Over the years, I have had to use this resource many times. They have ALWAYS been professional and helpful. As with any State agency, their ability to help, depends on available funding.

They have changed the way they do intakes. For an appointment, you will need to call on Friday morning (ONLY Friday Morning) starting at 8:00 a.m. If the line is busy, hang up and keep trying, until you get through. Once the "appointment" slots are filled, you will have to wait another week.

I have always hated and embarrassed to ask for help. But almost a couple years ago I had a situation beyond my control come up. I called OACAC and they were able to help. They have never made me feel bad for asking and reassured me they are there to help. the staff has always been friendly.

I’ve been working with them since my family was quarantined for the pandemic. Bill Bell, the gentleman whose dedicated a lot of time to helping me find additional resources and helping us keep a roof over our head, and answered my questions, has always been so kind as well as the others that have assisted me. I always was afraid to reach out for help because my prior experience with organizations and asking for help, sometimes people can be mean and cold, but that was NOT my experience with them. You can tell they are very passionate about assisting those in need and really care. Thank you guys for helping my family and others in the community.

They are a great bunch of people. No judgement and so very helpful. God bless these people and all they do.thank you so very much you helped me so very much when I had no one.

They treat you like you're a human being even though you're asking for assistance they don't treat you like a number or they're doing you a big favor they really do it out of the kindness their hearts Amanda was so sweet all of the staff are so sweet and so caring they really make you feel really good the hope they offer is a godsend these are amazing people

It takes a little bit to go through the process but OACAC offers many grants to low-income people. This is a wonderful resource in Greene County.

OACAC is a very helpful organization. You need to make an appointment before you go but appointments are usually available within a week.

This place says they will help you but the waiting list is long because by time they schedule your appointment you've done got everything done by yourself
