Chippewa Creek Gorge Scenic Overlook

Cold winter day to visit this place not good idea! Snow covered deck, freezing falls and small creek flooding under the ice. Easy parking and have a picnic during other seasons may good idea! Will come back in other times!

Great walking trails and off-trail creek adventuring.

Great place to day hike. Plenty of hiking and bridal trails to explore. Par course on the AP trail.
There is even a section for orienteering.
They did however remove some of the port-a-potties. Restroom can be found at the Nature center. Completed the new extension of the Gorge Loop.

The new Gorge Loop takes you down to the bottom of the gorge (be sure to wear proper shoes & grab your trekking poles).
Gorgeous views from all the spectacular colors that fall has to offer!
The stone stairs can be slickery (no handrails) use caution! Great place for family walks, taking in a run, or walk about! They do have benches along the trails (clearly marked signage) and there is a pavilion. Trash receptacles are on the trails do your part and keep the parks and Watershed clean from rubbish.

You could go every week for a year and still never run out of paths to take. It got quite hot so we opted for the 1.3 mile loop!

Parking is easy. Walk the trail that runs along the gorge. Theres a deck overlook with a few tables, where you can see the gorge down below. You can also go down there and explore. It looks like they have finished building another trail that will let you go down into the gorge.If the lot is full, there are spaces further up parkway. If all else fails, Oak Grove picnic area has a lot of parking spaces, as well as restrooms. It is a walking trial so wear the correct shoes. Great place for a walk with anyone or the pupperz.

Place was amazing. Made a loop by hiking the cree then taking Chippewa trail crossing creek to Hemlock trail. Loved it!!

This place is magical.
On the surface it appears to be a normal park and trail but if you dig a little deeper she is full of treasure and endless beauty.

We had a great hike. Nice to get out on a winter day.

When in search of a scenic trail to hike, I find new areas to explore and venture from there. The Chippewa will engage all your senses at every turn. See you on the path in 2021...

Wonderful new hike - clearly marked and an easy loop. Connects to other trails if you need a longer option, as well. Fun to see the gorge in this new perspective!

Beautiful park! Really nice paved and also forest trails. Paved trail has some pretty big up and down hills and I'm completely out of shape so I usually walk up the hills pretty slow and nobody has made fun of me yet, which is nice. I walked the forest trail today for the first time and it was absolutely beautiful I can't wait until the trees have leaves I bet it's even more beautiful then.

Love this area! There are so many awesome trails, picnic areas, fields, and gorgeous sights to look at or explore every time you stop by. It isn't awfully crowded until after work hours, but even then you aren't fighting for a place to sit or path to jog/hike. Water fountain is about half a mile up from this first parking lot, as are bathrooms!

This is such a beautiful little place! You wouldn't even realize it was there if you didn't know about it when you drive by, but once you pull into the park and take a walk around, it's an amazing little getaway from city life. As someone who had grown up around gorges in upstate New York, it was really nice to see something so pretty like this in Northeastern Ohio.
