendly staff and wonderful food. The staff is very clean and the food tastes amazing ! Great prices . If u like livermush or bologna they have the best . Also really great philly stake subs !

We stopped on our way to a blood drive to stretch our legs and grab a snack... little did we know they had full on restaurant in side. We grabbed some to go food and the service was great and the food was excellent.

This is a little country store that sale good barbecue the cheeseburgers and fries was absolutely delicious very good atmosphere the folks very friendly great service very convenient you also can get soft drinks and other little snacks also gas and also very easy to get in and out of fairly quick

Best of small town BBQ, flat top short order, and convienence when visiting Grandfather Mountain and the falls. Very friendly and helpful staff.
