Broome County Public Library

Me and my grandbabies 3 and 5 had a wonderful time. We stayed for 2 hours playing in the children's corner, can't wait until next time.

Needed to copy, print and scan an application. You can do it all at Broome and they are very helpful in helping navigate all the steps. It's my go-to library for books and DVDs also. 👍

It was peaceful on 2nd floor where I sat to work on my diamond art. With they would teach classes like this to the community.

clean and quiet place to research and find a wide variety of books. There is video and audio media also. There is Internet access and pleasant clean restrooms.

I love the new look of the library since all of the renovation has been completed. I can't imagine my community without it's public library. Books, classes, computers to use. Friendly staff, clean and well maintained. Love to 📚 read.

Lovely history and awesome book collection

Outstanding library with real pride, and for good reason. Many amenities: classes, meetings, sales, County historical society, and the like. Stacks of books galore, with newest selections up front. Most knowledgeable reference librarian. Staff are formal yet polite. Computers and printers galore. Let's not forget the Children's section !

Better organized, managed and secure than libraries in much bigger cities.

One caveat to consider: As with everywhere, some of the patrons can be careless with their hygiene / behavior. Be alert to this. Otherwise enjoy.

Just surprised that more BU students living downtown - yes, I graduated there 40 years ago, with nothing like this, at the time - don't partake better advantage of this facility.

I love the broome county library . They have a lot of stuff I'm into due to the large selection of books , dvds , etc .
They have boy meets world , family ties , different strokes , South Park , manga , etc .
My favorite section of the bc library is the children’s library . A lot of gems can be found there (dvds) : power rangers, are you afraid of the dark , Rugrats, Mario, Dragonball z and dragon ball super etc . , hey Arnold , ninja turtles etc. (books) : sonic graphic novels , Pokémon adventures manga , Toy Story , Dragonball , dungeons and dragons young adventurer’s guide etc .

I’m 35 and I love the main library and the children’s library .

I highly recommend the broome county library . They have an awesome selection of dvds , books , etc. you are guaranteed to find something you’re interested in .

Parking is free and they have a very lovely Children’s Library try to have regular activities for engaging both parents children in reading. The staff is very open and friendly and seem to enjoy working with children and families.

Don't know why other reviews are so critical. This is a great library, one of the best out there. Definitely he best in Broome county, it's quiet large, new, very well air conditioned / heated depending on the season, and very conveniently located on court street about 1-2 blocks from the very downtown core

Great community resource! Fun activities for kids and grown ups! The children's librarians are wonderful and supportive to kids of all kinds.

Remodeled ..shiny floors, new carpeting, paint.. meetings available again. Tomorrow ancient cultures teaching on Scythians at 6 at Decker Room. Today we had adult coloring group, from 5:30 to 7:30 on Wednesdays.

I've been going to this library for 10 years now and still love it. They are always pretty good about stocking up on new releases and many of the staff are great. Great for kids, teens, and adults of all ages. I'm 21 and still adore the YA fantasy haha It never gets old for me

Big, beautiful and spacious library. The clerks are very helpful and kind.

Great place to study, very quiet, nice staffs, easy to get a library card, very BIG space

My experience with the library during covid has been very good,the staff keeps everything clean,the great women & men are dedicated in helping everyone find what you hey enjoy...plus it has been a retreat from the heat ,catching up on the lastests books,musiic......thank goodness we have a wonderful library to enjoy.

A nice, quiet place to study. Everyone there is helpful and friendly. Great book sale at the end of each month.

I find the library a very pleasant place to visit and I enjoy going there. Also find the guards helpful and pleasant. Glad to see them and folks working there.

When I was living there it was nice to go to. It usually was not packed with people which I liked. Pretty quite.

I love the library they are very good there they are very professional they are very nice there very polite very kind very caring and I love the one girl that works there she is a officer or a security guard for the library and she is really nice
