Hilton Garden Inn Suffolk Riverfront

I wasn't too sure after reading the mixed reviews. Before booking,I was able to a live person that gave me confidence in booking here. Price was reasonable. The hotel is really nice. Rooms were clean, smaller than I thought. The location was prefect. My family and I will stay again.

I had a pleasant two-night stay at the Hilton Garden Inn. The accommodations were satisfactory and provided the expected amenities. The on-site restaurant offered a variety of delectable options. I highly recommend the barbecue bacon burger and the Buffalo wings. Fortunately, there was a concert taking place by the riverfront during my stay, which I thoroughly enjoyed. Overall, I had a very positive experience and would recommend this hotel to others.

Perfect location and has gorgeous views of the river. Being renovated while we were there so couldn't use the restaurant or lobby seating. Not the fault of the hotel, but could hear a crying baby and people/kids constantly slamming doors, running up and down the hallway, and talking loudly.

We had an excellent and enjoyable stay here at the hotel. The third and fourth floor was closed since they are renovating so the dated furniture and issues other people mention is being taken care of but our room was very clean. Being dated doesn’t mean it isn’t functional and clean. Hotels go through phases like this and can’t do it every year! Heather at the front desk was extremely helpful and kind, made us feel very welcome! Leslie at the bar was neat to talk to also. Made our experience at the bar good, even the locals frequent here! Room was very comfy and enjoyable!

Best staff ever. So accommodating. Wonderful customer service. A little drive from 95 but a very nice place to stay.

This hotel was the venue for our church anniversary. I can't say enough about how professional and accommodating the entire event staff was towards us. Everybody was just awesome!! The ballroom was beautiful. We chose the Church Dinner Buffet for our event and this was not the typical banquet food buffet. The food was AMAZINGLY GOOD!! I highly recommend Suffolk Hilton Garden Inn if you're searching for an exceptional place to host your next event!!

The hotel is renovating and giving away some of the old furnishings. My moving company picked up some of the stuff to give to needy families over in the Newport News, Hampton area. The general manager is a nice guy and very pleasant to deal with.

It's rare you'll find a very affordable, really nice hotel on the lake... but, you're n luck because this place is just that. The breakfast is really good as well, even tho, it's not complimentary. Also, that lake view is pretty nice. The receptionists is so pleasant and intelligent, I rock with her. There's some beautiful art work down the corridor.

Only complaint is that their are spiders around the window 🪟 😳 on the outside of course, not in the room. A power wash 💪🏾 💦 would do the trick.. Hopefully they fact that into the budget monthly.

The employees were all nice and helpful. Our room was spacious and nice and clean. My husband was impressed that there was a Kuerig machine for coffee. The views from the back were so awesome it made me wish I had paid the extra for the view. We ate the breakfast buffet and it was really awesome and the price of $12.99 was totally worth it. You could get fresh made omelets or eggs cooked to order. They had bacon, sausage, fried potatoes, fresh fruit, different types of bread, and other different types of items. I would definitely stay here again. The only problem was were there is an event going on there just isn't enough parking.

Great Hotel; just plan your trip around conventions as they ran out of towels this weekend.

I actually went to a hiring event (yes, I was successful) that was held in one of the conference centers. The building was very roomy and clean. The decor was up to date and in very good shape. Everyone I came in contact with was very nice. I'd try the rooms if I needed a place stay.

Very beautiful hotel. I did not stay at the hotel but attended a party there. The ballrooms are spacious and be can adjusted to accommodate any guest count. The lighting in the room is bright and can be adjusted. We had buffet and the food was seasoned and cooked very well. The staff are polite and professional. They are following current Covid guidelines. Recommended.

Let me start by saying the folks here are just all great everyone has bent over backwards to help us out and make sure that we're comfortable and we're satisfied with the facilities and our stay.
The restaurant or food area actually has a pretty good selection in the food is really quite tasty.

I should point out that this is a Hilton style facility and it is in key part of the South.

It's humid here and as a result you have a lot of interesting anomalies you wouldn't have in other parts of the country.

For example the doors tend to swell and so they don't always shut, the same thing goes for the furniture and cabinetry in the rooms. The facility is currently in the process of upgrading its telephone system so the push button phones in the rooms don't work right now. But most people have cell phones and there are USB chargers in the room.

In addition each room has a microwave a refrigerator and a nice Keurig coffee maker.

The gym looks like it's pretty well equipped for somebody traveling on the road in business. (Although full disclosure of the air conditioner in that room is not working as of this writing).

I went to the Hilton garden inn yesterday for an event and was very impressed with the hotel. The facility is beautiful. The large ballroom was lovely and the food service was very good. The food was delicious and the service was great. I could easily imagine a lovely wedding in that setting. I did not see any of the rooms, but if the lobby is any indication, this Hilton garden inn appears to be a step above others that I have been in. Grateful that Suffolk has such a lovely hotel.

I love this place!!!!!! The staff is so friendly. I literally stay here every other weekend just so I can depress. It's so relaxing. Especially the rooms with the riverfront view.

Room was clean and fresh smelling! Bed was comfortable, great work area, beautiful landscaping, gorgeous view. Staff was great starting with check in. I had dinner two out of the three nights in the dining room. The server was above expectations!! And the food was the best I’ve had while traveling. I enjoyed the Salmon with the rice and zucchini. I had that dish booth nights. It was so delicious I took pictures and sent to friends.Some replied they didn’t know about the wonderful ambiance and delicious food and service the Hilton has to offer. My friends will be visiting you soon!! What a wonderful place to stay. A home away from home while traveling. I will be traveling back soon and will request to book me at the Hilton Garden Inn . Located in Suffolk Va. I thank all of your staff for such a pleasant experience.

The hotel was nice and clean. The restaurant and staff there were AMAZING. I don't know how they were able to provide excellent service during the breakfast rush with a team of 4 or so, but they really delivered and they all need a raise. I think the restaurant was the best part of my stay. The hotel was pretty quiet and we slept well. I will stay again when visiting Suffolk.

Had amazing service here! This is the second year in a row I have made a trip to Suffolk and stayed. The staff was all very helpful and kind. Made me and all my guests feel welcomed. Marshall, the manager, really stood out. He helped us even carry our bags and deliver some things to our friends staying there as well. I will stay here again.

Stayed here last weekend for my anniversary and I was very satisfied. The room and the view were beautiful. The breakfast was delicious and affordable. (The western omelet was amazing!) The gentleman named Damien(?) was very professional and polite. The only thing a bit weird is that you can hear the mechanical whirring from the elevator from inside the room. But maybe that was because we were on the first floor. Other than that, the 2-night stay was perfect.
Note: I heard they do not send housekeeping to your room if you stay less than 5 days so be ready to take your own trash out lol.
