Comfort Inn Ballston

I run a field trip with a smaller group of students and we have stayed at this location three years in a row. The staff is SO accommodating with everything from asking what breakfast choices our kids would like to providing rides for our bus driver to and from the parking area. The rooms are spacious and clean! The public area near the lobby is great for pizza nights with our kids and quick meetings before we hit the city. The location? A gem! You can literally exit the hotel and be on Interstate 66 in a few hundred feet! Highly recommended this hotel! Oh, the wifi is cool, too!

Stayed here a week while visiting family. Very happy with the cleanliness of our room. The hotel was always quiet. Loved being able to walk to the Ballston Metro station (1/2 mile). They also have a shuttle to and from the Metro station. A nice variety of restaurants within 1/2 mile walking. The hot breakfast was nice and the usual variety of offerings. The front desk staff and the shuttle driver were always friendly and helpful. WiFi was good. We'll definitely stay here next spring when we visit family again.

When visiting Washington DC, the Comfort Inn Ballston is a great stay for a great price. The rooms are comfortable and clean, a continental breakfast is provided, and it offers a convenient location, only 15 minutes from the heart of DC. I’ve stayed here multiple times while chaperoning a large group of 8th graders. Staff is always friendly and accommodating, which is why we keep coming back!

We took up several rooms at the hotel. The location was great. Rooms were comfortable. The staff was helpful. I definitely would stay there again.

"Photos shown as Double bed room". Good location close to major highway Esp if you are aiming for Washington DC travel. Free breakfast included - Relatively good value with decent acceptable quality even they are kinda dated looks similar to what it was 10yrs old 😂. Will definitely go back again.

I really enjoyed my stay here. Most front desk staff im used to can be rude and disengaged. Not here. Staff are super friendly and helpful.

Hotel room was nice but as said in other reviews, the rooms are thin. Could hear other rooms shutting their doors and some noise very infrequently from other rooms. This didn't bother me at all. May be an issue if a room of kids is beside you. My toilet had a very loud flush and it felt like it was loud enough to be heard from three rooms over..

They have a gym and complimentary breakfast. Breakfast was good and the gym wasn't bad but only has one strength machine which is a bit broken with three cardio machines but definitely not the worst gym I've seen in a hotel. Considering this is a 2 star gym I was happy with this as I can't ask for more based on what I paid

There is a very nice shuttle that takes you from the station to the hotel and from the hotel to the station. Only comes on the top of the hour so often I walked instead. Metro station is only 10 min walk away which makes this a really good location. The area is nice, quiet and safe so I didn't mind. Lots of nice restaurants and places about a 10 min walk away.

Clean rooms and breakfast area. Room has microwave and fridge. Free parking. Good location, was able to get to multiple places around DC quickly and for less than $15 Uber/Lyft

What a pleasant surprise! The room is incredibly spacious, and the bed is super comfortable and large. The mattress firmness is perfect for me, and I had a very comfortable sleep. The thoughtful design on the table and bedside cabinet includes multiple USB ports, which deserves a perfect score for this detail. The room is cleaned daily and is very clean and hygienic.
The complimentary continental breakfast is my favorite. The fried eggs are served in different styles every day, and they offer two different flavors of waffles, two types of coffee, and four different fruit juices. It's fantastic. The hotel's free parking lot is also excellent, and they provided a parking pass during check-in. I personally witnessed a car without a parking pass being towed overnight, so the security is commendable.

The hotel has additional facilities such as a car rental service, and they also offer shuttle service to Ronald Reagan Airport. I drove a 12-seater Ford van, and the parking spaces were spacious enough. The hotel is located at the entrance of Highway 66, in the heart of Arlington, with convenient transportation but still very quiet, without any noise. If you're traveling to Washington, D.C., staying here and driving to famous attractions like the National Mall only takes about fifteen minutes.

We were very happy with our choice of the Comfort Inn when we visited Washington DC. It was a half mile walk to the Metro which was fine. They offer a free shuttle as well. Parking was free! The room was clean, large and quiet and the housekeeping service was impeccable. Who still cleans and makes up your room every day? The only reason for 4 stars was that the bathroom was very dated. Hard to turn on the water in the shower and dark. The breakfast is adequate. A great value.

Booked a block of rooms for a wedding - ALL the guests were extremely happy. The manager was way easier to book a block of rooms with than any of the other hotels in the area I tried, and the price could not be beat. Every staff member that I had contact with was excellent, and I would DEFINITELY recommend this hotel to anyone.

This hotel is in the safest town around DC. Staff made fun of us for asking questions and were very irritated when someone made a mistake. Very unfriendly

The rooms were very clean. The staff was extremely nice and helpful. The continental breakfast was really good. They offer hot food and cold food for breakfast. The dining area was clean and organized. I would definitely stay here again.

Had to attend weekend classes at American University. Thank you for having free parking, great rates, breakfast, and convenient location. I will definitely book and stay here again. It also has a rental car company on site.

Stayed here for a night in 2022 and 2023. Both times were great stays! The staff was friendly, the breakfast was well stocked, and the location was great. It is only a short walk to the metro station if you want to go into DC. Will likely stay here again for my next trip to Washington DC.

Had a great stay here! As others have stated yes it's an older hotel with a very dated design but don't let that keep you away! Very clean and nice rooms and everything is well kept. The staff here were very friendly and the check-in and check-out process was easy. The rooms are a good size (I stayed in a 2 bed room) and include a microwave which is rare in hotels I've stayed at. The beds and pillows were comfortable and I had good night rests. My only complaint was that the AC/Heating unit had a very bad smell while it was on which meant I had to keep it off so I could breathe properly, but they probably just need some cleaning of the filters. Overall I had a great stay and I definitely recommend booking your stay here if you need to travel to DC like I did, it's a very quick 15-20 minute drive. Which reminds me, there's also ample free parking here!

Just stayed here May of 2023....We chose this location because it would be easy to take the subway into Washington DC but then we realized the average lyft was $10 to $15 so we chose that route. The hotel itself was clean and the room was spacious. Staff were friendly and helpful. Parking was free and breakfast was the typical continental style where you can make yourself a hot waffle. 24 hour coffee station with tea and hot chocolate is an added bonus. Overall I gave it five stars because I could not find one single reason not to.
