Hotel Indigo San Diego del Mar, an IHG Hotel

Excellent hotel, very efficient check in and check out process. Staff is very kind and accommodating. Clean spacious and quiet rooms. Loved all the amenities. Very close to the beautiful pacific coast. I really enjoyed my stay and would highly recommend this place to everyone!

Hotel Indigo, in Del Mar, California, is one of the most unique hotels my husband and I have ever stayed in. Our room, 403, had a full ocean view, accompanied by a complete poolside view. This room has a couch, desk area, mini fridge, and coffee maker. The breakfast in their restaurant had many varieties that were all delicious. We were there for 18 days and tried them all! Be sure to try the steak tacos for dinner, as they were excellent also! Jordan, the food and beverage manager, goes above and beyond. He is personable, professional, and warmly greeted us each day we had breakfast. Barbara, at the front desk, called us the day of arrival to let us know our room was available. She also greeted us each time we walked into the lobby. Daniel Miranda, who is the general manager of this hotel, runs a tight ship, which is extremely evident by the cleanliness of the rooms, and hotel grounds. Be sure to have breakfast, or dinner, at the outside patio seating area, which has a view of the ocean, and pool. We really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Indigo, and will definitely be back!

I attended a business meeting on the Hotel Indigo property. The staff were pleasant and helpful. The grounds were clean with nice views of the ocean. The conference room was well suited for our needs and all technical/wifi worked perfectly.

Hotel is well maintained and has a near-perfect location with a bakery/cafe a few blocks north and the beach/walking trails two blocks west! Everyone (staff) I encountered was friendly and helpful… I will definitely stay here again!

Came here Friday night for a local birthday party. Loved the lounge and live music. The bartender was very sweet and helpful. The check in staff was helpful. Loved the location and cute look of the hotel. The hummus was delicious and the other patrons were wonderful to be around. Wish I could have booked a massage or facial but had to leave early due to a local gym injury. I'll be back!

My 5 stars in each category are based on the value this hotel represents. Rooms are perfectly clean and redone but very basic. There is a refrigerator which is great. Very convenient location and the staff are super friendly.

The service was amazing and Benito at the front desk deserves special recognition. Hilarious and personable while still being professional. The whole check-in experience fun and memorable.

The food was outstanding. Kudos to chef Rudy for making the best food in Del Mar. Not an exaggeration.

Great people. Wonderful coastal vibe. And the view of the ocean is awesome. I get to watch the sun set and listen to the ocean waves.

I thought I wrote a review- anyway this is the loveliest hotel- small, well appointed with pool good bar and restaurant but what impressed me most were the design details! Just lovely and we had a view of the ocean too!

Del Mar, Ocean View & close to everything Del Mar. Staff are excellent and although close to tourist areas off the main road it feels secluded and private.

Hotel Indigo recently hosted about 45 of us for a college reunion. What an amazing 3-days we had. Incredible experience.

During the planning phase, we had looked at several 3- and 4- star hotels in the Del Mar Carmel Valley area and came across Hotel Indigo in Del Mar by the water. Location wise it was a clear winner but what really tipped the balance in its favor was the willingness of the sales staff, in particular Kathryn Houston, to work with us on a number of our needs. Price, flexibility in booking, block reservations, parking, extras that made the stay even better. As locals, my wife and I visited the place and the front desk staff, in particular Barbara, welcomed us and shared a lot of history (and geography) of the place.

When the crowd started arriving, the staff was super friendly- accommodated all our needs.

The rooms were also very well organized- fairly big for a beach front place, all amenities one would expect were there and the bed was very comfy. The views from the patio were also amazing. It is a short distance to powerhouse park and other beach front locations, plus downtown Del Mar beach!

Barbara and Benito went out of their way to take care of us and our dog. We have never experienced such excellent customer service. We will be back!

I knew the service here would be great before I arrived. Because the staff was super helpful on the phone to help me make a booking adjustment (from using a IHG certificate to cash payment) that is past change due date. He didn't have to but he went above and beyond to help me. I forgot his name, he was on a night shift around 8-9pm. Thank you!
When I arrived, all the staff were nice too and smooth check-in. The only small issue was it wasn't clear that the room card did not work on the other side of the room's door facing the pool.
The room we got was spacious with high ceiling. The breakfast burrito was good, even better when it's included for Diamond member.

We live in Southern California and wanted to escape the heat so we called several places and were pleased to speak with Barbara directly at this hotel. She was so helpful over the phone that it sold our decision where we were going for the weekend. Barbara has been there for over 20 years and gave us great direction and most importantly we went there because we have a husky and wanted to bring our dog with us. This hotel is very dog friendly and gives out treats to your pet. When you look at the images that I've attached you'll see a couple of patches of grass this is where your dog can go...it is very easy to get to right, in the front part of the hotel. We didn't take advantage of the pool because dogs cannot go in the pool but as you can see the pool looks gorgeous and it seemed as though the guests really enjoyed it. The view outstanding was great and sunsets beautiful... and for the price this was a great experience for us. Being a three-star hotel we definitely got five star service and all of the staff was very welcoming and helpful. We are walkers and walking into town was fun for us and watching the sunset locally was just beautiful. They have a Keurig in the room for coffee and the shower was lovely with plenty of pressure. We wish they had a microwave but now we know next time and we'll be better prepared.

Older motel-around-a-pool concepts reimagined and beautifully renovated to provide all I need and more from a hotel. Friendly, helpful staff and large rooms with massive bathrooms and ocean views. I’ve not used the bar/restaurant, but it looks nice too. Short walk to downtown and beach access.

We had an amazing stay, Room was very clean, very confi beds, very spacious for a fam of 4 or even 5. Bathrooms are super spacious as well and very clean. The hotel is nicely decorated and well kept. The ocean views are amazing and the staff was kind, friendly, and accommodating. If you’re in the area, this is a great hotel to stay at a reasonable price. Thank you Indigo Hotel.

Got a great deal on Priceline. Small room but super clean and updated. Comfortable bed, double shower head, mini fridge and keurig coffee maker and Tully’s coffee is provided . Room 302 has a partial ocean view .

It is a wood framed older, 3-star hotel, so, with that in mind, we really enjoy the rest of our stay. All staff were helpful and friendly. Food was good. Parking was easy, the place was generally quiet despite being near capacity. For a 2nd tier spot, where you can save a few bucks, this is hands down the best in the area.

Less than a 15 minute walk from the Powerhouse Park & Beach, clean spacious rooms that can get COLD (I'm a fan of air conditioning), an incredibly friendly staff and 2 pools if for some reason one of them isn't doing it for you. The horse history here is extremely interesting, and as our second time staying at an entirely different part of the year, I can securely say this is our spot while in Del Mar. $10 a night parking, but there is plenty of it. Overall you should book here if you're looking for updated rooms that feel special in a location close enough to everything you'd want to do in Del Mar.
