MeMa's Chick'n' & Ribs

Random pick for lunch. I was not disappointed. The food was delicious and the customer service was top notch. The owner -Myra was so nice. The map in the hall with 📌 represents people who have visited in the US and the 📜 represents people from other countries, International. Put on your list of places to eat. You will not be disappointed. The food was fresh and seasoned to perfection. I ordered sauteed mushrooms, zucchini and ribs!

We came here for a late lunch, and laid out $50.64 for a veritable mountain of food-- a quarter chicken and ribs (4 bones) platter with sides of fried okra and zucchini, additional large sides of baked beans and potato salad, a huge banana pudding, and two refillable teas. The lightly seasoned and lightly smoked chicken stayed moist and packed with flavor to the last bite. Recommended. Ditto for the ribs, which separated cleanly at the bite. All four sides were top-notch, but we strongly, strongly recommend the fired zucchini ... and do not leave without a banana pudding in your tummy or in your hand. We did both, but then the food was so good that we walked out with extra portions for a late night snack. So, another very good BBQ stop-- our 360th across 35 states.

This is one of my and my family's favorite restaurants! The food is consistently so good, and the service is always great. I always order the fried catfish, and my husband always orders the ribs. My daughter has also become partial to the fried catfish, while my boys love getting hotdogs. Their sides and desserts are always amazing as well. MeMa's is the epitome of comfort food, and we are excited to watch them grow!

MeMa's was a jackpot find for a food stop on our way to the beach! Wonderful greetings (including our kids!), help with the menu, and the service was top-notch. The owner promised our five-year-old a treat if he finished his lunch and they brought out a prize basket when he did! We loved the smoked chicken and ribs and all the sides were good but our favorites were potato salad and the cornbread!

I am always looking for those hole in the wall local places and came across MeMa's on our way to Topsail! As soon as we walked in we were warmly greeted! The staff was great and super friendly! The food was amazing and there was so much of it! Definitely a place we will try and get back to again! Stop by if you are in the area or traveling through!

Our family was headed home from the Moore's battle ground (15 minute drive). We found MeMa's. The food and service was phenomenal. Everything was perfect! In the pictures we had fried catfish and fried shrimp with Okra and my favorite, the green beans!!! We highly recommend this establishment. Also, the restrooms were very clean. The inside was very memorable we'll definitely be coming back!

Food was delicious and great customer service and atmosphere. I went with friends who enjoyed their meal as well. Even if you don't eat meat the variety of vegetables were great. And the desserts were fantastic

We stopped by this place on the way back from the beach and we are glad we did. The food was delicious and fairly priced. We had enough food for 2 adults and 2 children, and still had plenty of food to take home for another meal. Everyone was extremely nice from the lady who placed our order to the lady that kept coming back to make sure we didn’t need anything. We felt like we were eating at our grandmas house and our kids also enjoyed their visit. This will definitely be our stop on the way back from the beach every year :)

Amazing ribs. Great atmosphere and service. This was a "half rack" of ribs. They're about 9 inches long and tender as can be.
Edit: The pulled pork here and every dessert they've ever made here are also amazing. This place is a must-visit if you're going anywhere near Wilmington.

Very Exceptional Food and Customer Service!! I ordered their Thanksgiving package, before ever trying their food. The word of mouth from my friends is what made me trust them and try them out. And I must say, they exceeded my expectations! And MeMa’s (Mrs. Myra) even went out their way to deliver my food to Wilmington and gifted me for my patience when they were running behind! I pray for nothing but blessings over blessings for MeMa’s, their family and staff!! Thanks again

This year's Thanksgiving meal was prepared by the folks at MeMa's Chick'n & Ribs and it was a huge success. I'd never tried smoked turkey before and can't believe I'd been missing out all these years. The dressing and gravy were awesome and I was told the collards were as well. This will be my go to next year.

Wonderful staff and atmosphere. Food was fresh and flavorful. The Strawberry Cheesecake was made with fresh whipped cream and it was delicious…just like she said it would be. Will make this my go to stop!!

I was working in Burgaw NC and wanted to stop at a local restaurant, and a quick Google search revealed MeMa’s Chick’n’ & Ribs. Any joint that puts ribs right in their name deserves an opportunity! I stopped in, and the helpful lady behind the counter told me about their menu (also visible from the order area on a large sign.) I decided that the fried catfish was calling my name, and paired it with sweet potato fries and baked beans. The sweet potato fries were solid, delivering exactly what you’d expect from them. The baked beans were chock full of crumbled bacon and ground beef, and didn’t taste like candy (as they often do at BBQ places.) They were smoky, reasonably sweet, and almost the star of the meal - until I bit into the catfish! Man, it was PERFECT. Seasoned with care, fried just right, and absolutely delicious. The service was friendly, the food came out pretty quickly (five minute wait, maybe?) Also, free refills on lemonade and tea. Their tea is good, too. It’s got a nice, deep flavor. All in all, this was a fantastic meal, and I hope I’m in Burgaw again soon!

I saw this place on the news and decided to take the 45min drive to try it. The restaurant is bright and cozy! They have excellent customer service The food was great! My favorite was the fried mushrooms and the turkey leg. I will definitely be back!

I give everything 5 stars. As of the date I visited here, the 100% sanitation score was a nice site to see. The entire place was spotless, plenty of soap and hot water in the restroom (very clean there, too). The personality of these folks was amazing. They were very welcoming and were truly glad to see you come in. I ordered a BBQ plate with green beans and zucchini. The seasoning was perfect (reminded me of my grandmother's cooking). Dessert was awesome, too, as they persuaded me to have the key lime pie, home made with home made whipped topping, too. The food and the whole environment was just awesome. It cost a little more than your fast food joint but the old saying "you get what you pay for" never held more true than it did here. Worth every penny. Will definitely come back again when passing through.

Had the pleasure of working with Mrs. Myra for a Thanksgiving feast for my cousin and was so grateful Mrs. Myra served her with a 24 hour notice on THANKSGIVING!!! Mrs. Myra might serve up some awesome food but today she served up being the hands and feet of Jesus!!! My cousin called me and cried just feeling all the love and I couldn’t be more thankful that Mrs. Myra helped us so quickly!! My cousin said the food was so good!!!! Call Mrs. Myra for your next event! She was a pleasure working with!!

We stopped here on our way back from the beach and we were pleasantly surprised! Food was delicious and the staff was very friendly and helpful!! I absolutely love their adorable rustic farmhouse theme and atmosphere. We will definitely stop here again! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐❤

Experienced MeMa's for the first time at Mayberry Days in Mt.Airy, NC. Ribs and chicken were the best we have ever had! Myra was so kind and gave us a sample of their rub. We came back the next day to try their pulled pork. Did not disappoint! These people know their stuff and their professionalism makes their business a treasure! I’m from Chicago and am SO glad I randomly found this place! The food was delicious, highly recommend the mac and cheese, but what really makes this stand out is the kindness and authenticity of all the staff. I felt welcomed into the family! Check it out for yourself :)

If you are in town, just go! Delicious food, friendly staff and atmosphere. We were just passing through and so glad we stopped! Also, the BEST lemonade I’ve ever had!
