Excellent! What a great, knowledgeable team they have who can answer questions and guide customers to the best cameras, lenses and solutions. Sean, the owner, has more camera/lens knowledge of any individual I have ever known. I thought I knew a lot but not even a fraction of what Sean has learned over the years. Their second hand offerings are fantastic! One really should go inside to experience something old school called attention to customers!

I bought lens filters for my DSLR camera. I ended up buying a mix of new and used and was very pleased with the level of service I received. The staff were patient and knowledgeable. I got a great deal and exactly what I needed. What a great find!

I’m always hesitant going into camera shops because it’s always older white guys who thinks that a young woman doesn’t know what’s she’s talking about, and I usually get mansplained. Chris greeted me and my partner warmly and was very helpful throughout the entire process. I needed a camera last minute and he was able to get me what I needed within my price range, plus a little demo! I don’t live in the area but I wish I did because I would definitely come back! I’m a novice at best. I went in due to having spots in all my photos and assuming my 14 year old canon 40D needed the mirror cleaned. They informed me that what it needed was the sensor cleaned and they could do it while I waited. The price was fair, the service was quick and at no time did I feel slighted. If anything, just the opposite. The store is immaculate and well stocked.This is coming from someone where this isn’t my hobby or profession so take the well stocked observation with a grain of salt but I was impressed.

One of my many passions is supporting local enterprise. Unfortunately post modern American business models dictate that "online retailers" are the new prime. Meaning, that you get low prices at zero customer service. And understand this: photography and digital media is not only a passion for me, it's a way of life. So this next part is gonna hurt.

Camera west is the Best local media store within a 100 mile radius. B&H , Amazon blah blah blah . I like to vote with the all mighty dollar . A smart person once said " talk is cheap, MONEY talks."

Gary Faye, has the patience and knowledge too put up with my simple and complex questions. I've spent $15-close to the thousands, and plan to do so.

Because I am a novice, I've also had the pleasure of hearing him speak.

I highly recommend the series he does educating the masses with his experience abroad. College level knowledge if you ask me.

I am very pleased with my recently purchased Canon 5D Mark IV camera body. I traded in some of my well cared for gear. I was given very fair prices for it. Every person I dealt with and spoke to on the phone was professional and knowledgeable. I have been a customer since 2014. I am sure I will be back again.

Nice high class boutique camera store. Every time I stop by Palm Springs I pay them a visit. Reasonable prices on used Leica camera gear.

Quite possibly one of the Best Camera Shops; for Good Reason.

Sean, the Owner, is one of the most intelligent people when it comes film knowledge. If I have a question about specific cameras, he knows almost every model ever made. As well, helped me find exactly what I was looking for.

Second, they get good stock, but it sells fast. All the equipment I bought, the employees would say "Yeah, we just got that in yesterday." If you see something, you better buy it. They had a Pentax 6x7 that I immediately bought in a heartbeat because if I didn't, someone would.

If you're local, this is a shop to check back either once every two weeks or once a month because they really do change their stock. There is also a Leica room that is basically Leica Heaven for people into Leica. I'm personally more into Pentax and Mamiya, but their Leica selection is one to look at!

All and all, fantastic store; a place I would always come back to!

This place is awesome! They really care. My business partner and I were looking to get a stud removed from the tripod hole of our Sony a6400 after it had broken off in the camera.

Although they couldn't do the repairs there, they gave us a lot of information and advice and referred us to a local expert who invited us to his studio immediately.

Unfortunately, we were still not able to remove the stud but the guys at Camera West went above and beyond to help us out.

Please support this business because it is the last and only camera store left in the desert and there are very good reasons why they've survived.

Its great to gave a high end local camera store where the staff are al knowledgeable. Twice now they have gone above and beyond to help me get an obscure piece of equipment. Highly recommended.

We love this store. Photography is one of our main interests. They are extremely knowledgeable. We just bought new phones from them which they spent a lot of time helping us with and they also offer wonderful seminars on photography. A real find in Palm Desert.

I cannot, for the life of me, figure out why people say the staff here is rude and not knowledgible. This is the only professional photographic store in 50 miles.

Prices are competitive, existing products are well stocked and the store has knowledgible employees. Except for the Nikon D850, and no one has them. Yet.

Always helpful and very knowledgeable.
A great selection of quality gear and, most importantly, all the little odds and ends one needs for the job.
Pricing is very fair and they accept trades that make equipment upgrades a hassle free affair.
