Econo Lodge Metro

This is not your typical Econo Lodge. The staff are very friendly and helpful, the rooms are clean and as a solo traveling female, I felt safe on the premises. This hotel is perfect if you're just looking for a clean and safe place to stay that's affordable. Room service came in every day which is becoming more rare at hotels and I found no stains or bugs on sheets, towels or any surfaces.

If I had to be critical, the breakfast was okayish. There was a good variety but it wasn't the best tasting food and the bed was a little uncomfortable for me but that could just be because I prefer softer beds.

Overall I would stay here again.

This hotel definitely was way above our expectations, all was clean, the breakfast had more than expected, the location is perfect, the price is better than most other places in Washington Metro Area, the personnel very friendly, the beds comfortable, the bathroom very good, the service complete, the area around is safe. I am already missing the place. Definitely this place worth every single penny. 100% recommended.

Great hotel and even better location! Its walking distance to the metro. Orange and silver lines. The hotel has maps to get to the station and of the different lines. The location felt safe and I would definitely return. The breakfast was good, eggs, sausage and pancakes both weekend days. The eating area was small but we always found space and it seems like others did too. The hotel did NOT have an elevator which could have been an issue for someone in a wheelchair getting downstairs for breakfast. The lobby was on floor two which was a ground floor, and had rooms to accommodate wheelchairs. We were on the 3rd floor but it was only one set of stairs due to lobby on 2nd floor. We didn't mind the steps. The rooms and stairs were all interior and not outside like most hotels/motels without elevators, this also helped with feeling safe. The rooms themselves were recently updated with new floors and new shower/tubs. This was the cleanest shower I have seen at a hotel in a long time the shower and toilet were closed off by a door and the sink was outside the door. The sink area was very small and could be difficult with multiple people. For my husband and I it was fine. There was also a large mirror on another wall which was better for applying makeup and checking outfits. The staff was great everywhere and so nice. The font desk employee was helpful and efficient and the housekeeping lady was accommodating when we asked for more towels. The parking was tight in some places but it seemed to be completely fine overall. We always found a good space. We will definitely be back next time we want to visit DC!

We booked two family rooms for 8 people. Both rooms were very clean and quiet. They are a little cramped and there is no microwave in the room, but there is a nice fridge. Downstairs there is a breakfast room where you have everything you need to prepare your own food. Also the free breakfast is very filling.

We had a very good stay at Econo Lodge Metro - Cozy rooms with good AC, clean and neat, with laundry facility and close to the public transport. Special thanks to Mr. Paresh for super friendly welcoming upon arrival in the middle of the night and Mrs. V Patel for her generosity and kindness. When in Washington DC next, i will be surely staying there again.

I had an amazing stay here! You get quite a lot for the price, rooms are well put together, and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The rooms are quite soundproof and the beds are very nice. Location is excellent. It’s very close to the metro, a CVS, and to some excellent restaurants. The continental breakfast was very good and I was so thankful for the free coffee anytime you wanted! The one thing I would note is that there are limited outlets, so if you are planning on staying I would bring an extension cable or longer charging cords. Loved my stay here and I will definitely book a room again!

Excellent hotel. We needed a less expensive near Ronald Reagan Airport and downtown Washington DC for our last 4 days of vacation. 22 minute easy drive from both. Clean, good bed, nice pillows. Breakfast is the usual hotel hot type. Staff very helpful and pleasant. I left a pair of shoes by garbage bin in room because I wore them out. Within 3 hours they telephoned me to ask if I had forgotten them. That was a first for any hotel. I've been in 13 countries in last 10 years and would stay here again.

Loved our room. I accidentally deleted the photos. But we had a room with a little kitchen, with dinning table and pullout bed. It was very roomy for us and our boys. The only downside is at night they lock the doors so you’ll have to knock to get their attention. We can understand why.

Was looking for a place that would allow me to get by car-free during vacation, and this place worked out great. Nearest Metro station is a 10-minute walk along a trail that connects directly to the parking lot, there's a bike rental kiosk right across the street, and the neighborhood is easy to get around on foot. Besides that, staff were friendly and helpful, and rooms were comfortable and decently equipped.
Only real "complaint" is that the pillows were a little too firm for my liking, and the breakfast selection is kinda bare (it's free though, so can't complain), but otherwise, it's a great value if you book early.

I stayed here for almost 3 weeks when my mom was in the hospital and they were very good to me. The manager, Hailey, was so accommodating as I had to keep renewing my reservation, unsure how long I would be there. They kept me in the same room, they made sure I had plenty of towels and soap and every morning there was hot coffee and a bagel. I felt very safe and welcomed there as I dealt with my family drama. Thank you, Hailey, and your amazing staff!

Great value. Nothing fancy but perfect for a budget vacation. It is well maintained with 80s decor. The front desk staff were so nice and helpful. You can walk to the Metro station and get into DC easily in around 40 minutes, and it is also close to many stores and restaurants. The free breakfast is just granola bars, cereal and fruit due to the pandemic but something is better than nothing. We loved our stay here and would come here again.

I have a terrific stay here, the staff is very kind and very professional. The rooms are very nice and clean, and they give u a good amount of towels and washcloths. The front desk lady had a beautiful smile to great me and was very accommodating. I love this hotel. I will stay there again. I highly recommend them.

Good location for getting around the area. Can have food delivered to room or run out to a near by local restaurant. The receptionist is really nice and helpful. Clean room and AC works well. The carpets are a bit dated. The free continental breakfast is decent, with eggs, sausage, pancakes, cereal and choice of juices and coffees.

This was one of the nicest Econo Lodge we have ever stayed in, starting with the front desk personnel, who was extra nice and friendly. The room was clean, comfortable, and had all the amenities we needed. The breakfast was very good for a hotel, and the lady who was the server, really kept the area clean and well stocked. It was not to far from washington DC. I will come back some day.

The front desk staff is so kind and the room is clean. Free parking and free breakfast was good for me. Location is easy to access metro and close to Washington DC.

The only limitations of our visit were smallish rooms and bathrooms, and an older air conditioning unit that had a mind of its own. But overall this more than meets expectations because...it's an Econo Lodge and was value priced. The staff were helpful and professional, the breakfast was better than we often see at this price level, and everything was clean. The location is awesome for our purpose which was a quick, easy walk to the nearest train station into the District. Best-class of value, this is definitely on my list for a repeat stay.

Stayed here for about a week and everything was perfect. Nothing in particular necessarily knocked it out of the park, but every detail was spot on — room was very clean, staff were great, location and parking were convenient, breakfast was good, bed was comfy, everything in the room worked well, lots of convenient electrical outlets, and my keycard always worked even though I kept extending my stay day-by-day. Even the shampoo was actually better than the shampoo I’d brought with me. Just a really nice quiet place to sleep and work.
