Howard Street AutoCare Center

We've taken our vehicles to Howard Street Auto Care for close to 20 years. Why? They're great, and on considerably more than one occasion, they've gone the extra mile (or two) for us.
Case in point: earlier today, the manager called my wife. He had passed her this morning on their respective ways to work, noticed one of the tail lights in her car was out, and he wanted to let her know.
That's *true* customer care!

Howard Street AutoCare did a great job on my vehicle. They talked over the repairs with me and I never felt pressured into anything. There are two locations, a body shop and the AutoCare center.

Just moved to town and feel super lucky to have a place like this to go to. They are obviously very knowledgeable and are realistic, straightforward, and informative when it comes to what needs to be done (or what can wait if need be). I have complete trust in Howard Street and will be exclusively giving them my business from now on.

Great crew here! Couldn't be happier with where I chose to take my vehicle. I had one specific thing I wanted checked out. They resolved that issue for me, and checked on a handful of other potential issues as well. Above and beyond, quick and friendly, honest and straightforward service. It was my first time bringing a vehicle to Howard Street and from this point on, it will be the only shop I go to. Every person on the staff that I had interaction with was very friendly and helpful. Rob and everyone else has done an awesome job communicating and explaining whatever issues they found. They answered all of my questions and helped me understand what was being done. Nick and Rob are very courteous, helpful, honest and trustworthy. They are very clear about diagnosing the car and its prognosis. The pricing is good. The mechanics are excellent. They are thorough, painstaking and the solutions that they, together with Nick and Rob, come up with are quite acceptable. They do their best to get you in as quickly as possible and there are always cars in line. So, they must be doing something right, eh?

I love Howard Street! They've taken amazing care of my car, and Rob and Nick are very good at keeping me informed on any issues. I have a 15 year old car, and I feel very safe knowing Howard Street is looking after it. I highly highly recommend Howard Street to anyone looking for a mechanic. Great Communication
We were impressed by the level of communication regarding our car repair. The technician explained the problem versus just telling us what needed to be fixed and told us the steps that they took to ensure that the problem was taken care of. We would definitely recommend this business to others.

I have been going to Howard Street Garage for many years, over the lifespan of two different cars. I have been happy with the car maintenance and repairs. The pricing is fair, costing less than going to the dealership. They are honest and trustworthy, I don't worry about being cheated by unnecessary repairs. I highly recommend them

First time at Howard Street AutoCare was this morning. Great service from the start. Rob and Nick along with the tow truck driver was amazing. Rob and Nick got my Ford Explorer turned around in very little time and they didn’t hammer me with labor charges. If your in Mount Vernon and you need your car fixed, give these guys a call.

Howard Street autoCare is honest, courteous and do excellent work. From another estimate from somewhere else, who wanted to charge $1200 for something. Howard Street checked it out, said that was not the problem, fixed that and another thing they found wrong and the cost was less than half of what I was told at another place. I am a elderly woman and have been taken too many times over the years, I have finally found an honest place to go!

I was visiting family and from out of town. My car broke down. I was able to get the car towed to Howard St Garage and Jim was really wonderful. They assessed the problem, called me and provided a quote much lower than I was expecting. The car was fixed quickly and well below the quoted price. They also fixed a couple other things and did not charge for those. Polite, professional and truly a blessing. I will take my car forty minutes up the road to Howard St anytime I need work done.

Howard Auto Care and Rahb was great to work with. I have never dealt with a shop that tried any harder to resolve my drivetrain issue and be fair in their charges. I highly recommend this shop.

Excellent people excellent service! I use them for all my repairs and maintenance. They know their stuff and they are very reasonable with pricing. They even know how to work with modified cars and they are very knowledgeable in the world of aftermarket products. The perfect hometown shop!

The entire staff at Howard Street AutoCare did an AMAZING job working on an issue I was told, 'only the Toyota dealership could address'. Rob did a fantastic job communicating to me before, during, and after the work that was being done. I was treated more than fairly and the work was done promptly and as quoted. The technician even fixed a minor problem they encountered during the original repair (at nearly no cost). I WILL be using Howard Street Autocare for all automotive needs in the future. Heard a "bad" sound coming from my right rear tire coming into MV.

Stopped by 8am Monday morning and they took care of me right away.

My local family uses "Howard" for all their aitomotve needs and I know why.

They do great work they always get me in and diagnosed in a fast timely manor I was having problems with my front left tire just periodically making noise not often but enough to concern and they were the only shop I found to help me diagnose what it was and get it fixed before I go on vacation

I have used Howard Street on multiple occasions for 5 different vehicles. They have always been professional and easy to work with, especially Rob. I would highly recommend them for any automotive work you need done.
