Nathan Littauer Hospital

Husband had an accident while visiting a friend's camp. (On June 29th) Had to go to the ER. Best experience ever!! Got him in, did the testing necessary & released him. The staff was excellent. Dr. Wong was exceptional!! So glad your hospital ER is so convenient & efficient!!

Friday 3/29, I had an appointment at the Steele Avenue Office, of Dr Bradley Paddock. My appointment was with Amy paddock FNP. I was completely impressed by the positive culture evident regarding concern for patient well being, as well as the cordiality of the staff regarding interpersonal interactions among staff members, as well between patients and staff.
Amy Paddock and LeAnn, the nurse assisting Amy, made the entire experience, actually enjoyable. I left the facility with a smile.
Amy spent a substantial amount of time with me, explaining, in detail, my options. She was one of the best care providers I have ever had the experience of interacting with. She made me feel like she would devote as much attention as I required her to, for me to feel confident I completely understood the direction my care was taking.

One of the best hospitals I've ever been to. They treated my husband with a lot of love and care. The nurses are amazing here. God bless this hospital

This place was amazing. They took much care and consideration for my husband when he was injured in a work accident they were very fast friendly, and efficient. You couldn’t ask for more. If you’re dreading going to the emergency room this is the place to be, they will put you at ease, do everything in a fast, efficient and friendly manner and get you in and out and pointed in the right direction I can’t thank the staff enough

I was injured in a motor vehicle accident while driving a FedEx truck that lost control and slammed into a mountain rock wall, I was in excruciating pain, still in excruciating pain, however this hospital is like none I’ve ever been to. The staff was the most caring, efficient hospital staff I have EVER encountered, they were literally lined up waiting to get into my ER room and get me to my next diagnostic or xray etc, to the nice gentleman in the er who went and warmed a blanket for me then tucked me into it.felt like a discombobulated burrito but it was so comforting. This emergency department should be commended. St Mary’s/Albany MED/ ELLIS - AWFUL. I’ll never ever in my life go to any of them again. Take me to Nathan Littauer!!!

Underwent surgery in April. This hospital met all expectations. Staff, Doctors, and facilities. All class A. I would recommend this place to everyone. . The outcome of my surgery was excellent. Thank s to all . Keep up the great work. Exemplary!

My husband recently had oral surgery here and the staff was professional and listened to my husband's every concern and or every question he had. They gave him plenty of stuff to help with his recovery ( day five of recovering) and gave plenty of advice. They have called him to make sure he's doing okay. So if you ever need surgery here, I highly recommend them!! Thank you Dr. Stephanie Weiss for everything

My experience was in the surgical center and I will say the staff and cleanliness of the hospital was impeccable. Tentative nurses that showed their compassion and dedication to their job. Surgery was quick and efficient. Anesthesiologist was even wonderful. I highly recommend this facility and the staff and connecting doctors.

We came to the ER with my 2 year old son while on vacation. We were treated so wonderfully. The nurses, doctor, everyone. They were great with my son and made sure we were comfortable and let us know every step they were taking. I definitely felt good about coming here regardless of the other reviews I read.

My family’s journey began on 9/20/22 with my father James Dingman! We started in the ED I’m not sure what time, I arrive after him because I live in Amsterdam but my sisters were already there! The RN taking care of my father was very attentive unfortunately the doctor working appeared to be taking his time not showing much empathy for us girls! My father had to be intubated he was in real bad shape at some point after intubation the sedation was wearing off and my father was starting to wake! The RN alerted the Doctor Who intern took his time to put the order in for the RN to administer the medication to sedate him! The PCT was attentive! The following day my father was taken to SCU……… I can’t thank the SCU nurses enough they were absolutely amazing!
Every single nurse, doctor, PA, unit clerk & right down to housekeeping / Dietary, went above and beyond for my family and believe me there were so many of us in and out of there as my father was actively dying! He put up one hell of a fight because it wasn’t until 8:42 this morning on 10/7 that he took his last breath! From my entire family that was there to the entire special care unit I want to thank you it’s hard losing someone because of you and your staff you made it so peaceful for us at no point the entire time that we were there did I feel he was being neglected in anyway shape or form! He was clean his mouth care was being done he was being repositioned heck I think if I asked one of the girls to reposition me they would’ve lol! Again thank you for making our last moments with our wonderful father, friend, uncle and grandpa Mr. James Dingman so beautiful!

In July of 2019 I had my tonsils and adenoids removed by Dr. Paddock. During the recovery period, I had to go to the ER and eventually to the OR twice because of blood clots that had formed in my throat. From my initial pre op at the hospital, to my last visit, my experience was phenomenal. The secretaries, nurses, doctors, and anesthesiologists were all informative and caring. For the most part, during the three times I went there for surgery I had different nurses caring for me each time. It really showed how consistent they are and what their philosophy is as a whole. I also had a different anesthesiologist for each surgery. All of them were great and talked me through what they were doing, and asked appropriate questions. I really appreciate the staff at Nathan Littauer Hospital. They made my surgery and recovery period feel safe and worry free.

I recently went in for outpatient surgery. This is not my first time here. My past experience with emergency surgery and planned procedures have all be great. This time was no difference. The pre-op staff were friendly and thorough. My wait was reasonable. The surgical staff were great and rather entertaining while I left the farm for my quick trip! Post op I was fed muffins, warmed and buttered plus anything I wanted to drink. It was a great experience in every way. Highly recommended.

AMAZING experience all the time. Especially OBGYN and maternity. I gave birth to our daughter and son here. Both experiences were fantastic. The nurses and doctors were very professional, knowledgeable, kind and caring. I would highly recommend NLH!

My wife was here for spine surgery. Not sure what the story was with some of these poor ratings but in our particular case this hospital was top notch. Couldn’t ask for a better experience the health professionals here were 100% at all times. Thank you all.

I have been coming to NLH for over 20 years. I have had two births at the hospital and both times have loved my experiences there. The doctors and nurses in the primary care, OBGYN and birthing center have been so professional and helpful. I have had to go to the ER on a few occasions and have brought my children there and they have been very patient and always explained everything. I would recommend everyone to go there.

Thank you to all of the ER staff. They were more than accommodating to me, my husband and 7 day old new born. Thankfully everything turned out ok! I appreciate the attentive care and responsiveness that was given to us.

Great hospital I was treated right away the lady's were so nice Dr very experience explain my x-rays my condition and the medication very professional staff well spoken

I haven't been there in years but want there yesterday and I would have to say it wasn't bad was only there a few hours and I got what I needed and they told me everything i needed to know very good experience hopefully I don't need to go to another hospital but if I did I would go back there

They did a really good job about 2 years ago I had my baby girl there im so thankful for the team who helped me back then and then about 9 months ago when I was pregnant for another baby girl they found out I had placenta prev.and I could have lost my baby and my life they sent me to Albany medical center to have her but they stood by me for support so this hospital has my up most respect
