Great aquarium shop, they are very knowledgeable of the fish they keep and have a great variety of fish. They have fresh and salt water fish, they have shrimp and plants, and it's hard to find a fish store with plants now in days. Overall sometimes I go there just to see the fish, I never feel pressured to buy and the owners are always willing to inform you about the fish...and then I end up buying them haha, buts that's a me problem. Great store with Great people working it, that also own it, so you know they actually care about their fish.

Just went here to check out their goldfish selection and buy some plants for my shrimp tank. Guy working there was very nice and helpful, and showed me everything they needed. I didn’t see the Ranchu goldfish I wanted, but I knew it was a long shot as I’ve literally never seen it in store yet only online. They did have some nice other varieties of goldfish I may come back for when my tank is cycled. This store had many beautiful varieties and just so many clownfish-fish were gorgeous. I didn’t buy any fish medication, but the selection was impressive and a lot of SeaChem products as well that I saw. I bought two java moss plants for $5 each which was very competitive pricing same price as amazon but no shipping fees and you know where it’s coming from! I plan to be back to get more plants and possibly a goldfish. Here is a picture of the java moss in my tank.

Daniel and his staff are amazing. My husband and I were looking to start a aquarium again after quite while. after several searches we were fortunate enough to find Daniel’s shop. You can tell by the way he runs his shop, that this is his passion. Unlike other shops that simply on the business for money. He gives the complete experience from education to advisement. You can tell he truly cares for the fish. He is the only shop we will trust. No matter how far he is we will go. Daniel will always the only shop we go to for any fish needs.

Fish are always healthy, I've bought a few different fish here and they are beautiful and robust. There is a broad selection of fish. I highly recommend buying from this shop, the owner is very knowledgeable and cares about the fish. The prices may be slightly higher than you're chain retailer, but the fish have shown to be much better health and quality, and it is definitely worth it.

The owner is awesome! He will advise you on everything you need for your tank and explain in detail to make sure you have what you need. The store itself has some of the most beautiful fish in jersey! Definitely would recommend to anyone who has or wants a tank (salt water & fresh water)!

There was a gentleman there who was very helpful. I needed some assistance with setting up my aquarium. He shared some tips on how to maintain my aquarium. The fish are great, looks good in the tank and they're colorful. My daughter loves them!

I am the type of person who does a lot of online research on products and places prior to deciding to make any kind of purchases - always looking for quality items/service for the best prices. After quite a bit of research, I decided to try a local shop prior to buying anything online as I saw Underwater World in Union, NJ was under new management. It is a small local shop and not as flashy as some others you find around, but I can tell you with 100% confidence that you can't beat the prices or the service. Danny & Tiffany are the owners and you will always be dealing with one of them - they are both courteous, helpful and knowledgeable. They will always beat or at least match any online prices you find, which I cannot say for other stores I looked up, but what really sold me was the way they treat you - they really want you to succeed with your aquarium life. I started my first saltwater tank a little over a year ago and Tiffany helped guide me through the entire process. Everything seemed to be going smoothly, but about 2-3 months in my cycle actually started to happen and then to top if off my fish developed ich. Tiffany & Danny actually took my fish for safe keeping and care while I dealt with the cycle which clearly never completed. You cannot but that kind of service online. I truly am appreciative of their help and am overly joyed with my saltwater tank. Definitely earned my business for life and I highly recommend you go to them to compare whatever you found before committing anywhere else.

Went to this fish shop amongst many with no experience and a lot of interest - I have had nothing shy of great experience! Daniel, the shop owner has taught me so much. There is much conflicting information on the internet and people on forums can be abrasive to newbies. I explained to Daniel that he is my go to for information and I wanted one thing...success.

I have had nothing shy of a great tank so far thanks to the him. He has always offers great advice and more so he cares about the hobby. There is a bunch of livestock that he would not let me buy because it would not survive in my tank at this point but he was more than willing to coach me. He definitely does not go for the quick money grab which is rare these days.

He has really great pricing and helps out where he can. Fish prices can be higher than some other shops and major chains but you cannot beat the value when you consider all that is done to make sure the livestock is going to survive. When Daniel gets a fish in, he makes sure it is going to survive before passing it on. He also doesn't use chemicals in his tanks so another point for quality.

Daniel also took his time making an amazing aquascape for me, this man has talent. Worth a visit, easy 5 stars!

This store is great. They have a large variety of beautiful salt water fish. The new management has really made the place better and their so nice and helpful with everything. I highly recommend them for anyone starting up an aquarium or just trying to improve their current one.

This store I have been to twice and both times the help has been great, The Marine Fish are in excellent health and priced reasonably in fact I got two Anthias that as soon as I put them in the tank I tried to feed flakes and they actually ate my flakes and these guys are known to be hard to feed at times. He trains the fish to eat a variety of foods which makes the purchase and almost guarantee to survive 99% at your home, Also if you have any questions on how to maintain the specific fish you buy they will more than help you , they will give you tips of their proven methods to try at home. I will go back many more times.

I was looking for a specific type of goldfish. I spoke to Daniel, the owner, who couldn’t have been nicer. He told me he was expecting a delivery on Sunday and I should call Sat. after 1 pm and he would let me know what he would be receiving. I called on Sat and he told me how many he would be receiving and if I called on Sun. he would let me know the colors. I called on Sun and he told me the colors and I took a ride from East Brunswick and bought the most gorgeous fish. He had others that were also beautiful. He was extremely nice and helpful. Great place to go for fish!!!! Definitely recommend Underwater World

This store is under new administration. The staff is great, always willing to help and providing guidance. Prices are good, and the fish assortment is good. They have the best coral assortment in the area. I really recommend checking them out.

I was in there this past weekend and the shop looks like it is trending up. In the past I tried to avoid this shop at all cost becuase customer service and the health of the fish were poor. However, the new owner seems very knowledgeable and helpful and looks like he actually cares about the hobby. I came away with a small scopas tang and filefish, the prices were fair and really the reason I took a chance. So far, they're healthy and enjoying their QT. My only complain is it looks like tornado came through the shop but I'll chock that up to new managent growing pains.

Giving a 5 star for the customer service and potential of the shop, hopefully it doesn't go back to how it was prior.

Hope I found this store earlier. Highly recommend this store to everyone with there aquarium needs. And the owner is extremely knowledgeable about saltwater and fresh water fish. Also the prices are really good and very affordable. A+++

Great place nice selection friendly owner Why wouldn't you go there

This is your one stop shop! I have been keeping African cichlids for a long time but recently decided to start a new salt water/reef tank. Daniel has been there every step of the way to guide me along. We haven’t even added a single fish or even water yet!(hopefully this week) But never the less he is there with everything you need. Wether it be supplies, knowledge, or just a few minutes to chat he always makes you feel welcome in his store. If you want a big bright store with employees that know nothing then don’t come here because what you end up getting here makes you feel more like family then just another customer. So next time you need something a fish, some food, a filter, even a full service set up give him a chance and I bet he will earn your business!

Excellent customer service. Always shows expertise on trade with valid recommendations. Communicates with us with a caring attitude, unexpected follow up calls. He is truelly our doctor fish. Glad we found a place near home.
