Today, 9/5/24 was my first visit to Botticelli's. Jan was very helpful in my search for a dress for my son's wedding. She has a good eye, and is excellent at figuring out what it is you're looking for. She has a lovely presence and great sense of humor. She makes you feel very comfortable! Check it out ✅

I just met the incredibly lovely and vivacious Jan , owner of Botticelli in Smithfield. I arrived as an apprehensive future mother of the bride not looking forward to trying on gowns. I am not a shopper and dread trying on clothes thanks to my curvy figure. I must say this by far was the most pleasant, and dare I say fun experience. Jan is extremely intuitive at helping you find “the dress”. I never thought I would find a dress that makes me feel beautiful but thanks to Jan I have a spectacular gown to wear. She is amazing and makes the whole process easy. One hundred percent recommend this business for the personal touch alone!!

Jan was incredibly helpful and made my experience fun! I’m attending a wedding with some strict dress requirements and Jan pulled out all the stops, all while chatting about life. I walked out with a gorgeous dress AND feeling good about myself. I’ll definitely be returning for dresses at other future events!

Came here to start the search for my mother’s gown for my wedding. Had an amazing experience from the moment we walked in; Jan is incredibly kind and supportive and knows what she is doing! She immediately put my mom at ease and listened to what she wanted in a dress and was extremely personable. It took less than an hour for my mother to find the dress of her dreams. I highly recommend this place for those needing a mother of the bride dress. Wouldn’t go anywhere else!

Botticelli is amazing! Jan has the best and most flattering selection of plus size in one shop. I have been a customer for a long time and you're in good hands at Botticelli for everything from an evening gown to casual leggings! Highly recommend!

My daughter recommended Botticelli for a Mother of the Bride dress after reading great reviews on line. Can I just say I had the best time with Jan! It was like shopping with my best friend! And the things I learned! Who knew your underwire in your bra is NOT suppose to try and kill you? (IE wrong size bra). By the end of my appointment I had my dress ordered and a huge sense of relief that I will not look old and have a flattering, comfortable dress on this most important day for my daughter! Looking for a dress for your daughter’s wedding is no joke-but Jan brings a fresh attitude and approach to the shopping experience. I not only got a gorgeous MOB dress, but dresses for every event this summer and fall are throwing my way….and this from a proclaimed “jeans queen”. WOW!! Just WOW!! You just don't get service like that anywhere!!! Needed a dress for a wedding..ended up with 2 dresses one for welcome dinner, a bra fitting and a sweater. This was truly a pleasurable experience. Thank you so much!! I will definitely be back.. SO worth the ride.

I've been meaning to write this review for 11 years when I first stumbled on Botticelli's when they were on Mineral Spring Ave. In my hunt to find a wedding dress as a plus sized girl, it was a STRUGGLE. If you know.. you know..

I figured I'd try to go to Botticelli's as it was a small locally owned boutique that claimed to have wedding dresses and was strictly a plus size store. Well, they delivered. I said yes to the dress. I didn't have to settle for David's Bridal trying on either the size 26 or the size 6... It was amazing...

Fast forward to Wednesday this week. I had to run all the errands. We just got back from a two week vacation in Italy... I had to return things at Target, Amazon, pick up at Kohl's and home depot, get a few last minute school supplies, get new brakes... it was a day.

On my way home, I decided to just take a chance to pop in and see if Jan had any jeans... Like I'm sure many of you plus size gals have had the problem.. of your favorite jeans wearing thin in the inner thigh area... yeah, that happened. So I NEEDED jeans, because they were my everyday jeans.

Jan is always so welcoming and knows how to help. She and I have a similar personality, which I love. She's a straight shooter. I told her what I was coming in for and that I had about 15 minutes to shop. She started putting things in my fitting room and we caught up on life.

While I was there, there was a mother of the bride and grandmother of the bride who were in there looking for something for an upcoming October wedding. She doesn't have wedding dresses anymore, but does have a great selection of formal wear and also TONS of dresses for wedding guests. If you have wedding to go to, you should really stop by! I wasn't in the market for a dress, but had I been, I totally would've struck gold! Most of the summer things were marked 50% off as well!

BRAS- Umm.. ALL OF US ARE WEARING THE WRONG SIZE! A mom came in with her teenage son and was a little embarrassed, saying, "I need a new bra." Jan made her bra fitting so easy! The three of us were talking through the dressing room the whole time. She walked out of there wearing her new bra feeling like a million bucks. I think there might be a bra burning in that woman's future!!!!

