Willis Monie Books

I ordered a fragile 50 year old chapbook for eight dollars. The care with which it was wrapped was unbelievable. I don't think I've ever received printed materials that were so thoughtfully sent on their way. It seems that nothing is too small to be treated with great care. The expedited shipping was on point too. Highest recommendation.

Books are fairly priced. Got a bunch of older books I was looking for so made me happy. Owner was very helpful and friendly. More then worth a stop if you are traveling through and like books. Some of the pictures show books on the ground but that just a slight over flow and everything is really well organized. Highly recommend this place!

Excellent, traditional used books store with as many bookcases as they could shoehorn into the space. I was greeted and then given space to browse, but then had a nice conversation while checking out. The prices are excellent! The sheer amount of books can be overwhelming when you first enter, but the organization is meticulous.

Easily one of the top ten used bookstores between Maine and Virginia. Excellent prices, vast quantity, and high quality. I have traveled to almost every book store in the northeast over the past few years, but tragically missed this one until recently. Spent over a hundred bucks without trying. Will add this to my quarterly rotation and look forward to my next run through central NY.

So nice to see a store that hails back to the wonderful old bookshops of some of our great cities. Great books, affordable prices and helpful staff... I always stop by when I am in the area. Nice New York section and abundance of books on baseball and baseball cards too. It's tucked away... Don't miss it!!!

Such a cool bookstore with a lot of old books and they have great vintage post cards too.

A hidden gem in Cooperstown for sure. Was able to pick up a few rare baseball books I normally wouldn't find anywhere else. I would definitely recommend giving yourself a set amount of time to explore the entire shop as the selection is extremely large. Next time I will make sure to do so as I'm sure I'll find some more product that fit my taste (was pressed for time during my visit).

Willis Monie is a super cool bookstore. I always make sure to stop by when I'm in Cooperstown. They have TONS of old books on every subject. It's not the place to go for the latest publications, but that's not to say they don't have contemporary authors on offer. I always gravitate toward the section with old magazines and advertisements....also tons of old art and design books, stuff about American history, lots of stuff about baseball, american authors etc etc etc. I could (and often do) spend hours in there perusing their awesome selection.

Amazing bookstore with so many unique titles and really decent prices from what I was seeing. I found a wish list book deep in the stacks. ♥

This place is a hidden gem. It's on Main Street, hiding among the baseball themed stores. You walk in and are greeted by stacks and shelves of great books. Everything from sports, to history, to fiction. They have it all. Their prices are very reasonable as well.

Very cool selection of old books. Owners know where anything is if you ask and all are at a good price as long as they arent collectables which is to be expected as expensive. Overall great place to go.

A classic used book store. The staff member I dealt with was very knowledgeable about baseball books and the store had an impressive selection. I will be back and I will be ordering on-line too.
