Residence Inn by Marriott Fairfax Merrifield

This is a wonderful property to bring your family. Super friendly staff from the front desk to housekeeping and maintenance! The entire place is super clean and provides a home away from home. My family especially enjoyed the breakfast and outdoor pool. A special shoutout to Eiman because she helped my family make things easier to manage our cars while we waited to move into our new house. We are thankful to be treated like family by the staff at this property! We will definitely stay here again!

The management and staff at this hotel are AMAZING! Seriously, the best customer service I've encountered at a hotel. They are friendly, responsive, and so helpful. Everyone from management, housekeeping, breakfast, maintenence, pool and front desk were great.

The rooms are fairly outdated but clean.

Location is excellent, right next door to Aldi, CVS and yummy restaurants.

Like any residence inn this is a vital home away from home, rooms complete with small kitchens, fridges, ice, everything you would need to feel comfortable. A Relaxing Stay with Delicious Breakfast at Residence Inn

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Residence Inn, and I must say, it exceeded my expectations in every way. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm smiles and excellent service.

One of the highlights of my stay was the hot breakfast buffet. The selection was extensive, offering everything from fluffy frittatas to hearty oatmeal that tasted like it was made with care, not the instant stuff you often find at hotels. The freshness of the food was evident, and each bite was a delight. The coffee was also worth mentioning – it was rich and flavorful, the perfect pick-me-up to start the day.

The room itself was immaculate, with a cozy decor and thoughtful amenities. The kitchen area was well-equipped, making it easy to prepare a quick snack or meal if needed. The desk area was spacious and perfect for catching up on some work, with a nice view to boot.

What impressed me the most was the tranquility of the surroundings. Despite being in a bustling area, the room was surprisingly quiet, allowing for a peaceful night's sleep.

Overall, my stay at the Residence Inn was nothing short of fantastic. From the delicious breakfast to the clean and comfortable room, it was the perfect combination of comfort and convenience. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable stay.

I am a local restaurant manager. I stoped in to drop off some menus and out of all the hotels I visited, both the front desk and the manager, Stephan were the friendliest and inviting.

My husband & I stayed at this hotel for 3 weeks and we loved it! It's one of the best Residence Inns we have been to. Everything was very clean, breakfast was wonderful, amenities were very nice, & the staff was top notch. The housekeepers, breakfast staff, & front desk had wonderful customer service & would refer to us by name after a little while.

Highly recomend if you're looking for a hotel, especially an extended stay in the area!

I had a wonderful experience booking on the phone with Leila! She is a great listener and helped me book a room for family in town that fit their needs for their stay. Other hotels in the area had me on hold for 30+ minutes, but Leila answered the phone right away and was a tremendous collaborator in helping me plan and book. 10/10 recommend. Thanks, Leila!!!

This hotel was a gem. Very close to DC so it was a short drive to go to the museums. Plenty of food options directly across the street. Room was spacious and clean, the staff was great. My only recommendation is to offer non-pork meat options for breakfast. I don’t eat pork so i was limited on what i could actually eat for breakfast.

Clean, Nice small Hotel. "Lalah" the receptionist was very kind, informative on location, where to eat! Very accommodating. Close to BMW dealer...just a fyi....Quiche was really good!!!

Location: Right next to 495, you could not have asked for a better location.

At first they were going to put us in a room on the 3rd floor when I requested a 1st floor room, so instead of one room with double beds the host graciously put us in a 2 bedroom on the 1st floor at no extra cost. While it was still a long walk for someone with mobility issues he was happy! It was a nice quiet night. Both of the hosts and all staff we encountered were pleasant, the room and lobby were clean. We had a little trouble finding the road to the hotel and missed it the first time but all is well that ends well!

Staff at this hotel are exceptionally kind and welcoming. I arrived with my service dog and family after working all afternoon. They welcomed both me and my service dog with smiles and even automatically fished out a luggage cart to give me before I walked back to the car to unload everything. I have never had anyone do that before and it’s little touches like that which make all the difference when checking into a hotel while exhausted. Checkout staff was equally kind, and they enjoyed a few moments of lighthearted conversation and laughter with me as they printed off the receipt I needed to submit for work.

Very short walk (20 yards) to a great little strip mall with a grocery store, CVS, and a number of restaurants. My new go-to hotel when in Falls Church

Tried one of their "Pure" rooms as my sinus allergies have been bothering me and I awoken completely refreshed and my sinuses were completely unblocked so that air purification unit worked extremely well. The ENTIRE hotel staff was exceptionally friendly, professional and helpful. The complementary breakfast has every option you'd need/want and the coffee was great! The only thing that would improve my stay would be to stay longer! Would definitely come again!!

I stay here often for work and it’s truly been my home away from home.

Customer service at the front desk is Excellent! Haley is always welcoming and nice. Today she even helped me with ordering room service.

Food: I am a picky eater but my meal was delicious , fresh and hot.

Rooms: Spacious, Clean and I always get a good night sleep. Beds and pillows are comfortable.

The staff was excellent. My family rented 3 rooms for 4 nights. We used the pool, their grill and had kids all over the place. The front desk staff was very polite and courteous. We enjoyed a complementary full breakfast every day. Eggs, breakfast meats, waffles, fresh fruits and vegetables, yogurt, oatmeal and more. Great variety and healthy options. Heidi was an employee in charge of restocking the buffet and cleaning the tables. She was amazing. So fast, polite and hard worker. Very smiley despite how busy she was. We also met Miguel who helped us so many times. Very polite and ready to help without hesitation. I highly recommend this hotel and we will definitely think of them when we return to visit our family. Thanks for everything!

Nice clean rooms on the large side. We've been here a few times, and last time we had a corner space that was divided into two rooms so that wasn't bigger but it was nice. Decor is fine, funny how terrazzo counters are in again! Kitchen area equipped but items were missing. Breakfast is limited but good. Location is only convenient if you're driving, it's walkable to a few not-so-great restaurants, Aldi and a drugstore. Lots more in the Mosaic District but that's too long a walk for some. Metro not too far, but not really walkable either.

This hotel was close to Inova Fairfax hospital.I always stay at a Marriott whenever I can.We had a family member who was suddenly very ill.I needed several rooms for family members traveling for other states.The staff was more than kind.The rooms are very clean. The shuttle provided to the hospital was just a phone call away, and was such a stress reliever.There were a lot of reservation changes, added days, and the staff was so adaptable.
They even used a shuttle bus with more steps for our elderly family member.The manager was so helpful, I do believe his name was Stefan. When a member of our party left something in the shuttle, he made sure to get it to him.I dropped several cards from my wallet and housekeeping returned them to me.I cannot say enough about our stay here.

This was a very nice residence hotel. It was clean, the rooms were spacious and looked to be recently renovated. The. Common area had a ball court, pool, hot tub, grill and well kept gardens.

The buildings were secure, requiring your room key card to get in.

The breakfast area was also clean and the staff were making sure that it stayed that way. They were collecting used dishes and utensils regularly and cleaning tables as soon as they were vacated.

Breakfast items were well stocked the whole 3 hours that it was available.

Staff were all friendly. I've stayed in many hotels, some costing way more that here but this place was worth every penny. Highly recommended!
