Marjorie is such a great director! She has made so many positive changes to the school and it is reflected in the amazing teachers and their attitudes. You can see that kids love coming to school and parents feel comfortable dropping their children off. I really admire that she is so communicative and is always making herself available. I highly recommend bringing your children to Children of America in Smithtown for great education, great teachers, and a director that always has a warm and positive smile.

I worked at this center for over 4 years. Since then, I’ve moved on to a job in my field, and have worked several other jobs in between. To this day, it is the hardest and most taxing job I have ever worked.

Childcare is often thankless. The hours are long, the work is physically and mentally demanding, and there are so many different things to juggle throughout the day. Children have individual needs, schedules, and all require patience and attention. Keeping up with all of those things is not for the weak; so the staff that continue to show up every day, do so because they care about children and education deeply. Many of the people I worked with had families of their own to go home to and take care of at night, after spending their workday caring tirelessly for others’ children.

There is a reason so many families choose to bring their children to COA. Many loved it so much that they would continue to enroll new additions to their families, stay for summer programs, and recommend the center to their friends. The staff are attentive, kind, and deeply passionate about providing the best care for your children. They routinely go above and beyond what anyone would expect of them, simply because they care.

I have maintained close relationships with many of my old coworkers, several of which have stayed with the company for years. They are some of the best teachers and carers out there. They all continually praise the new director, Marjorie, for her dedication, patience, and the care she takes with the employees, families, and children.

If you're looking for high quality care, with teachers who want your children to succeed in a safe and loving environment, this is where you want to send them.

I am very happy with the care of my child at Children of America in Smithtown. When I toured the director and all of the teachers were very friendly. My daughter who is usually shy was talking to everyone by the end of the tour. We have been here now for 6 months and she is doing so good and learning alot. She looks forward to going to school, which makes me feel very relieved and comfortable with making the right choice for her. Thank you for all you do❤

My son started when he was 2y 4m old. He has grown so much since starting here. I love the staff, Marjorie the director is always available. His lead teacher Jennifer is fantastic and we also love Nick! I love how all the teachers know my son's name as he leaves. Can't recommend enough!

My daughter is special needs and attends morning care and full day care during breaks at COA Smithtown. They are very accommodating, and the most caring group of staff I’ve ever met. They are attentive and give reports at the end of each day about what your child did. Having a child with special needs takes a village, and I’m so happy to have them as part of mine.

No other daycare compares. If you want your kids to have a home away from home look no further. My kids love their time at the children of America and feel safe and comfortable. The staff are exceptional at what they do. Hands down the best daycare I have enrolled my children in.

I have to say, as a parent it's tough to leave your little one in someone else's care but COA has been amazing. It's a huge relief to know I'm leaving my daughter in the care of people who have her best interest in mind.
Every morning my daughter runs right into the arms of Ms. Patty or Ms. Steffany with a big smile. I really love that I can check in on her using the cameras when I miss her at work. She's always playing, napping or eating, always seems content and cared for. Ms. Marjorie and Ms. Steffany are always keeping me informed and make me feel confident that I chose the right place for my child's care.
The facility is always clean and welcoming to the children with art and fun activities displayed amongst the halls. I really can't say enough. They say it takes a village, well, COA smithtown feels like just that. Everyone is always pitching in to make sure these kids are having a fun but structured day while their parents are at work.

My girls love going to COA every day. All of the staff treat the children as if they were their own. It is very comforting to know my kids are being cared for in a loving way. They also learn so much. My three year old uses words I didn't know she even knew and in the right context! She always asks about going to school on the weekends and about her friends and teachers. It's great environment for learning and growing and piece of mind for me that my girls are in great care.

I would like to say as a special education teacher i have been to many child cares and schools. I generally am not a fan of franchise childcares however this child are stands apart from the rest. My experiences here have shown me that the staff is not only caring and nurturing but they are highly knowledgeable. They have a great understanding of what is developmentally appropriate for children. When I was at this center treating one of my students I worked very closely with a teacher in the pre-k class. This teacher went above and beyond when it came to her students. Her communication skills were outstanding with parents and also working with me. The director of this facility is amazing she is in touch with families and staff. She personally knows ALL of the children. I would highly recommend this facility to families that are looking for a top notch childcare for their children.

