Had the best five days staying at the Hotel Chelsea. Without a doubt the coolest hotel I’ve ever stayed in. The history of this place has intrigued me for years, so it was a privilege to finally stay here. If you want a modern feel, then this might not be the place for you. But if you’re looking for somewhere with soul, this hotel has really got it. Loved the home from home feel, the decor, the artwork and the neighbourhood. It felt like a real NY experience. They also have a great gym on the top floor which we made full use of. There are plenty of great hotels in NY, but there’s only one Hotel Chelsea. Thank you so much for having us and we will be back asap.

Wow! This is the best hotel I've been to in NYC, and it's not even close. We stayed in room 1N on the first floor, at the back of the building. The room was quiet and refreshingly cold. While some might consider it a "bad" room due to its location, we absolutely loved it. The bed was very comfortable, and the bathroom had a proper door—not a sliding one—which was a nice touch. The room also featured an actual closet with plenty of storage space.

The amenities were fantastic, including a minibar, room service, and a lobby bar. There are two restaurants attached on either side of the hotel. We dined at the French one, and it was great. You could easily stay on that block and have an amazing vacation.

All of the staff were wonderful. They booked us a nice dinner reservation, and the bellmen were all very kind. I had a long photography conversation with one of them, I think his name was Dom. I've been to NYC many times in my life, and for the first time, I was sad to leave. Usually, this place drains me in two days, but this time I wanted to extend our stay. The building is so beautiful. We will definitely be back.

If you don’t like this hotel, you are dead to me. Our balcony room overlooking the iconic sign was smallish (but it’s NY) but no amenity was overlooked. The service is impeccable. The lobby bar is phenomenal. The cafe is tres chic and delicious. The location can’t be beat. Now let’s talk about charm…every inch is eye magic. So if you have one bad thing to say about this magical piece of history wrapped up in modern luxury, I’d suggest you stay at the Marriott Marquis.

ok, after more than 20 years of visits to NY a few times a year, I found my favorite hotel! the most beautiful, restored, perfectly maintained building; perfect location, surrounded by multiple subway lines stations; buautiful, spacious room; great bed; and - as always - most important: great staff! intelligent and professional team, that it feels they enjoy working here. loved every minute here

Absolutely wonderful stay. Rooms were clean and well appointed. Service was excellent. History of the place really added to the ambiance. Quiet at night. The lobby bar and cafe (for brunch) are also highly recommended!

Staying at The Hotel Chelsea was on my bucket list and it did not disappoint! I was sure to watch the documentary about the hotel before my trip. The renovations the new owners have done are perfect. While it has all the modern conveniences you’d expect, it has kept the chic, bohemian, artsy interior. Amazing 11-story cast iron original spiral staircase. Think stained glass, velvet, fab art work, marble bathrooms & fireplace, monogrammed linens, leather hangers, luxurious robes, luscious wallpapers!! It was an experience!! A must stay for a weekend in NYC.

I stayed many many years ago before the refurb. It was the most epic night ever. Place holds so much history, it’s beyond. As a born and bred New Yorker, hardly anything really excites me. My night at the Chelsea, however, was amazing!

Our stay at the Chelsea Hotel was wonderful. The new hotel has perfectly respected the soul of the place; the decor is meticulous yet not ostentatious, the atmosphere remains special, the prices are fair, the artworks scattered throughout the hotel are of quality and recall the identity of the place, and finally, the staff is exquisitely kind. We recommend it without any hesitation, the best address in Manhattan for those who want to taste true luxury and elegance. We will return, thank you The hotel

We really enjoyed our stay at The Chelsea. The rooms were sympathetically furnished, the restoration is great and the staff were lovely. Location decent with two subway stations very close by and a comedy club next door!

I was conceived her. The legacy of my family lives on thru these walls, despite the renovations. I was fortunate to have been able to stay in the original room before the renovations, as my biological father also passed away there.
His spirit is connected to that hotel. I have had amazing experience at the Chelsea despite the negatives that have happened in my life, I mean it not the fault of the venue.

I read some people who had a issue with the noise or shared balconies... WELCOME TO NYC!!! What do they expect when they're in a busy area of Manhattan?! LOL

I just wished I could book over a year in advance, obviously with a nonrefundable deposit that would go to the room price.

I've lived some of my best years here and I really want to show my current partner that lovely experience!!!

I’m really obsessed with having tea at the café! The vibe is so chic. It gets really busy end of day so come early.
The hotel has really been renovated with the best care ever. The restaurant, bar and even the toilets are just absolutely stunning. Marble and wood everywhere, tile work and glass.

There is a high end vibe, a bit bourgeois in a pleasant way. People dress up or at least I always do when I go there.

Beautiful hotel inside and out.
Our room was spacious with a balcony and the restoration is thoughtful.
Lobby bar was cool with a cast of characters.
Nice boutique experience.
I would love to go back 💃

Martinis were spectacular in both size and taste. Excellent service from the bartender (wish I could remember his name) and the food (especially the oysters) was phenomenal; perfect place for a special occasion!

Absolutely the coolest hotel EVER! What a glorious restoration, kept all the quirky touches that give the building its character while still having every modern convenience. The tub was amazing, actually the whole bathroom was a delight. The bar and bartenders were fantastic, loved the new restaurant as well. The only place we'll stay in NYC!

Best luxury-lifestyle hotel in NYC today and best bang for your buck - only luxury suite in NYC for <$1k. Stayed in the deluxe atelier suite with wife and 2 babies and thought the room was incredible. Staff and service are above and beyond. Iconic lobby bar, Chelsea Cafe and cocktail bar. Enjoyed the spa experience too - love they let me bring my toddler to the sauna. Overall A+ staycation!

My only constructive criticism is I wish the hotel were more prominent on Google/Uber/Lyft and not hidden behind a 2-star Chelsea Savoy hotel which awkwardly features more prominently.

Wow wow wow! This place did not disappoint. I am so thrilled we got to experience this beautiful historic hotel and I have not one complaint. Everything from the service to the rooms to the food was impeccable and we absolutely cannot wait to come back for our next stay! Thank you hotel Chelsea!

Was in the neighborhood and popped in to have a drink because why not? Went to the lobby bar and had a martini. The space was elegant and the martini was exactly what I needed. I enjoyed the space so much, that I stopped by the front desk to ask about booking a room for upcoming date night for Valentine's Day that the boyfriend and I have planned. Cathal was so helpful and funny - I was tempted to book right then and there. I will definitely be back to stay next time!

A monumental iconic building that the owners of The Bowery Hotel have placed their very special touches. Its kept its uniqueness while being upgraded to perfectly appointed rooms, food was fab, and the service was just perfect. Cannot wait to come back for a few nights xo A
