Absolutely loved our visit to the White Inn. I wanted to take my wife somewhere special for our anniversary weekend getaway rather than your typical chain hotel. This fit perfectly and was right on the way to niagara falls.

The staff was ultra friendly. The rooms were clean and we loved the way the building was decorated.

The history here made it even better. Unfortunately we didn't have any run ins with the local spirits.

Great stay overall and hope we can come back some day.

I recently had my bridal shower at The White Inn. It was a smaller shower, in a room to the right in the back. When we first got there, our server Bridget was there preparing things, and was SO polite and professional. Anything I asked her for, she was right on it. We had the mimosa bar which was really tasty, only a little bit of fruit though. The food was displayed beauitfully and was tasty. We did chicken salad wraps, a make your own sandwich, the loaded potato salad and fruit salad, all of it was delicious. The new owner came and spoke with us to make sure everything was going well, and it was. I have never stayed in the rooms upstairs so I cannot account for that, but for the shower it was truly beautiful, and a special thank you to Bridget got being so polite and helpful!

Under the new management and ownership the entire experience has gone from forgettable to outstanding. The food and drinks are consistently excellent. The remodeled insides give a polished, refined feel that sets it apart from many other restaurants/bars/lounges in and around town. The staff has been impressive across the board during my visits, and the manager frequently is walking around greeting everyone and making sure they're enjoying their experience.

They have a strong tie to the community as well which manifests in plenty of great events hosted at the bar, the restaurant area. They have also been very creative with their rotating specials (ex. for a while they were doing fun specials for each night of the week to keep things interesting, including burger & beer for $10, date night which was something like 2 apps, entrees for $30, a rotating regional cuisine night, sushi night, and so on.)

One word of caution: since they do host a lot of groups, special events, and holiday special which often book up quickly, you may want to call ahead and ask to make sure they'll be able to accommodate you / your party.

Just spent 3 nights at this hotel and l cant fault it. Restaurant food was very tasty and good value for money and the 2 staff that served us (2 girls thurs night) were a delight. You have to try the cheesecake AMAZING!
Rooms were spacious, pretty and clean.
Breakfasts were very well cooked and presented. My only complaint would be the times for breakfast of a weekend could be from 8am untill 9.30 -10 am instead of 8 till 9am. But apart from that it was a great stay and would recommend this hotel to everyone. l will definately be coming back.

We stayed here for a girls' weekend and had a great time! The evening staff (we weren't there much during the day), Megan, as absolutely fantastic and very accommodating to our needs and had lots of great information for all our questions about the history of the Inn. The two rooms we were given the option of we're both very spacious and we'll laid out and the decor suited the age and style of the building. The location is great - good food, entertainment and shopping is only 5 monites' drive, if not walking distance, and the staff make great recommendations. For anyone going to the Lilydale Assembly, the White Inn is a great spot because it's close by and just a short drive. My only suggestion would be to have the windows looked at - there are some serious drafts and you could save some money on your heating bills if the heat wasn't going straight out the window.

I really liked this place and would stay there again despite things that were wrong. The dining room and lounge were both closed but they still had there included breakfast. The elevator wasn't working. It was only one flight of stairs and having to take the stairs seemed more realistic for a historic inn. The tub didn't drain. But the charm of the place and how well care for the 200 year old building was made up for the rest. The room was comfortable and attractive.

Yep, there's flaws in a historic house this size. But I wouldn't trade it for a perfectly square, chic B&B any day. We came across the inn on our way from a wedding with my husband and our dog. The staff was incredibly kind and I could've stayed up all night admiring the architecture. so much of the place is original or damn near close, and you can see the hand worked wood and skill across every trim piece and door. The hallway ceiling and floor isn't close to level and the floors creak with original hardwood, just like it would've been when built. The owners have paid attention to picking wallpaper and paint that match the decor and even the furniture accent pieces are antique of the time. Also they have chosen to decorate the walls with original portraits or drawings from the 1800s that themselves are worth a stroll through the housqe. Luckily for us they've chosen to update amenities like an in room air conditioner and well sealed, clean bathroom (although the floor has antique mosaic tile that was obviously hand laid), as well as an elevator that is probably dated to the fifties (sorry lady who complained it was too old and jarring, maybe you should stay at a holiday inn next time if you can't embrace the history). Maintaining these places is just as expensive as it was in the day so to everyone who doesn't like the imperfection: you got the full experience. Unless a Rockefeller lived here, the house in its day would let a piece of wallpaper rip or a water spot stay for a bit before being fixed and to us it added to the charm and we felt as if we were living in the home two hundred years ago.
The only break from that take back was the breakfast. I assume since it's the off season in town not much effort is put into breakfast but it would've really sold the look and feel we came here for if it had been done a bit better. Other than that lovely stay, hope the place remains as is!

Staff are friendly. The elevator was out of service, which is kind of important when you are staying on the third floor for five days. It is quaint and comfortable - so decent value for the area.

Historic and attractive inn on Main Street in Fredonia, New York. Beautiful, well-manicured grounds and young, friendly staff. Complimentary Continental Breakfast hits the spot, as does the all day free coffee.

Nice folks. Let me charge my electric motorcycle using their level 2 chargers. Looked like a very nice place to stay with very easy walking access to downtown.
