What a magical place! We had the best time in Yew Tree Cabin surrounded by water and so much wildlife. Bob and Tracy made us feel so welcome and the breakfast provided was delicious. We’d love to come back to see the dolphins and otters at other times of year. We already want to plan our next trip back.

We had a great time at this perfectly located quaint inn. My review is 5-stars. The 5 stars are not for complete luxury or top of the line amenities. The 5 stars are for what you dont get here, no traffic noise, totally surrounded by nature, an inn that is lost in times past, owners that are committed to the rural and rustic character of the property, and modernity. We had full views of sunrises and sunsets for two days. Tons of wildlife such as birds, deer, rabbits, foxes, etc. The room was perfectly decorated as it must have been 100 years ago. The owners were very accomodating and helpful. We cant wait to go back.

We had an amazing experience here -- we had our wedding here in September and even though it turned into a tropical storm on the day of our wedding, Bob and Tracy handled everything perfectly! The setting was beautiful, our tent stayed intact, and everyone had a blast. I cannot recommend this place highly enough! Bob and Tracy were great to work with. The inn and its grounds are beautiful and peaceful. We loved having our wedding here as well as being guests here, and we hope to come back soon!

Spectacular views all around!! The inn keepers Tracey and Bob were very friendly and kind. We stumbled upon this Inn and once we saw the grounds, we knew we wanted to stay here. They were beyond accommodating. We stayed in a private cottage overlooking the water. The sunrise from the bedroom window was amazing! Perfect place for some quiet, quality time. There are some great food places in the area and it’s not far from downtown St. Michaels. We will definitely be back!

If you want peace and quiet surrounded by beautiful scenery this is the place for you. This B & B is both quaint and full of history as well as beautiful art. No matter where you looked there was always something new delighting the eyes.
We saw bald Eagles, snowy egrets, ospreys, kestrals and a loon on our walk around the property. The water was so beautiful to just stand and watch. In the morning, many small fishing boats were checking there lines just off shore.
Bob and Tracy are wonderful. Very friendly and welcoming.
The gates were a bit tricky if you are arriving alone or after dark. But the instructions emailed beforehand by Bob and Tracy were very helpful.
The only slight downside was the downstairs had a rather strong scent of grandma's house. Not an issue for most people but if you are very sensitive to scents this might be something to consider. However, the room I was staying in did not have that smell at all. The bed was cozy, the bathroom very clean, the view from the windows was beautiful.
Also note this is a historic house. Beautiful, old construction. If you are very tall, you will need to duck on the stair case.

I stayed here recently for a wedding and it was such an amazing and beautiful experience!! My partner and I stayed in the 1840's house and it was one of the coziest and cleanest stays I've ever had. The inn keepers Bob and Tracy are so kind, accommodating, and genuine, and they will make you feel welcomed from the start. The rooms are all very unique, clean, and comfortable and the complimentary breakfasts are to die for. Really the only downside to the stay were the mosquitos and biting flies (which obviously only Mother Nature can control) so come prepared with lots of bug spray! Even if you forget yours at home, Bob and Tracy will make sure they hook you up. I will definitely be returning at some point to soak in the amazing atmosphere at Black Walnut Point Inn.

As a DC wedding photographer, I don't get to document a lot of beach wedding so I was beyond excited about this location.

As a very creative photographer, I thought there were so many possibilities to create truly unique photos for my couple.

I loved every minute of working there and I would be thrilled to get to shoot another wedding there. Between the crazy sunset and the fireworks, this wedding venue offers so much to their couple and their families. I warmly recommend this wedding venue for anyone who wants a unique decor for their wedding in Maryland.

It's absolutely seren, beautiful and relaxing peaceful. Of course it could have been that my wife and I were the only guests there in February on my birthday 😄. It's a historical setting on Eastern Shore in Maryland on historic maritime Tilghman Island MD.Our host Bob was magnificent. Most come here for weddings and in the summer months. We loved it as a beautiful stay in the middle of the week off season. We stayed at one of the cabins.Come visit soon.

My wife and I stayed at Black Walnut Point Inn recently for a friend's wedding. The property is in a really unique location surrounded by water and nature. The rooms were comfortable and fit the classic b+b look and feel of the property. Nice pool and hammocks/chairs all around the property too.
Bob and Tracy were great hosts and were happy to help us and our friends have a great time before, during and after the wedding.
Highly recommend for a relaxing and low stress stay on the Chesapeake.

