A great little family owned sushi resturaunt, but beware, kitchen speed is slow compared to the sushi bar because Janet does all the cooking herself. But it is all worth the wait, I promise you!

This is the best sushi place, hands down! Ms. Janet and Abbie are amazing! The fish is top quality and the presentation is beautiful! We love eating here every week!

Ended up here by accident, and enjoyed every second of my visit! From the amazing recommendation down to the genuine conversation and obvious love and passion for her job, to that first bite of my very first sushi. It was simply amazing! Will definitely be back and bringing friends with me!! Great place and food was delicious! And presented very nicely. Love it and can’t wait to go back! The Asian sloppy joe AKA holy moly is what I ordered and it was tasty to the last bite. So glad I accidentally found this cute little sushi joint!

This is definitely a hidden treasure in Waynesville. Super fresh Nigiri and the tastiest dumplings and miso soup I’ve ever had. I’ll be remembering this meal for a long tome.

Ms Janet takes pride and aims to pleas. All she asks for is you patience since she makes all the food herself. The Miso Soup was delicious and not thin. The dumpling sauce is perfect. The Clyde Roll was wonderfully fresh, delicious and original. I will return frequently.

Spectacular sushi, she had black fin tuna tonight, a true Mom and Pop operation. You must be very patient and you will be rewarded with one the most phenomenal meals ever. My 93 year old Dad was even impressed;)

She has some of the freshest fish that you can find in Western Carolina. The service was informative and kind. There is only one person cooking, so they ask for you patience with delivering your food. It is worth the wait. The wait time wasn't even very long. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for fresh sushi and a good dining experience.

This is the best sushi you can get away from the coast. I would happily get fat eating it - and that would take a lot of sushi! ;) The kitchen menu is also amazing, some of the best pad thai I've ever had! You get great portions, and the prices are reasonable. Janet is a wonderful woman who is happy to get to know her guests, and personally works hard to make sure everyone has a good experience. We love her, we love Saki Sushi!!!

This is the best sushi you will ever eat. Amazing food, atmosphere, and staff. No place better anywhere!!! For the people complaining about wait times and saying they walked out 🤷 Your loss buddy. Nothing comes close to the food you will be served, Janet takes great pride in the quality of fish she serves. The reason you will never find anything better and the reason people travel from out of state to eat here. If you're looking for fast food go to a fast food joint.

Hands down the best sushi I have ever had. Janet is serious about the quality of her food and will not serve anything less than amazing. The food and service are unbeatable, and my wife and I have traveled from south carolina just to eat here multiple times.

We went in with a rather large group of almost 20 people. They were more than accommodating. They were incredibly friendly and made us feel welcome. Janet serves delicious food. If you are there with as many people as we were, be prepared to wait a bit after you order, but it is well with the wait. Absolutely delicious. This is the only place I will get sushi in the area from now on!!!

I am a frequent sushi eater, and I have been since I was just a little girl, so it’s a big accomplishment to earn the title of “The Best Sushi I Have Ever Eaten”, and this place has got it. Excellent service. Amazing dumplings, and of course sushi!

This local and unassuming place hides some of the best food I have ever eaten.
Janet's custom rolls are phenomenal. Her ginger salad dressing was on point.

This normally family run affair sometimes has friends help out. The night we were there Kelly and Tina were helping and we're both friendly and nice.

We absolutely adore dining with Janet and her family at Saki Sushi! The food is beyond compare and generousy portioned. Every single dish we try is made fresh to perfection. This restaurant is Waynesville’s best kept secret and run by the most precious family you could imagine. If you are looking for authentic and delicious Thai this is the place for you!

A small, intimate restaurant where the mother is the sole cook of the establishment and the daughter takes orders and serves the food. As mentioned before, there is only one cook at this restaurant so food will arrive as it is ready, and it may take a little longer. This is ok! The quality of the food is well worth the wait. The two employees of the restaurant are very approachable and friendly, and most of the patrons who frequent this restaurant. Give this place a try!

The owner is an awesome Sushi Chef with very high standards for her ingredients and has the artistry and skill to make mouth watering food. Good things come to those who wait, so order some Nigori Unfiltered Saki, sit back, relax, and enjoy some conversation while you wait for your order. I make new friends every time I visit this place.

We did not know what to expect from a sushi place in the mountains. Wow! Were we blown away. The sushi and fish quality is excellent. The owner is very nice and super friendly! This is our new go-to for sushi in the Waynesville area.

If I could give more stars on Google reviews, I would give Saki Sushi a million. This veteran family owned and operated restaurant is what comes to mind when you think of how loved food should taste.
Everything you eat is prepared by the owner. So everything you taste is top notch!
The husband, wife, and daughter team has great efficiency and respect of their customers. The quality of the food leaves you dreaming of your miso soup and sushi rolls for weeks to come. I wish I had a Holy Moly Roll typing this! Thank you for the best sushi of my life! (I've lived and tried sushi all over the US and this is the best.)

So excited Saki Sushi is back! Now better than ever before with high quality authentic Asian food! The service was excellent and the food was unbelievable! I highly recommend the beef udon and dumplings! Mmmmm! Everyone bring your friends and family, you HAVE to try it!
