Wow! I recently received a phenomenal cut and coaching session with Ron, the owner. From the minute I entered the salon, I knew I was somewhere special. Two beautiful curly-haired dogs greeted me, making me feel instantly welcome and at ease. I love the salon -- it is peaceful and cozy. Ron and I had a great conversation about my hair and what I could expect. He was extremely attentive and responsive, educating me on the best ways to hydrate and nourish my curls, without any pressure to purchase products. I left the salon with an amazing cut and style -- and the best part is that I can replicate the results when I style it myself! This is definitely my new salon -- so thankful it was recommended to me. Ron thank you for sharing your talents with the curly-haired community!

Ron not only takes the time to trim and shape the hair specifically for what suits you, he also gives a lesson in care and maintenance. The staff are all friendly and welcoming and it’s clear that they care very much about the work that they’re doing. Following my first appointment, I’ve been able to style and care for my hair with ease. It’s well worth the cost and the wait for an appointment.

Im new to NY. WHAT A GREAT EXPERIENCE! I can not say enough good things about it. Ron is a very knowledgeable and skilled artist! I showed him a picture of what I wanted and he blessed me with a beautifully fitting, fun and flirty new cut that I just love, and at a great price! I just had the most wonderful experience at Moisture Salon. I received a cut that exemplifies how to do a curly cut. I was also given great instructions and the tools I need to take care of my hair. Both the stylist and owner took the time to make sure I was educated on maintaining my curly hair and that I was happy with my cut. I couldn't believe my curls could look so defined and be so soft, but Moisture Salon was able to show me the beauty of my curls.

My curls have never looked so good since I started going to Ron. He literally cuts each curl one by one which is why he insists you go with dry hair. He teaches you how to style and what products to use. I used to have to get my cut every 7 weeks. With Ron you can go months so don’t let pricing scare you. Because he is so knowledgeable about cutting hair, your style will still look great 6 months later. So if you’re one of those that need a cut every 7 weeks, you save money in the long run because your style will last much longer. His salon is super clean. He and Brooke are amazing. Wouldn’t trust anyone else with my curls.

I drove 3 hours for a haircut! That’s right, 3 hours and it was worth every mile.

It was my first time visiting the salon. I had high hopes based on other reviews, but Ron and Brooke exceeded them all. To start, the protocols Ron has in place to keep everyone safe are phenomenal. He met me at the door hand with sanitizer and immediately put me at ease. The salon was spotless and every surface was wiped down before and after use.

Ron spent time looking at my hair, asking me my thoughts and what I wanted. He cut for my hair type and curl pattern and not the one size fits all curly cut you get at other salons. I’ve had hair “challenges“ all my life. I’ve been getting that standard cut for years and while my hair has always been OK, it was never what I would consider great curly hair. This is, hands-down, the best haircut I’ve ever gotten. My hair looks amazing with little to no effort. Curly girls know, day 2 + hair can be a challenge and now I can literally wake up and go. The true testament happened this week when I received a compliment on my day 3, air dried, not styled, straight out of a pineapple hair. I’m not sure there’s a bigger accolade for Ron and how talented he is!

I have been going to Moisture Salon for my hair for at least 5 years now. I (long curly hair) see Ron and my boyfriend (long curly hair) sees Brooke (since 2018) - Ron and Brooke are AMAZING in every way. They will instruct you on how to wash, style, and care for your curly hair during your first cut, and each cut and styling they provide are so quality you will only have to go for touch ups every 6 months or so (which I feel like is unheard of). They will encourage you to use the products that they use in their salon because they carry the absolute best for curly hair. We exclusively use the products they recommend and I have seen my and my boyfriend's hair evolve to their full potential because of Moisture Salon's services and tips. This salon is life changing. I saw brooke last week. She was so sweet, full of knowledge, and so patient with my 100 questions. Ron, the owner, was there as well working with other clients. He was so nice, great to get along with, and gave me so much information on grooming doodles! Cece the doodle was there and was an adorable mascot for the salon. I can't say enough about this place. I highly recommend if you are learning or want to learn how care for your curly hair. They didn't push products on me, rather, let the products speak for themselves. This is the first time I've purchased all products used on me and had them work just as good if not better when I used them at home. Love them! Can't wait to go back in July!