This was absolutely the perfect wedding venue to get married at and I can’t recommend it enough. The views and natural beauty are astounding, and Bob and Tracy were such a joy to work with throughout this entire process. As soon as we stepped foot on the property and met with them, we knew it was the perfect spot, and everything from then on confirmed that. Bob and Tracy kept us on track throughout the entire wedding process, and allowed us to craft our perfect wedding that was perfectly us. They had so many great recommendations, not only for vendors, but also for little details of the ceremony and reception. Their professionalism and guidance saved so much stress throughout the entire planning process. They had worked with all of the vendors before, and it was so reassuring to have such a professional and competent team working together. The wedding went so smoothly because of this, and we were able to enjoy the weekend so much more because they were in control of everything. It was also so great to have the venue for the entire weekend, which not only allowed us ample time to set up and break down everything, but also allowed us to spend a lot of quality time with our closest friends and family. The Inn and cabins slept the entire bridal party perfectly, and it was so special that we all got to be together all weekend, without having to worry about traveling anywhere or running late. We could simply stroll from our rooms to the reception or the ceremony. From the time we walked in, Bob and Tracy made us feel like family, and the rooms and grounds were so clean and well maintained that it felt like our own little private island. Everyone was able to forget about the outside world and just enjoy the incredible beauty of the Choptank and Chesapeake Bay. Where else can you be surrounded by water and have a front row seat to the gorgeous sunrises and sunsets that you can only find on the Eastern Shore? It made for such an amazing wedding weekend, and it was truly more special than words can express. Our friends are already plotting ways for us to all get together again back at the Point. I cannot recommend Black Walnut and Bob and Tracy enough for your wedding, or for just a relaxing getaway.

There is no better place to get married than Black Walnut Point Inn. Not only is the location itself magical and scenic, as you are surrounded by water with beautiful sunsets, but Bob and Tracy are incredible people who will help you craft the best day possible and who you will genuinely enjoy having at your wedding. Tracy officiated our wedding and brought the perfect amount of sentiment and humor to the ceremony. They truly make you feel like family while staying at Black Walnut and do everything in their power to make sure your weekend is amazing. Having the entire inn for the weekend was also wonderful. We loved being able to spend that time with the bridal party and family, and not have to rush to pack up and leave the venue after the wedding was over. This is a beautiful place to get married, made better by the wonderful people who run it! Can’t recommend it enough and can’t wait to visit again.

This gorgeous inn had the most beautiful views of the ocean and wildlife. We saw so many birds soaring through the sky! The rooms were very comfortable, the hammocks were great, and the breakfast (included) was delicious and home cooked by the friendly owners! If you want a quiet, secluded place surrounded by water where the sunrises are to die for, Black Walnut Point Inn is just the spot!

We had our wedding here and LOVED every minute of it! Bob and Tracey are amazing and made all of my out-of-town family feel welcomed. The Inn is quaint and much like stepping into your grandma’s cozy house. It’s a wonderful place to get away from the hustle and bustle!

While I did not stay on property, I had the opportunity to experience this wonderful place when my dad and my stepmom got married. The scenic coastal charm was what first impressed me about this B&B. While it’s not brand new or state of the art, one could say that it feels more like a favorite pair of perfectly broken-in tennis shoes than flashy Manolos that pinch. As for the innkeepers, I saw them work hard to make sure that even during (what I suspected to be) a hurricane my parents wedding was beautiful and personal! If you are thinking of staying here, do it! You won’t be disappointed but you will definitely be charmed!

I'm lying on a hammock overlooking the Chesapeake Bay while the sun starts to set. All I can hear are birds and dragonflies... butterflies are everywhere. This is a God send... this is a sanctuary... somebody pinch me!
When you look at the aerial photo of this gorgeous place it doesn't account for all the many little private nooks in which to relax and reflect.
An Adirondack chair under a tree branch trellis, in a chair on the porch with a busy bird's nest above chattering away, or pitch a chair next to the butterfly bushes and watch their show.
I woke up and had a cup of coffee sitting on the rocks watching waterfowl fly by and fish jumping.
There are no worries here, no concerns, they're not allowed.
There was a wedding here just before I arrived. I couldn't imagine a more beautiful or tranquil location to express your vows.
The house is just amazing! It's history is a story unto itself. A vintage gem decorated about in ornaments and plates passed down by a loving grandmother. It's charming and it feels like home.
The rooms are very quaint and the cabins are outstanding! Breakfast is wonderful! A Western egg souffle, fresh blueberry pancakes, cinnamon roll bread pudding, coffee, tea, juices and all the fixings. Heaven!
Bob and Tracy are such warm, kind and thoughtful hosts providing everything you need even if you didn't know you needed it. So true. They want you to be happy, truly cared for and warmly welcomed. What an incredible experience this was. I thank you both so much! Thank you for your kindness.....
