Linda's Books and Stuff

Magical! What an unexpected gem, so much fun for a true book lover. I personally enjoyed being in the middle of towering walls of books, it was gloriously overwhelming. A perfect place to browse and take your time, slow down, and be quiet.

This place is something else. You need to visit and just wander down the labrynthine walls of books. I honestly haven't seen a place like this since the 80's, and it's so great that places like this are still around, albeit much harder to find. The selection is mind-boggling: I went with the intention of finding old pulpy Star Trek novels from decades back and I wasn't disappointed. Saw many titles I haven't seen in ages. The staff was cordial and helpful and the store amazing. Worth a visit.

Great bookstore. They have well over 100,000 books, I would say. Me and my wife read a lot of Christian books. They had a while section with 4 or 5 different bookshelves with the types of books we read. I have never been in any bookstores, with even close to the number of books that were available here. Most books I checked were $4 or $5 as well, so they were decently priced as well.

When you step in you might be intimidated. Books everywhere!! Now, that being said, it is organized. If it’s not there then it probably doesn’t exist. She’s also exceptionally friendly.

Absolutely wonderful place. I was in book heaven

I went to this book store( which by the way is the only book store in Highlands county). To check if she had any books on Hot wheels toy cars. She didn't have any in her stock on hand. But she did research any books available. And i ordered a book( by the way, you have to pay for the book before she will order it)( the price of the book plus a $3.00 up charge for her time and trouble. Which i think is more than fair). She order the book and you check back in a week( which is the normal time it takes to get the book in). When the book comes in. It is your responsibility to check back and go get your book. She has been doing research for two other books i want to order. But i have been waiting to order cause she is leaving for a vacation of 10 days. So i am waiting until she returns from her vacation to go back in and order the two books i want. Good place to do business and more then fair prices( considering she is the only book store in Highlands county and could jack the price way higher then she does.) So she has got more than fair prices for books that you order in. I will deafeningly be going back to do more business with her.

Miss Linda is the most amazing woman on earth! She knows right where to find everything! Her store won our hearts when we first moved here and we love it all the more today. We brought our daughter while in elementary school when she found her love of reading. Our daughter is now 25 and visiting Linda's Books is even a better experience now!
We can say, if Linda doesn't have it, she can get it... but it is probably in store now! It is such a fun shop... filled to the brim of every single type of book imaginable! This is the brightest more wonderful Gen in all of highlands county and beyond!

They say if you love what you do you'll never work a day in your life. Linda loves what she does and it shows on the shelves and her knowledge of her inventory, over 100,000 titles!

Linda's is great if you are a reader. No matter what your looking for I'm sure she has it. I really appreciate Linda though for how she treats special needs adults. She allows them to come into her business and help out when no one else in the area will. She's a very special lady.

I was in the area and stopped on the way home. Navigating the store was easy but somewhat cramped but not too cramped. I didn't walk out with just a book... But SEVEN VHS Tapes! Linda is very nice, we struck up a conversation about "Shining Time Station" a show from the 80s that is well known amongst Thomas fans (I'm not a Thomas fan but I watched this show as a kid) and I found EXACTLY what I was looking for! Will definitely be back! (Also I heard there were cats... So I hope to meet them next time!)

Wow if you love books this is the place. They have seems like tens of thousands of books on all subjects. The two ladies at the counter were super friendly and the Lady organizing the books was very friendly as well. We ended up buying a lot more books than we thought because the selection was so outstanding.

It's difficult to leave the store once you enter because of the huge amount of books. Anything you may be interested in knowing or being swept away in great fiction, it's there, somewhere. Linda is a pleasant, knowledgeable woman who will guide you to your areas of interest or you can browse around yourself. Prices are reasonable and you can even earn book credits by bringing in your used books.

The best book store if your a bibliophile. One of the best stores in highlands county a true treasure can fine just about any title you want great prices store credit on trade ins. Highlands county would not be as good without Linda's.

My son and I just love going to Linda's. She almost always has what we are looking for and pricing is amazing. We will continue to go back! Plus they have the friendliest little furry shop keeper :)

Linda is friendly, lots of neat books - found a Carl Sagan book & an Issac Asimov - plenty of fiction there if that's your thing! Fair prices, and the cutest bookstore kitty who asked for belly rubs 😍 had a great time there, would go back.

What a great place! You can find absolutely any book your heart desires. Linda is wonderful! Pleasant, friendly and super helpful. Highly recommend this place. I know I love it 🥰
