Great area for kids sporting activities (ie. soccer, baseball, and softball) thru NSA. They have numerous baseball and soccer feilds for different levels/ages.

Baseball:
Besides numerous baseball fields, they have hitting/pitching cages for warming up or practicing. They have bleachers for spectators, but they can fill up fast.

Soccer:
They have around 10 plus soccer fields in 2 separate area's throughout the park. They have benches for players and some random bleachers throughout the soccer areas. I would definitely recommend bringing your own chair for both but especially soccer.

Overall Park:
They have numerous restrooms throughout the park and a nice playground. Typically, on baseball game days (when all feilds are being used), they have the concession stand open. It's not open during baseball practices or for any soccer games/practices. The concession stand is located in the middle of all the baseball fields.

I would recommend checking it out. If they are slightly interested, sign your kid(s) up for soccer, baseball, or basketball thru NSA. It definitely beats the kids watching tv or playing video games. They'll hopefully learn something new, make some friends, be physically active, and most importantly, have fun.

The entrance to the park is gated off when there are no games or practices scheduled.

Night, ball games. Every experience is great. Good snacks and service. Plenty of room and so many kids can gather to play and run around. Always the family part for us to watch a game. ❤

This is a little hidden gem of a park located near HWY 152 and I-435 in the northwestern corner of the Kansas City Metro. It has two main entrances, if you are arriving from HWY 152, the first entrance on your right is where you will find baseball/softball fields, a playground, an entrance to a hiking trail, and a shelter with picnic tables.

The upper entrance, located a few hundred meters north of the first entrance, is primarily for soccer fields, also has a shelter, and another trail entrance where you will find a lot where horseback riders will park their trailers during rides.

Both parks are owned by the Kansas City, Missouri and maintained by both the non-profit groups that program sports activities AND the city. When the sports seasons aren't ongoing, you won't find as much maintenance on the fields as during the seasons.

The trail is rugged, natural, unpaved, rocky, and has a tremendous amount of growth. It's not some suburban, trimmed and maintained, unnatural trail. You will get ticks and spurs and other little impediments on you as you hike.

The playground is really good, according to my kids, and the fields are pretty well maintained for recreation level sports.

I give this place five stars.

This is a beautiful part I would suggest anyone going to explore the great outdoors there's some me hiking trails it's unbelievable. This piece of land as many things to find we found a creek a river mushrooms many rocks and other fun things. There's quite a large deposit of red rocks on the property they're really cool look kind of like granite but are really red.

My family and I have been coming here ever since we moved to KC. Never failed to have a great time. For the price you pay ($9 for adults or $6 for kids) it's really a great deal considering how many water activities there are. Like a mini Worlds of Fun!

We discovered this place on our way home! The dogs were getting anxious from all the driving so when stop by to let them run a bit. We stayed longer than we planned. The place is calm and relaxing, and the view is amazing you cant beat it!.
And the dogs loved it, so much room for them run around

It is a nice place to stop and see nature as it was before man. But be so close to KCI Airport that you are under the flight path. But there are deer, raccoons and birds that make sounds to help you calm down from the drone of mankind. The Park also has water falling in the creeks through it. You stand or sit still long enough and you feel the City being left behind in your minds eye.

Come and enjoy a Break from the normal.

I haven't explored all of what this park has to offer, however, I will say the open spaces are refreshing and lovely. There's a soccer and baseball field as well as walking trails.
