Maury Loontjens Memorial Library

I have waited years to see brand new library, very well done, highly impressed. Lots of everything here. If visiting Rhode Island have this on bucket list, yes definitely best library in Rhode Island.

Hi Everyone, Just to let you know, this is the best library in the state. Everyone that runs this place is awesome. I'd also like to say the Children's library is really perfect too. It's a great place to give your children the gift of reading and loving books. They have updated and new editions, (along with the classics) all the time-so check it out! Plus wonderful events and classes going on winter and summer! I can't wait till we get our new building-that is very exciting! -Sincerely, Corinne Adams

Hi Guys, I stand by my word-this library has a great bunch of people running it. Always has. And now the town is going to get a new library building and it'll be even better. Plenty of room for our growing community to enjoy what this library has to offer. If you don't know the many services available maybe you should check it out! Drop in-it's always an interesting and friendly place to visit!

Hi Everyone! The new library is going to be so nice! I can't wait! It will be big enough to handle all the wonderful free movie dates, the awesome speakers, and the classes and performers! There is always something fun at this library and that's what makes it great! What I've always admired about this establishment is that the whole crew that works there is geared to make everything they do fun or educational for the community. It's not about them, it's about giving back to the town: the children, the college students, the adults and the seniors. People with special needs are treated with respect and dignity. Everyone is so caring, you can't help but enjoy all that the library calendar offers. And now the new building will open up a whole new world of comfortable space for everyone's needs! Great job everybody! Our little town has waited a long time for this awesome building!

This library is a wonderful resource for the community. They have a well stocked children’s room with some toys and play area included.

They do a great job. You can cool off in the summer and warm up in the winter. While you're there get a book and read it.. Expand your mind. They have movies and music you can borrow

We visit Maury Loontjens Library several times a week... we love the children’s library and librarians. They have an excellent collection of books, and puzzles and activities for kids. We love this library!

I like the new building and I’m looking forward to using the space for years to come.
