Stayed for 4 nights to visit DC. The room was very clean and new, though a bit small for a studio. The bed was very comfortable, but the sofa was OK and a bit old.

Breakfast was good compared to hotels of the same price. There were bagels, biscuit sandwiches, sausages, etc. The staff checked the food frequently to refill the plates.

Location was great, around a 20-minute drive to DC. My family loves this hotel and will definitely come back for our next DC visit.

No complaints here. The complimentary driver was a huge help during my trip. He took me anywhere I needed to go and made my experience at the hotel 10x better. Highly recommend

We can say the hotel is good. Breakfast is nice and there was enough space and free tables.

The fridge is really loud.

But it is really funny not to provide a normal electrical kettle .
And frying pan was awful. As I have a lot of restrictions in my diet, I decided to cook a little. You can not really even fry eggs or steak. I am not asking for a nice and expensive one. It still can be a regular frying pan, rather than something that would look like it, but be useless.

Hands down best bang for your buck in the area.

I have stayed in various hotels and residence inn sites in NoVa throughout the years. I don't know what's the secret sauce here but the excellence in service is noticeable. From the attentive front desk to cleaning staff that keeps the interior impeccable, the warm breakfast with generous menu and staff who replenishes them quickly. They even got a to-go box! I also want to highlight Dale the chaffeur that drives residents to destinations within 3 miles. He gives so many local insights on places to eat, shop, more strategic metro stop to get picked up from that skipped traffic. He helped clean the tables, emptied the trash, and greeted the residents in the breakfast area in the morning. Just a wholesome person and absolute asset to the hotel team. The rooms are great and spacious with kitchenette to cook. Strategic location that allows you easy access to DC. If I have to nitpick that would be the parking fee. But at $8, it's still cheaper than all other hotels. I can't recommend Residence Inn Tyson enough. I will be staying here every time Im in Nova

We had a good stay here for the first time. Clean and nice accommodations. It's not that far to DC for the museums and zoo either.

Room was better than I expected. I really like the layout with a couch and good space to work. And the shuttle bus service was very convenient with a friendly and helpful driver!

An awesome location with ultimate clean room, hotel and other facilities. Free breakfast and coffee ready every morning until 11 am. I was very impressed with the quality of service at this Marriott and it actually grew on me as I stayed each day. I’ve never been so happy with a hotel as much as this place. It’s my next one and only stay place in Northern Virginia/ DC area!

I'm leaving the hotel today after staying for 5 days on a business trip and all I can say its that it has been a great experience.

The breakfast was good, the rooms were big and clean, the staff was friendly and Dale the free shuttle bus driver was easily one of the highlights of the whole thing by taking us everywhere, giving us nice recommendations on where to go after work and overall being the nicest company.

We got stranded in the area after United diverted our flight here due to a mechanical issue. Their hotel booking systems were down, so we had to just start randomly calling hotels around Dulles at 2am. Most places either didn't answer or didn't have any rooms. Eric at the Residence Inn in Tysons answered and hooked us up. He was super kind, made great restaurant recommendations, and really helped us out a couple of times while we were figuring out how to get our trip back on track.

If you're in the area and looking for a place that's close to the airport as well as all the classic spots in DC, then this is a great choice. The room was quiet, air conditioned, and had a nice kitchen. Also, the staff were all friendly and helpful. Especially Eric. He deserves a bonus and a raise!

Friendly staff and clean hotel. The hotel shuttle driver, Dale, is friendly and courteous! He made using the shuttle easy.

PROs:
- smart tv with streaming services: Netflix, YouTube, crackle and Amazon prime
- clean rooms
- washer and dryer is app based so no need for coins
-decent continental breakfast (basic but decent quality)
-friendly staff

Cons:
- slow elevator
- not very walkable to many locations or restaurants
- they seemed hesitant to hand out complimentary water bottles to platinum members

It’s a simple hotel but overall clean and friendly. I would recommend this property to friends or family.

