Fort Magruder Hotel and Conference Center

The place is definitely in need of some upgrades but it's clean and comfy and room rates are exceptional. The location is fabulous. Very close to Colonial Wiliamsburg and Busch Gardens. All staff was extremely pleasant. Breakfast had a decent variety of food. We were on the ground floor and it was perfect for opening the patio door and playing catch with our dog.

The hotel has its own style. It has the amenities of other hotels I have stayed at but a more welcoming feel. Open lobby with a fireplace, several sitting areas, and meeting rooms. My room was nothing special, but it was clean, comfortable, and had a balcony. Breakfast was good and the staff was friendly. I would definitely stay again!

My husband and I loved this hotel! The indoor pool and hot tub were amazing, our two year old loved swimming. It had a huge, warm, and welcome lobby where they played movies and it was so much fun. There was a fireplace in the lobby as well that was great for warming up. It was close to tons of restaurants, gas stations, Busch gardens, and colonial Williamsburg! The rooms were clean and had decent sized tvs in them. The beds could maybe be upgraded but other than that everything was perfect. The staff was amazing and the breakfast was good! We are already planning a trip back here!!

Nice out of the way hotel.
Accommodations were nice; however, the temperature in the room would never come off of AC and ho to heat. This does come with a full complimentary breakfast with your stay.

I see a lot of negative reviews but my visit was perfect I have no complaints at all. Staff was great including the man at the front desk. Pool was clean room was clean. Breakfast was good and my boys had a great time I will definitely be returning.

Great rooms and staff! Good prices! Beautiful lobby! The complimentary breakfast was perfectly convenient before our busy planned day. I will definitely be back. Super close to restaurants and shops. Also only a few minute drive from downtown historical Colonial area.

This place is great. It's my new favorite hotel. Onl things I didn't like were that there was no fitted sheet on the bed, so my tossing and turning made the bed a mess. Also there's a pretty hard wire going around the top edge of the mattress. I recommend the pool and hot tub, and love how they're open until 11pm.

A great hotel for a great price. The breakfast is good, no sausage or bacon, but it has got muffins, waffles, bagels, biscuits cereals, decent enough coffee and it's all included. Very close to busch gardens and colonial Williamsburg we would definitely stay again!

Was a little skeptical after reading some of the reviews but had a wonderful stay! The rooms were tidy and clean, the 1st floor was absolutely beautiful and the service was excellent! As you get to the top floor, the hallways were rather warm but wouldnt change me staying here again! We had an incident where we left our room and when we came back the door lock was latched from the inside...not sure how that happened but it was resolved in 15 minutes and we were back in our room!

Planned a historical trip to williamsburg for our anniversary. Booked this hotel due for its connections with history. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Staff was very friendly, our room was clean, showers hot, we enjoyed the pool and hot tub. I've read the other negative reviews and I'm not sure where those people stayed! It was a very enjoyable experience. You can't pay 120 bucks a night and expect the Hilton. We will return!

By far one of the nicest, cleanest hotels I have stayed at in years. Lydia at the front desk was extremely accommodating and so professional. You could tell she really loved her job. The pool area and gardens are spectacular! Can't wait to go back again!

Excellent beds so comfortable for sleeping. I slept like a baby. The showers had great water pressure and a beautiful atmosphere. Has excellent views and good staff. I would stay there again

This has become mine and my husband's favorite hotel to stay at. It's nice and clean the staff are kind and friendly. And we always enjoy using the pool and sitting out on our balcony. We look forward to many more stays here.

We booked for one night and we’re going to move on, but decided to stay another because this place is perfect as a home base.

Very friendly staff. Breakfast was great. Nice historic location. A few upgrades will take it to the next level.

The front reception informed us how there will be a big group of children showing up on the same floor. We asked if there was any other rooms available and she was about to move us the the 1st floor I was very pleased with this and their customer service. They had a breakfast bar but I was hoping for more hot dishes. Other wise good food and a variety.
