This family owned gem is delightful. The relaxed atmosphere reminded me of being at home except tonight I didn't have to make dinner. The employees were smiling and friendly. The food portions are huge and delicious. The service was that off a high end restaurant without the pricing. I can't wait to come again!!

Had supper here before Eagleman 70.3 and everything was so good! My favorites were the Alfredo and sausage & sweets pizza (one of the best pizzas I’ve ever had). It was extremely busy but the family running it was so nice and accommodating. Thanks for making athletes feel welcome - we can’t wait to eat here again in September!

We have been fortunate to eat at Carmela’s on 3 separate occasions while visiting family in Cambridge. Everything we have tasted has been superb including salads, pizza and all sorts of pasta. The pictured lasagna was perfect, generous and at $15, a great value. We passed on the 16 oz sirloin special the last time we were there but our table neighbors assured us it was terrific. You will love this place.

This place is amazing! The Caprese salad was so fresh and tasty. I indulged in the fettuccine carbonara and was not disappointed.😋 My husband had the chicken marsala and was blown away! Can't wait to go back!!
P.s. We also enjoyed a delicious slice of Easter cake...

Wonderful Italian food. Actual authentic pasta noodles, sauce, and reggiano cheeses. The staff seems like a nice family and is very friendly + interactive with guests, bringing a warm atmosphere. We particularly enjoyed the special seafood pasta and Chicken Parmesan

Thanks again

Local as local as you can get! Small Italian restaurant. When you walk in and hear Italian spoken and on the tv you found a gem. All homemade marinara. benissimo !

If you ever go to Cambridge, MD you must eat at this lovely Italian restaurant. I attended a conference and stopped by for pizza. My goodness, it was divine. I stopped by on the way home for a large pie. The food is authentic, the staff are kind and the smell and taste is so good. I am in love. I wish I did not live 2 1/2 hours away. Great place, please support them!❤

My wife and I were first time visitors to this place and we were not disappointed at all. The food was very good and home made, which you could tell the difference, and the atmosphere is very family and home friendly. I would definitely suggest it to anyone who comes to the area.

I had a delightful experience!. The food was excellent, and the service provided by the owner was top-notch. However, I do have a minor complaint about my pasta scampi, which seemed a bit soggy at the bottom of the plate and could have been better presented. Nonetheless, overall, everything was wonderful, and my family thoroughly enjoyed the quality of the food. We look forward to returning soon."

The food was prepared very quickly. I ordered out on a Monday evening for dinner. The Philly pizza was good, although, it should come with some marinara or pizza sauce. The BBQ wings were fine. The ole bay fries were straight cut and good af. The cheese steak was clean and delicious. I did enjoy the grilled chicken Caesar wrap. I cannot wait to return to try the more authentic Italian dishes. Keep up the good work and thank you. No pictures were taken.

You will have a very hard time finding a better place to eat than Carmela’s Cucina. The pizza was perfect - light crispy crust, perfect amount of cheese, sauce was on point. The cheesesteaks here are awesome also, last one I had that was that good was in Philly. Friendly staff and good atmosphere, I’ll definitely be back.

Great food! We're on vacation and the kids wanted pizza. We love choosing local pizzerias when on vacation and Carmela's didn't disappoint! Even gave us paper plates. The Sausage and Sweet pizza is delicious!

26-Aug-2018 My brother recommended this restaurant, as he and his wife and children have enjoyed the food here on multiple occasions. I was very pleased with his recommendation! We grew up in NYC and are very familiar with small, family owned and operated Italian restaurants like those located in Queens and Brooklyn. "hidden gems" as I like to say. Places you may not necessarily find on your own, but are very glad you did! The food was excellent! My brother commented on how good the Pizza and the stuffed shells are here. My problem tonight was that I didn't want pizza.... I wanted a pasta dinner. So I did what any rational person would do. I ordered a slice of pizza AND the dinner special, the trio of meat lasagna, stuffed shell and manicotti... with extra sauce of course, because in my opinion you cannot have too much red sauce! The pizza was excellent, reminiscent of that I enjoyed as a kid in NY which is the only real style of pizza there is :-) I greatly enjoyed the pasta trio as well! I managed to EAT EVERYTHING. Salad, garlic focaccia, slice of pizza and the entire trio... It was THAT GOOD. My favorite part of the trio was the manicotti. Perfect pasta texture, rolled around perfectly creamy ricotta. Smooth.... So smooth, no lumps. Perfect. I will be back the next time I'm in MD to visit my brother. PS.... I meant to include a full pic of the trio meal plate. I got so excited when the plate reached the table, I forgot to take a pic till is was almost done! I also included a picture of my sister in law's Penne a la Vodka. She loved it!.

Stopping in for a meal while traveling after Ironman Maryland, Carmela’s Cucina is incredible. Family run and using the best ingredients, there are few Italian restaurants we have been to in all of our travels across the States that compare. All made in house on demand and served hot, nothing is held back with the generous portions and affordable pricing. We loved the atmosphere and will stop here again if we are ever close to Cambridge again!

Amazing food. Made to order. Fresh, high quality ingredients. Service was amazing. Walked in with a party of 10 no reservations. They quickly made accommodations for us and gave us the back room for us to have space and be comfortable.

Spoke with the actual owner Carmela and our server was Reese. They advised us that the chef was from Italy and it was very telling because this food was the best Italian food I’ve had and I’ve travelled in Italy.

We had lasagna, fettuccine Alfredo, shrimp scampi, veal Marsala, seafood pizza, French fries, chicken cheesesteak, caprese salad, house salad and cannolis. I would recommend EVERYTHING!

Do yourself a favor and visit if you’re nearby. This is a 5 star experience for an unbelievably low price.

We love Carmela's Cucina! My husband and I cruise our motor yacht from Beaufort, NC to Cambridge in the spring and the fall. Tonight, we had house salad with blue cheese, he had linguini with clam sauce, I had eggplant parma, and we shared a bottle of Chianti and a cannoli. Homemade pasta, sauces and authentic recipes -- it was divine! Reesi's service is friendly and attentive, and Charlie and Carmela welcome everyone like family. Our stay in Cambridge would not be the same without Carmela's, our favorite little Italian restaurant.

This is the best Italian locally owned restaurant on the eastern shore. The owners are very attentive and welcoming. The food is very delicious & authentic. The customer service is exceptional. Our team eats here very often.

Yes, yes, a thousand times yes.

I know, it doesn't look like much from the outside, from the painted cinder blocks to the miller/coors lite fluorescent lights...but they put all their effort into cooking talent, excellent service, and kindness.

It was hot inside because the air conditioner was broken, but once the food came we completely forgot. Our palettes were astounded by the food we ordered. We began with the caprese salad. Our entrees were the lemon chicken (sub gnocchi), and the frutta del mare.

The lady who served us was exactly the type of lady you'd want taking care of you for the rest of your life. I can't wait to go back!