My granddaughter has multi textured hair and definitely requires specialized care. Ms Brooke and Ron are amazing, wonderful people. They're both extremely educated, they are patient, kind, lovely people. A definite for curly hair folks. Highly recommend.

Came here on Saturday for the first time and had the best experience. Brooke is a life changer! I came in with flat, dry curls and left with bouncy, hydrated curls. She walked me through styling my hair step by step, and was very honest and knowledgeable when answering any questions or concerns. The welcome gift was also a great touch too! I’m so happy that I’ve finally found my forever hair salon!

As a curl girl, it's hard finding salons that specialize in our hair type AND know what they're doing. In my 40+ years, I had yet to find a place and stylist where I would leave and not want to cry. When I heard about Moisture Salon I was nervous because of past experience getting my hair cut, but thought I'd give it a try. Not only was I VERY happy with the cut, but the stylist who did my hair (the owner, Ron) was AMAZING! He explained everything he was doing, why it was crucial for curly girls to get their hair cut that way and explained how to achieve the best possible outcome at home. I not only did not cry (for once) after getting my hair cut, but also left with knowledge and a new friend! Not to mention all the staff are so nice and knowledgeable and the salon is so nice and inviting. I HIGHLY recommend this salon for anyone with curly, wavy or ethnic hair. I PROMISE you will not only love it, but have found your new salon choice.

Had my first ever curly cut with Ron today and the experience was top notch - from the knowledge and tips for getting the best out of my cut and products to the cut itself (curl by curl!) I found out how to properly root clip for volume as well as learned one of my go to stylers was actually bad for my hair, and they even proved it to me while shampooing. I’d recommend any curly to come here for your next (or first!) curly cut. Thank you guys so much and I look forward to my next appointment!

As a person that has struggled with frizzy, sort of curly hair I went to Moisture Salon with high hopes. They did not disappoint! My experience was fantastic and I am so happy with the results. This salon is curl heaven. This is the second time I had my hair cut and styled by Brooke and she did such an amazing job. I used to hate getting my hair cut, but now I finally understand what a fresh trim feels like. If you want a cute style & keep the fussing to a minimum, you must experience this curl bliss! ➰

I had my first appointment with moisture salon yesterday and it was the most amazing experience i've ever had at a salon. Ron was beyond amazing like a curl angel, he asked me what I was looking for out of my hair and delivered just that and more. He breaks everything down for you and shows you the correct way to take care of your hair to get the best possible curls.

After that brooke takes you to the hair wash station and hands you a mirror so you can see step by step how to wash and then style your hair, shes also amazing.

Everyone one there is so warm and friendly and full of knowledge on curly hair it's like a big curly family even down to Ron's curly haired dog who is soo sweet.

This salon exceeded my expectations and was worth every Penny I spent. I walked out with the best haircut and best curls I've ever had. I can't wait to go back. I plan on being a customer for life.

I've been a customer for over 5 years and love Ron and the way he cuts and manages curly hair. It's important to book way in advance because the slots fill up quickly, but it is a testament to how popular this haircut is and how much time he takes with each of his clients individually. I would highly recommend this to anyone with curly/wavy hair that dreams of wearing their hair down and natural!

This was my second visit to the moisture salon, my experience was even better than the first. Everyone at moisture Salon is friendly and warmly greet you. Their mascot CC, the Wonder Dog, is adorable and extremely friendly. I presented Ron with a picture of how I wanted my hair to be. He not only gave me a cut I wanted, he reimagined the picture I showed with my hair in mind, a true artist! Truly, very pleased and will absolutely be back again.
