Awesome trail! There were a lot of people on a nice fall day. The parking lot was full but there are other parking spots in lots nearby. The trail stars off as paved and then you can step off into a more forest-y trail which is more my jam! There were lots of hills which was perfect for some exercise and when you get to the top, it is a beautiful overview of the river! We did about a 4 mile hike around the whole park. It was perfect. 🍁👍

Truly awesome trails to hike. Some of the best ones close to the kc metro area. Be advised though…if you aren’t use to long walks/ hikes, you need to follow the maps/ markers or you can find yourself walking more than what might be able to handle.

Lot’s of hills, dips, paved parts, some dirt. Mostly in the shade.

Great state park for walking / hiking. The trails are well marked and very serene. Views of the River are somewhat blocked by overgrowth of trees that make scenic overlook less than optimal. Great for a 2, 3 or 4 mile hike with some elevation differences.

If you like hiking, you can't go wrong at Weston Bend State Park. There are a variety of trails, lengths of trails, mediums of trails.

We did the green trail. Paved but lots of sharp inclined. Work those glutes. Saw lots of butterflies and birds. Mostly shaded.
