The staff is responsive, professional, and welcoming. I don't think I once passed the front desk without a kind greeting.
Great kitchen in the room.
Beds / bath were clean 👌 as they should be. Common areas (lobby, dining, outdoor patio) are well designed and useful.

Not gonna lie, this was a really nice hotel. My employer put me up here and I enjoyed it quite a bit. The rooms were really spacious and well-appointed. I had plenty of room to both relax, get work done, eat, everything. The windows that wrapped around the whole room was a beautiful touch as well. You could see the Capitol building and the Washington Monument from the room. It was right next to a park and by plenty of restuarants.

This hotel is great for families who need extra space while traveling. From booking that day over the phone (thank you, Omar!) to checking in and having a clean, welcoming space to call home for our quick stay, everything was great. There was a miscommunication between the front desk staff when checking in and when checking out about our late check out time, but after pressing the issue the front desk staff was able to accommodate this. The hotel is a quick 8 min walk to the Ballston metro station, super quick into the DC area. Lots of restaurants near the hotel, plus a great playground for kids across the street. There is a handy parking garage below the hotel which for families like us worked well, though there are plenty of very close by parking options that are much cheaper. We will stay here again in our next trip to DC!

We’ve stayed in a lot of Marriott hotels over the years. This hotel is very clean, well-maintained, and updated. The pool area is a nice surprise- it had a lifeguard and beautiful sunlight streaming in. Location was perfect. We will be back.

Nice place. They have a life guard at the pool! But it's only open in the evening. The rooms were noting special, but good.

We absolutely loved our stay here! Everything was clean, the staff was so friendly and the breakfast was great! They were attentive to our needs and ensured we had a great stay. Thank you so much to both gentlemen at the front desk the night we checked in and morning we checked out!!

Very nice Residence Inn. Very well maintained and friendly staff. Location is great in the middle of many restaurant options. We brought our dog and there is a park right across the street.

We had to follow up with the front desk every time we wanted our room cleaned, but otherwise, this hotel is fantastic!

The breakfast staff and front desk were both genuinely wonderful!

Absolutely fantastic! Our suite was perfect. The staff (David) was so helpful, kind and so accommodating! A variety was offered for our breakfast needs. The nearby choices of eating was all within walking distance. I would stay there again in a second.

Rooms are spacious, clean. I didn’t notice the kitchen when I booked the room and it came as a nice surprise to have a full kitchen and separate room, couch, TV in both rooms. Location was perfect for where I needed to go during my stay. I easily booked my uber and there were always so many ubers available when I needed a ride.

This hotel should get more stars than it has right now. Perfect location and amazing employees.
A huge shout to JOHN the receptionist that makes our long stay here feel welcomed and comfortable. From day 1 itself, he makes it an effort to know our family by name and my kids loves saying hi to him everyday at the reception area. He makes sure that all our issues are taken care immediately too and even deliver the item himself thru our front door if needed. He has the real spirit of hospitality.
We will definitely request our company to place us in the same hotel if possible every-time we will be at the area.
Hotel amenities: the chairs and sofa in our room needs to be updated.
Hotel staff: they need to get a bonus for their ownership in keeping this place clean and comfortable. Everyone is so friendly during our one week stay here.

I had a quick stay at Residence Inn for just 1 night as I was taking a loved one to surgery the next morning. The hotel is about 5 minutes away from Virginia Hospital Center which was extremely convenient for our trip. The hotel breakfast had lots of options which was great. We also received a free room upgrade due to my Marriott elite status which was a fun surprise. Parking was $25 per night which is what I expected for being in the city but the garage was easy to get in and out of.

We flew into DCA on a Thursday morning, and navigated the DC Metro for the first time & entirely by ourselves- first rail & then bus.

We arrived at the hotel early, planning on just stowing our bags & changing as it was super hot & humid out, instead, we were greeted by John, who is phenomenal! He is an exceptional employee and remembered our names and called us by name our entire stay. That is rare! I work in customer service & he is top-notch. He checked us in early & upgraded us to a suite from the studio we had rented. He also located the only box fan in the building & had it delivered to our room.

Our room was comfortable and ready to go. Exactly as you would expect. I included pictures of our view, too. We stayed on the 2nd floor & road noise was minimal. We also were on a corner so we had no neighbors! Between us and the next room was the stairwell. Room 201.

A few things to note- dishes are minimal (but we didn't ask for any either), water pressure was hot & amazing, the bed was innerspring & we slept just fine. Three things that we had to adjust to were the wifi is slow, Verizon cell service is spotty, and the hotel is a LEED hotel so the AC kicks on when you enter as there is an occupancy center, but the room cools down quickly & it wasn't hot just a little warmer than we are used to (probably 74ish degrees. Overall, it was a great stay in our room.

Breakfast is above average for a hotel breakfast. Lots of choices- meats, eggs, bagels, cereal, fresh fruit, and more! Coffee & water are available during the day in the dining room as well. Before heading out each day we'd fill our water bottles with ice & stop and get cold water. Super nice touch! There is a market in the lobby to grab a few things.

The pool, gym, weight room, and laundry room is on floor 2. We did not check those out, but they appeared clean & there is a lifeguard on duty.

The hotel is clean & the staff is friendly and pleasant. The walk to the Ballston Metro Station is roughly 5 blocks. Tons of food options very close- Ballston Quarter is across the street & it's a mall. There is a Harris Teeter a block away to grab some groceries. Starbucks is on the same block as well. The neighborhood is clean & we felt extremely safe. We rode the metro to and from DC each day & we found it to be super clean, efficient, and easy to navigate for 2 people that have never ridden a subway. Download a few apps & do some reading ahead of time. We would definitely choose this hotel again if we were to return to the DC area.

This place was absolute heaven on earth after our experience at holiday Inn. We told the front desk clerk how we were poorly treated at the Holiday Inn and the extremely poor rooms were there. He listened to us and made sure we were treated right. The evening gentleman at the desk really made our stay worthwhile. The room was clean and amazing. I would really recommend this hotel to anyone.

It’s clean and nice overall.
Main room is good and you can turn the couch into a bed.
Bathroom is small and compact but clean. It provides a shower and toilet. It also provides soap in the shower.
Kitchen is small but nice, can make small snacks.
I have stayed at this hotel many times and it’s a good experience.

Great location in the Ballston part of Arlington. Coffee shops, restaurants, and a mall are all within a block or two. The Ballston Metro station is also within few blocks. The excellent staff was very friendly and helpful. Convenient parking underneath the hotel. My room was spacious and clean with a comfortable bed, walk-in shower with glass door, desk, table, couch, and kitchenette. To top it all off, they have Devils Backbone on draft in the lobby.

Update: the draft beer in the lobby is going away, but this is still a great place to stay with consistently friendly staff and clean, modern rooms in a great location.

As with most Residence Inns the staff was extremely friendly and professional. Very responsive and helpful as well.

The facilities we're well managed, nice, and kept clean. There were a few little things in the room that would be expected in a high throughput location such as this. (Garbage Disposal froze and surface light on microwave out). No show stoppers and it was a pleasant stay.

Due to a wind storm power was down outside the city. People flocked in and filled the hotel up without notice. The staff handled this unexpected volume very well and I was impressed.

I will definitely be back again if I need a place in the Arlington area.

I've stayed here several times and each time, it's been a pleasant experience. It's a newer building and clean and quiet throughout. You also can't beat the location because it's walkable to so many shops and restaurants. The only con, if any, is probably the the parking price, but this seems common through the neighborhood. Otherwise, it's typical of the Residence Inn Marriott brand.