Both my daughters have been attending COA since they were 3 months old. Miss Patty and Miss Dora in the Infant rooms are amazing and warm. I was so at ease when dropping off both of my children when they were infants because of them. Miss Jessica fully potty trained my daughter when she was in her class. It is difficult enough to train one child and it amazed me how well she handled it with a handful of children learning at once. My four-year old is now in Miss Vanessa and Miss Allison’s class. I couldn’t say enough good things about them both. She has learned so much from them and I am so impressed. She is writing her name and letters and tells me about everything she learns. My 1 ½ year old is in Miss Amanda’s class and she is the perfect teacher for that room. Her vocabulary is expanding and she is always so happy to run into her class when dropping her off. Miss Catherine and Mr. Chris are wonderful with both of my children.
I couldn’t be happier with the new Management. Miss Kelly really knows how to juggle the different roles her job entails and she still has a special relationship with each child as she started as a teacher in the infant room (My girls adore her). I am so happy with the communication of Management which I felt was lacking prior to the new management. Miss Mary Kate & Miss Amy are a great addition to Management.
My daughters enjoy every single teacher in the building. I highly recommend this daycare center.

My kids (ages 3 and 1.5) have been attending COA since they were three months old. The teachers in every class are so amazing and attentive. Miss Patty and Miss Dora in the infant classrooms are great; my kids still run down the hallway to give them hugs when they see them. Miss Amanda in the Toddler class does a wonderful job, always teaching the kids about colors and shapes and dancing with them. We love Miss Nancy, Miss Vanessa and Miss Michelle—they aren’t even in my kid’s classrooms right now, but I’m always hearing stories about how they helped my kids during the day or popped in to say hello. Miss Jessica does a great job with the pre-schoolers and my son is constantly coming home with something new that he learned and I love it. Also, the entire school banded together and helped my son get potty-trained. Each and every teacher at this school genuinely cares about the kids and I am so so impressed with the amount of learning that goes on in the classrooms every day. I have never been concerned about the safety of my kids—I know they are in really good hands when I drop them off. COA does a great job throughout the year as far as bringing in new activities and setting up fun parties for the kids for the holidays. The directors, Kelly and Mary Kate, are wonderful—they are always aware of everything going on in the classrooms and do a really good job of keeping parents informed about their children. This is a wonderful school with loving caregivers. Can’t say enough good things!

We recently joined the COA family (this is our 3rd week!). Until that time we had our son at home with a babysitter we loved so to say I was apprehensive to send him to school would be an understatement (and if I'm being honest my husband may have been worse!). BUT our first meeting at COA with Amy went so well, everyone was so welcoming, the school is filled with the kids crafts and colors and fun, everything is so clean, everyone made us feel right at home, our questions happily answered, and all of the teachers and staff are amazing. My husband and I couldn't be happier with this choice, our 15 month old son has so much fun throughout the day with all kinds of learning activities, we love his teacher Miss Nicole and most importantly we know he's in great hands all the time.

My husband and I were really impressed with the educational component of this school. It was important to us that our son not just socialize and play but that his teachers prepare him for Kindergarten. He has learned so much! We like that his teachers interact with him when he is doing work time. Yesterday he came home and told us that Ms. Michelle played with him in block center. He said that when he grows up he wants to be an engineer who builds homes for people. My husband and I looked at each other, we couldn't believe he knew what an engineer was! We love that they have made learning fun for him.

I recently stopped by Children of America Smithtown to check out the facility and staff. Not only was the building clean and well maintained, the staff was also phenomenal as well. They were helpful and able to answer all of my questions. I found this child care center to be suitable for my child's needs. The staff was very caring and seemed to be very knowledgable in many aspects of child care and well prepared for any emergencies that might arise.

My son Zach has been going to COA since he was an infant and he is now 7 years old. At every stage in his life thus far, Zach has had the wonderful opportunity to be cared for by the amazing staff at COA. They care so much for all of the children which gives this single working mother the peace of mind needed that her child is cared for and safe!

COA Smithtown is the best. I love how everyone is part of a team. Every time I visit I feel welcomed. My eyes are always stuck to the walls filled with beautiful art, which shows children are active educationally. Great things going on here! :)
