Holiday Inn Express & Suites Commerce, an IHG Hotel

Five stars because it was modern, clean, and in a safe location. Work booked me here for 2 nights and I wouldn't hesitate to come back. A few caveats are that it can be noisy due to the thin walls and floors (more than I would expect) so I was glad that I brought my sleep machine. Additionally, the water here is very soft resulting in dryer skin than I am used to so I was thankful that lotion was available. Many chains around, but ended up driving to Akron for decent nightlife and entertainment.

My first stay here and was pleasantly surprised of how quiet the room was being that was next to a busy road with lots of traffic. Room was clean, quiet, and comfortable.

The hotel location is great, close to plenty of restaurants, stores and highways, would stay here again.

Overall, the hotel was clean. There is an on-site washer and dryer, which makes it possible to go home with clean laundry. The gym equipment was in good working condition and the gym room was clean.

Every staff member I encountered was welcoming, especially the front desk! The ladies working the front desk have the kind of personality that makes you feel right at home. I had some minor issues that came up (key stopped working, needed more towels and needed bedding for pullout bed) and those ladies helped me with a smile and small talk that made me feel at ease, like I was dealing with a friend.

We stayed for 5 nights in a 2-queen suite. The room and bathroom were clean. The beds were comfortable, we all slept peacefully. I will say that when I booked the suite, I imagined there would be second room. This was not the case, the room is one large room with 2 beds and a couch that had a pullout bed, I wish the website would be updated with pictures of the suite so I would have had a better expectation. In the room, I liked the hooks for hanging jackets and backpacks. There is a bench where you can leave suitcases and store shoes underneath; this was great when traveling with 4 children as it helped keep the room free of clutter. There were plenty of outlets available for charging all of our devices.

The bathroom had a nice sized mirror and good lighting. Showers were hot with great water pressure! I wish the bathroom was stocked with more than 2 towels to start. But, like I said the front desk ladies are wonderful and fixed that for me with a quick phone call.

The pool was typical of a hotel. My youngest enjoyed playing in the water at the end of the day. The water was cooler than I like, but my son didn't seem to mind.

Breakfast was great, the room was nice and clean big too! The bed and pillows are top-notch. The staff was lovely. Also had fresh cookies available to guests throughout the day! The only problem I had was the noise of the highway next door, it was a bit too loud but our room was on the very end closest to it.

Location is great! There is shopping nearby. A Mexican restaurant and Applebee's basically in the "backyard" (walking distance) check in was smooth, rooms reasonably priced, indoor pool. It is not heated, but the room the pool is in is. Great breakfast buffet to get your day started. . If we are ever in the area we will definitely stay here again. 3 pictures of the crystals that formed on my windshield.

Clean, super friendly front desk morning and night shifts! Would absolutely stay here again! Can't impress me any more with the front desk peeps. They were AMAZING! Nice clean room too!

Is there an option to give this place more than five stars?

Seriously. Not only is the staff incredibly friendly and the Hotel immaculately clean, the mattresses are super comfortable with an abundance of pillows that are equally comfortable. giant televisions, super clean bathrooms.

The hotels continental breakfast it’s definitely more like a small morning buffet .

The management has gone above and beyond to care for their guests and for me in particular.
During my stay I ended up having a bug/ sickness … The management respected my quarantining in my room. They actually brought breakfast to my door and left it outside of my door as well as a bottle of water ( without me asking ) .

They checked on me a couple of times to see if I needed anything. I had a package delivered to the hotel and they brought it up to my room and left it outside of my door.

To call the management of this hotel compassionate and caring would be an understatement. I will be calling their corporate offices to sing their praises because they have gone above and beyond what would ever be expected from hotel staff.

10 stars across-the-board. If you were going to stay anywhere in commerce Georgia other than here than you are doing yourself a disservice.

I've been staying here pretty much since it opened. I have alot of business in the area, and it's perfectly placed to access all of the cities and counties in this part of northeast Georgia. I've stayed here over 10 different times, and it's always the best place in the area. The rooms are clean, the breakfast is what I expect from an Express, and the staff is typically friendly and helpful.

I regularly see the hotel staff having meetings to discuss the business, which tells me they're trying to keep a high morale and keep the staff informed.

Excellent customer service. I called to book a room. The young lady that answered the phone was so helpful . The rooms were clean and the beds comfy. Grest location.

I am going to say this, I have never seen a staff that have worked so calmly as they did doing high volume. This hotel is near a shopping outlet. Near an interstate, and was able to accommodate us during a high peak day! Nice omg! The staff did not flinch kept a smile Even when they were short staffed! Our rooms were clean. They were having a birthday party! Everyone was calm! The lobby was clean and inviting. The breakfast was a 5 out of 10, other than that I am well pleased!

I don't have a lot of experience with the other hotels in the area but I doubt they get much better than this. Very nice property that is well kept. Free breakfast was good. Location is a little odd as it's so close to a small strip mall. Highway noise can be an issue, keep your ac unit running.

Super clean! Over the top staff. I’m all about walking in a hotel room and spelling the cleanliness. Beds were super comfy. Will definitely be back. The young lady that checked us in was so pleasant and helpful. I believe her name is Missy…

Rooms clean, self parking, breakfast in am (always a bonus), my only complaint is the woman who checked us in came off as rude. Lady in the morning was better.

Really great hotel!! Staff was extremely nice when I checked in. Very helpful in letting me what was where. Even housekeeping was cool with us leaving some towels outside the door. I will definitely recommend this hotel and would love to stay here again.

Great retro, open-lobby floorplan with sections for small gatherings. Very clean and orderly, which is a great first impression. Front desk manager, Stephanie, was very kind and professional. She helped me with rate information for a later date and answered all of our questions! Wow..I was very impressed! If our stay is handled half as well, it will be a great time.

We stayed here because all of the hotels in Athens were booked for the UGA championship parade, and I'm glad we did. The staff was EXTREMELY friendly, there were tons of shopping and dinner options near us, and the rooms were very clean! We didn't plan very well this time, but next time we will pack swim suits for our kids to enjoy the indoor pool. This will be our new place to stay for UGA games as it's only a 30 min drive to Athens and right off of I-85.

If I could have given more stars, I would have! Service was excellent, especially Cobey at the front desk! Room was SPOTLESS and was serviced daily!!
