Beautiful campground with nicely kept vault toilets. Pretty chilly for tent camping the end of September/first part of October, but we made it through! Campground was almost deserted which made it super quiet, almost eerily so at times ha.
We saw lots of lovely fall foliage. And we found striped woolly bear caterpillars, and little grey squirrels and chipmunks that kept up the chattering and braving our campsite. We also picked up a ton of those little round, disc shaped prickly stickers from bushes on our campsite, but thankfully they were fairly easy to pick off.

Our family hiked to Goose Creek Falls from the trailhead at the end of the campground. We took our 9 year old, 5 year old and little dog. It took about 1.75 hrs on the way. It only took about 1 hr back as it was downhill. This was with lots of stops and going at what felt like a snail's pace sometimes, and pausing to let other groups pass us.
The waterfall itself was a little lackluster, but we knew this is the fall, so the water isn't as high as earlier in the year.
Still lovely and the whole camping trip was so much fun!

Loved this campground. Half of the sites are next to the river which is quite loud (but not too loud). We went in early September, mid-week and there were only a few other sites occupied.
The goose trail is a 2.8 mile hike, and if you want to keep hiking it goes out about 6 miles. On the 2.8 mile hike we were able to pick huckleberries which was exciting, and the end of the hike was a beautiful waterfall, although we were on a cliff, so obviously we did not get to play in it (sad face).
There are two public restrooms kept moderately clean. There is a pump water well as well as a pressurized water well - both with clean drinking water that tasted great.
The camp sites were quite large, especially considering that ours was a single. All sites have a fire pit with a grill/grate attached and picnic benches. There is also a community area with benches and a place to play horse shoes.
Very beautiful campground. Access was a few minutes on a dirt road, but a small area was a cliff that was quite steep, so drive slow and all will be fine.
Will return!

Beautiful campground with lots of tall trees and shade and a very loud babbling brook! That is goose creek which we thoroughly enjoyed. Note that the little over 2 Mile road in is on a steep hillside and most of it is one lane gravel so hard to pass on coming traffic especially if you're pulling a trailer

This camp ground was well kept. The river was always running and made sleeping a very enjoyable experience. There were not a lot of bugs and the hiking trails were a blast. Drinking water is easy to get and very delicious. We camped at site s11 and we are pretty sure we grabbed the best one. Easy river access and the other sites were just far enough to make us feel like we were alone. Loved it.

Thoroughly enjoyed this campground. Our site had a tiny stream running by. Campground is spread out enough to truly be camping without feeling like you're in a parking lot. Vault toilets (outhouses) were adequate. Metal campfire ring was in good condition with a grill for our sausages. And the evergreens smelled magnificent. It was a relief to get back into higher elevations!

It is beautiful, you can hear the river. Very nice hiking trail. It would have been very helpful if they had put a sign down at the entrance on the highway that they were closed. It's 2 miles to the campground only to find out that they are closed this year. Had we known, it would have saved us 375 dollars to repair a broken hitch from trying to turn around.

This is one of my favorite campgrounds in existence. I thought about rating it lower to keep others away... but it's a place worth sharing. A hike up to Goose Creek Falls is a must. We visit around Memorial day each year to pick morel mushrooms. Weeks later you can pick wild strawberries. In late July you can get huckleberries. I have been visiting this quiet campground for 33 years - if you come stay, please just be courteous to the fragile surrounding forest. Obey fire regulations and pick up after yourselves. Please help us to enjoy this great place for the foreseeable future. Boondocking camp only. No power or sewer. Pit toilets and spring drinking water available at a couple open areas. Enjoy!

We went here for my wife's family reunion. Easy to find and beautiful. Nice group area and there seemed to be some nice big spots for bigger trailers, although there are no hookups so be prepared for dry camping.

It is a great campground. Along side a swift flowing river. Great shade trees and campsites available for both camping and RV's. Dual campsites as well as single campsites. Great hiking trails and fishing a possibility. Found great edible mushrooms in the area. Not to far from McCall.

We had a great day. Despite the campground having a number of people, each spot felt very private and you couldn't really hear the noise from the other campers. It was lovely.

Easy to access nice forest service campground. The sites are in the trees and there is a pleasant stream flowing through. There were only about 4 others sites taken when we were here.

Beautiful busy campground. Cell service good with Verizon LTE. Came up here on a Wednesday only one spot available, so have a back up plan in case it is full.

The out house has nice Forest Service posters showing regional flora, fauna and fungi, hanging on the walls to occupy your attention as you lay an hot rod Henry.

A very nice campground with a cool breeze to cool off. Sound of a creek, song birds and chipmunks keeping the dog entertained.