Nice room, comfortable bed, friendly staff - Dale the shuttle driver in particular was fantastic, the rides to and from my office were a definite highlight of the day. Breakfast was also great, both in variety and quality. My singular complaint is that the chairs in the room weren't great - they had very short backs, so no support, which wasn't great for prolonged sitting. Overall though, very nice hotel, and I'll likely be staying here again the next time I'm in town on business.

Any time I have to come to Virginia for work my company puts me up here. Nice rooms, good breakfast, never had a bad experience here. The shuttle driver, Dale, is particularly helpful and friendly

Conveniently located, the Residence Inn by Marriott Tysons delivers on expectations. My only issue was that they wanted to charge $8 for a 1.25 ounce bag of beef jerky. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and very functional. It’s perfect as a shorter-term residence hotel. My room was quiet and everything worked. Good breakfast in the morning and friendly and helpful staff. Will definitely stay here again when I’m next in the area.

The room was very welcoming and accommodating. Our only problem is the pull-out sofa bed was very uncomfortable.
But great staff, friendly and helpful. Great breakfast options and large dining area!
Great amenities in the room like dishes, silverware, pots and pans & a dishwasher.

Spent 3 months here on business. Had a really good experience overall with the staff and services, they made sure my stay was comfortable and I had everything I needed. Sean and Fatma at the desk were very polite and considerate, and Dale (the shuttle driver) was very friendly and I enjoyed interacting with him through my stay.

Stayed for 6 weeks while we worked. Over all good experience. Our car was down a day and they have a very sweet man named Dale who drove us to work so we did not have to Uber!! He was very polite was ready as soon as I called him. Offered to pick us back up. We talked sports and he even brought us our favorite team key chains the next day!! Super sweet. Definitely recommend using him instead of Uber!!

All hotels should have a Dale and Oksana. Why? Because these are the most outstanding people working in a hotel I ever came across, bending themselves backwards to help. In order to have such amazing people I assume the management really cares about this hotel and it's guests (which is the positive opposite of a hotel we stayed in Corpus Christi only a few weeks ago for example).

1. the room reserved for us was facing the busy road and the swimming pool and we asked to be moved at the back on the top floor: room 523 was the third from the end of the hallway meaning we hardly could hear any noise from the rather quiet Howard road or from the car park located at the back of the hotel - we saw a buzzard hovering around and squirrels running around
2. breakfast is included and replenished several times: we had the misfortune to be there just before the Easter and it was busy - annoyingly, kids screaming and parents not educating them to respect people who might have vertigo with noises producing dizziness for example, an old woman just sitting in the busy breakfast area waiting for her relative to arrive and then shouting in their language while all the tables were taken and people were waiting to sit - no wonder many were simply putting mountain of food on their plates going to their room to eat!!!
3. My sleep was unfortunately disturbed every single night by the noisy fridge and people slamming their doors or talking loud on the floor with kids screaming. Even the house keeping was talking loud and I had to ask them to stop shouting as my other half was trying to rest after feeling poorly
4. One night a couple arrived late right next door and started slamming everything in their room: proof the rooms are not that sound proof - thank God they left the next day or they learned to be quieter!!!
5. The bathroom had only a shower - I would have liked to sit in a bath and massage my feet after long days walking around in Washington visiting my favourite museums etc Also the air con in the bathroom was very loud and was covering even the TV sound: since it could not be switched off we had to close the bathroom door completely.
6. The kitchen in the room has anything you need in order to live comfortable: microwave, cooker, proper plates and utensils besides fridge with freezer if you like having ice cream all the time like us. The TV has lots of channels if you like variety too.

I was about to give this hotel lower marks based on the above, but the kindness of Dale and Oksana was truly remarkable. Dale took us daily to/from the hotel to the nearby underground station on the Silver line (which is a perfectly safe as we were enquiring even before reaching the hotel). There are lots of restaurants/shops in the area and we purchased our juices/fruits etc we like having all the time by driving to the nearby Safeway and Lidl (they have some items just like in the UK and the rest of Europe) so they were great finds!!!