VIP Program - If you know me... you know I'm always up for a good deal. Jan just launched a new VIP Program. I guess the deal is $50/month that gets credited toward yourself... so it just gives you some money to play with... then you have early access to all the new clothes and gift shop items. If you join right now (this month) there's a $25 bonus! YES, PLEASE! So... I signed up... Jan took that off my purchase and I used my VIP Rewards on Wednesday as well.

There are not many plus size stores around... shopping online sucks... It's a crap shoot. Botticelli's has something for all ages... her items are high quality, not cheap Shein clothes. They are timeless and meant to last... and I found 2 pairs of jeans.. and a new top!

Making an appointment for my mom at Botticelli for her Mother of the Bride dress was the best decision.
Jan is a professional - she has a vision of what will be flattering, listened closely to what my mom was looking for and her concerns, and had my mom try things that would not typically be her style (& she ended up loving them!). Most importantly, Jan made my mom feel beautiful which made me so happy.
My mom is from south central CT and said the visit was well worth the drive!

Worth the drive from CT. Cindy took the time to help find me the perfect dress for a wedding. I had so much fun shopping the rest of the store and was able to refresh my wardrobe with clothes that fit me beautifully! I was back two weeks later and snagged some more! Both Cindy and Jan are amazing at what they do!

Botticelli’s is more than a plus sized clothing store, it is a luxury boutique experience with top notch customer service. I experienced this first hand when I stopped by the store one morning and it was unexpectedly opening an hour late that day so I didn’t get to shop. When I posted a comment on Facebook with my disappointment that I missed them, the owner Jan reached out to me privately with an apology and explained she had an unexpected emergency and had posted the late opening on social media but I had missed it. She also offered me a generous gift card to use online or in store, which was unnecessary but much appreciated. That kind of customer service is almost unheard of nowadays. Shopping in the store is a pleasure. The girls are always willing to help pick the right styles and get you out of your comfort zone. As a curvy woman, it’s nice to shop in a comfortable environment surrounded by cloths you can actually try on. I cannot recommend Botticelli’s enough. I posted a picture of an amazing dress I picked up for formal night for my cruise.

I don’t live in RI so I love watching daily FB posts and reviewing the online catalog. Descriptions of clothing is accurate. Only quality clothing is offered. Sizing is generally right on. Free shipping is a bonus! If you are not satisfied, returning items is never a problem. Cindy and Jan are always happy to answer any questions before or after your order.
I now receive so many compliments on my clothes since I have been shopping at Botticelli.

Botticelli is a top notch small business. You get great personal attention and customer service. Kind of a mix between shopping therapy and seeing a good therapist. I always leave Botts feeling great, with wonderful purchases that I wear time and time again. Definitely worth the drive from central Connecticut.

Shopping for MotherOfTheBride dress was not something I was excited to do as a plus size woman who does not like to be the center of attention. But Jan and everyone at Botticelli made me feel so comfortable and beautiful !! They are very honest and forthcoming about pricing, they listen to the comments and rambling thoughts and make you feel comfortable with who you are… it’s like shopping with your best friends!!

I love the store! Jan and Cindy are so helpful and make shopping fun. They go out of their way to help you. The clothes are beautiful and excellent quality. Please stop in you won’t be disappointed.

It’s a pleasure to write a review for this wonderful shop, Botticelli, in Smithfield, RI. I was having a terrible time finding the right dress for my son’s upcoming wedding, and had pretty much given up finding something until a friend recommended Botticelli. My “co-mom” and I made an appointment and we visited the shop together, where we were expertly taken care of by an exceptional staff. They listened to what I was looking for, provided excellent suggestions for silhouette and style, and in the end we both ended up purchasing beautiful dresses. The ladies spent a lot of time with us, and really went out of their way to make us feel comfortable. It was truly a Say Yes To The Dress experience and I’m looking forward to wearing my beautiful dress to the wedding. A few weeks later I went back with a friend and she received the exact same amazing attention and also purchased a beautiful dress. Thanks for making a great experience for us!

Great experience, finding my mom off the groom dress! Something I was dreading, turned into a fun experience. Jan nailed it with the first dress after talking to me a little bit first. She even did a bra fitting “the girls “ and I thank you! Now I can relax and look forward to the wedding. I am so relieved! Found an awesome raincoat and a cute top while I was there. I will definitely be back.!
