It was handy for us as we were there for a funeral. The building is old but they did a pretty good job of modernizing it. Nothing fancy but very comfortable.

I've stayed at many DoD lodging facilities across the country and this one, without a doubt, is the best. Great location with a staff that is friendly, professional, and responsive to guest requests. The breakfast is top-notch, with a staff to match. Highly recommend staying at this property.

First time staying here and plan to return. Very friendly front desk staff. Excellent room far beyond my expectations. Free morning breakfast and evening social hour (with food!). Limited parking. Very quiet.

Tucked away a short distance behind the Patton Club (formerly the Officers' Club), Wainwright Hall is a vintage building that offers very nice suites and is owned and operated by IHG (most recognized for its ownership of the Holiday Inn chain). Because it is located on the Joint Base Myer Henderson, access might be difficult for those lacking a DoD i.d. card. Besides the nice suites, this hotel offers a hot breakfast every morning and a light meal on Wednesday evenings.

Overall, an excellent experience. The staff is super friendly and helpful. Breakfast is delicious. Rooms are spacious, and you can get a free shuttle ride to the nearest metro station (Rosslyn). Also, the location is convenient, within walking distance to the PX, Commissary, and the Gym!

What was not to love about this hotel the people were great. The breakfast was wonderful and just a beautiful and restful stay. Awesome attractions close by. This is definitely a stay when coming to Washington DC to see the sites.

My husband and I needed a room on very short notice. We needed something for the night at 8 PM when we realized we could not use our blowup mattress in our new apartment. We were able to get a pet friendly room last minute. It was spacious, very clean and updated. Beautiful room with fridge and microwave. We were very comfortable. Breakfast was awesome. A hot breakfast with cook to order options all complimentary. Yes it's in the basement or bottom floor but very well done. Great coffee also. We would definitely stay here again. Fir an older facility, it is VERY nice. I am sure more notice is usually needed but we were very lucky and thankful.

Accommodations were great. Rooms are a bit dated but that was the expectation. The staff is amazing! From the moment we checked in we were treated like special guests. We look forward to breakfast every morning. We again were treated like family. The Fort is positioned within easy distance to many attractions as well as the Metro. Patricia was especially fun in the evenings when we returned from our day. We always had hot coffee and cookies to greet us. Our experience just added icing to a very spectacular trip.

People still make the business and Maria knows how to make you feel special. She does it all -- from picking us up from the airport to checking is in a bit early to ensuring all our needs were met. The rooms and location might dictate you feel a bit intimidated about staying here, but the reality is the opposite. It's friendly, decorated, historic, welcoming, and the free morning made to order breakfasts are fantastic.

While planning a visit to Arlington National Cemetery, I saw the great reviews for the IHG Army Hotel in Wainwright Hall. We stayed two nights and found the reviews to be accurate. The room was very clean. I don't give that compliment lightly, the housekeeping staff deserves credit for doing such a great job. Our room had everything we needed including the convenience of a mini fridge and microwave in a little kitchenette area. The complimentary breakfast included made to order items which was a nice bonus. The location is perfect for visiting Arlington. With military ID, you can use the gate by the Old Post Chapel to access the cemetery. We visited my father's grave and then walked to the metro station to tour more of Washington. As stated in other reviews, food options are limited unless you get in your car and leave the base. That was not a problem though as restaurants are within a short drive. The base is nice to walk around and the hotel is surrounded by historic officer's quarters with a view of the Washington monument. A great place to stay!

Always a delete to stay at an old world Army guest quarters. Takes me back to my brat days traveling with my Dad between assignments. Very spacious suites, complimentary breakfast and every effort taken to keep guests safe in pandemic times

Perfect place to stay for a visit to our Capitol. The breakfast was made by a wonderful man who did an excellent job. The front desk person in the evening was very unpleasant. Great location.

Very convenient to Arlington National Cemetary where I find myself attending the funerals of friends. Wainwright Hall is an old building that's been completely renovated. The room is actually a suite with a kitchenette and sitting room. Plenty of closet space for longer stays. I'll be vack.

The rooms are nice and big with a small kitchen area (mini fridge, sink, and microwave) and fold-out couch. Staff is super helpful and friendly. Really easy to get into DC.
