Alpenhaus Motel

Just needed a room for one night. It's not up to date, you get a key instead of a card. But the room was great, especially for the price. The beds were extremely comfortable, the heat worked TOO well, had to turn the thermostat down. WIFI worked fine. Bathroom was clean as a whistle in fact the whole room was. Top that off with a friendly staff, I would recommend this place to anybody. Any negatives? OK, the TV remote needed a new battery.

Small sweet motel, staff was very friendly and professional, clean room, accommodating to my disabled mouthed in law and service dog. Close to everything you would need.

Rooms are spacious and well equipped with a microwave and mini fridge. Fresh lines are put in room daily (these smell fabulous, by the way). Bathroom also has a heat lamp, which is very nice Nd I imagine nicer on those cooler mornings. Old-world German style, I think. Chairs on front porch where you can sit outside if you wish, and very quiet

Great clean room, very spacious, old school but I like that.
Front desk manager was great.
Plug ins need a slight update, and yes I know everything nowadays is pricey but this was a little bit high.
Overall it was great

Nice place. Quiet despite being on the highway. Reminds me of hotels in the Great Smokies and other Appalachian locales. Seemingly 50's-vintage building (real tiles and wallpaper in the bathroom-which has a larger tub than one usually encounters while traveling). Helpful staff. Neat theme decor on building. Also, whatever shopping and eating needs you may have are all close to here. Too, not more than a couple hours away (many are closer) from a variety of outdoor/family activities (even Lake Placid has reasonable proxomity). Additionally, the buildings face east so you can see the sun rise, and the parking lot gets sun early on winter days. If we make it back up here, this is where we'll be.😊

A standard Motel. All doors lead to outside, no hallways. Almost across from a plaza, and near to Aviation Mall and very near several fast-food places. Walking might be a bit dicey, though; the Motel is off a busy multi-lane road. Clean place, and the staff is quite nice.
