Izola's Place

I should have taken photos before we started shoveling food but I honestly didn't think the food would be so good. It was a very tiny restaurant maybe 6 tables or so. We had breakfast and it was just some wholesome delicious old fashioned food. I would definitely stop here again and again. Its the kind of place that makes you feel like you are on an adventure.

Had breakfast there this morning. Ham, scrambled eggs, hash browns, toast. In my advanced age I don't eat nearly as much as I used to. By the time I was half done I was full. However the food was so good I kept eating until it was all gone. The wife had a pulled pork sandwich and fries. I had a bite of hers and it was delicious also. We seldom pass through Louisiana during Izola's business hours. We will be making an effort to get there when she is open in the future.

It's a great little place to start your day. The owner is the best lady.
The "Morning Roundtable Regulars" are great for conversation. Your coffee cup will never be empty.

We stopped in while driving through. Everyone was so welcoming and kind. The food was some of the best we have had, real home cooking.

Super sweet woman cooking, serving, and cleaning up for her guests from her kitchen. Good food and great coffee. Definitely be going back.

We were just passing through, stopped here, had a delicious breakfast plus a yummy piece of peach cobbler. Delish food, highly recommend!

I have had breakfast here a couple of times and it was very good. It's a small diner, cozy, and everyone is super friendly including the fellow patrons. If you're looking for a small-town diner, this is it!

Although it may not look like much from the outside, Izola's is one of the best places we've eaten in a while! From the family atmosphere and friendships made to the great food and reasonable price for the amount of delicious food served everything was as if I was sitting around Mama's kitchen table.

An experience that you shouldn’t miss. A slice of americana that is disappearing everywhere. Down home country cooking at its best. Ramshackle appearance is genuine, but don’t let it prevent you from coming in for pie, pork steaks or tenderloin.

Tiny restaurant, fantastic food! Local Patrons and owners are very nice, everyone shares the duty of bringing coffee around.

7 tables, very, very small place, full of hilarious and fun locals. I miss this place already. The food is like eating at Grandmas' house, nothing fancy, just GOOD, satisfying, down home breakfast with friends that you don't know yet, but want to know.

Isola's has a tasty breakfast. Tiny building with one lady cooking delicious eggs, biscuits and gravy, french toast. So good. Sweet lady. Highly recommend this restaurant for home cooking. She makes bbq for lunch.

We absolutely LOVE Mrs Izola's! The size of the pancakes is amazing! We live just east of Jefferson City and will drive the 2 hours just to see Mrs Izola, visit, and eat the food she pours her heart into with every dish!!

This place has awesome breakfast food. Just as good as home cooked. And the coffee is so good!!! Will definitely eat here again if we come through Louisiana
