By far one of the best values for the accommodations we had throughout the entire trip!!

I was hesitant about staying here because the price was so low but thought I’d check it out first, just to be fair. Well, I was more than happy with my decision!

The rooms are very comfortable and spacious and the location is ideal for attractions, shopping, dining, you name it!

If you’re traveling with children, this location is only a few minutes away from Valleyfair Amusement Park, a Peanuts themed amusement park… a guaranteed fun time!

You definitely get a lot for your money at this hotel!!! Will definitely come back if ever in the area again!!! Update: Stayed here again and still think it’s a great hotel but has the loudest most obnoxious housekeeping staff I’ve ever heard. For three hours before checkout time it was just constant slamming of stuff and very loud talking, impossible to sleep through!

Very Clean comfortable bed and spacious living area. Kinda liked the kitchen updates, but had no over head light. But it was all right same with new fridge 😃 a nice as well. Thanks Close to eating places and shopping. Thanks

Booked through hotwire hot rate deals and will say for the price it is actually better than I would've expected. The rooms both times have been clean and quiet. A few minor flaws but none worth mentioning. The front desk attendant was very respectful when checking in. Made the process simple and quick. I can already see this will be my new go to when it comes to an extremely affordable place to get some rest when I'm in the area. The location is great for several of the nearby attractions one might be visiting. On site laundry and vending are nice little additions as well. Overall I recommend this establishment for those running on a budget or if you don't need the upscale elements of lodging.

My wife and I stayed a weekend here this past week and were pleasantly surprised by the low price and high quality. The photos on the web must be dated because we were a little afraid of what we might be getting into with the old TVs shown on their photos. The rooms are very nice. We had a flat screen and satellite TV in our King room. The staff was friendly and professional. I have stayed in hotels in many states and several places in Europe and this was easily one of the nicer places I stayed AND the lowest price too. They seem to have found a great balance between affordable and nice. They obviously care about their facility. When we are in the area and need a hotel I will be calling Sandalwood Studio and Suites first.

The room was a lot nicer than I expected for the price. There was basically a full kitchen; full size fridge, microwave, two burners for pots and pans. The beds were comfortable. The room was clean. It would definitely be a good place to stay if you're looking to stay for an extended time.

Reasonably priced. Clean. Quiet. Includes continental breakfast consisting of coffee and rolls. Rooms have a full size refrigerator/freezer, 2-burner stove, kitchen sink and a microwave. They even supply minimal dishware. Highly recommend.

The Sandalwood has been very awesome for me over the 3 times I've stayed there over the last 3 years. Great rates and they're upgrading some rooms to be very nice for the $.

Staff are very nice people and I'd recommend the Sandalwood to anyone staying for like an "extended stay" type deal.

I booked my room through Hotwire and had a great rate. The standard room was not available at check in so we were given a king with sofa and kitchenette for no extra charge.
The room was nice and clean. No issues with the bathroom, kitchenette, or bathroom.
The WiFi worked well as did the satellite tv.
The staff was friendly.
The only minus was that the room smelled like pot when we first walked in.

Stayed for three nights while visiting my son, the suite was very clean, the owners were extremely friendly, beds were comfy, the price was very friendly 😊 Only complaint is, there isn't an elevator. When in town, would definitely stay again!

I've been here a little over a week now, and I simply cannot say, or speak highly enough about this establishment! The Owner and Employee's; both Front Desk, as well as the Housekeeping staff, (From what I've experienced.) are professional while conducting business and their tasks, always polite and considerate, very friendly, and "To-The-Point" prompt. Everyone's always smiling!
The entire building is smoke free; so being a smoker, I've had the opportunity to meet just a few of the other guests' staying here. So far all the guests I've met have been respectful, polite, clean, quiet and friendly. I honestly don't even hear anyone, (Past 8, like not even 10!) unless someone happens to be letting out their dog, (Pet Friendly!!) and even then, all I can hear is the dog's collar jingling as they walk by. No sketchy people here! 😎
My room is always very fresh smelling and clean. Even though I am very organized and O.C.D., (I always pick up after myself, take my own trash out if need be, floors spotless 95% of the time, clean dishes and a made bed daily.) Housekeeping still mops, vacuums, disinfects all the surfaces, remakes my bed, (Clean sheets' and new comforter twice a week.) and the bathroom vanity is restocked with towels/washclothes twice a week. I am Legit, impressed with the service and attention to detail.
There was one single, minor issue I've had since staying here. I happened to forget my room/front entrance key-card one rushed morning and the front desk woman solved my problem IMMEDIATELY!! No questions asked, No issues whatsoever, the woman remembered my roim number and just gave me a new key, told me to have a great evening, and continued what she was doing. This took less than one minute and it's really nice to see such fast, real customer service!! I feel like they ACTUALLY CARE and APPRECIATE me, as well as my buisness.
Very peaceful and quiet, plus crazy comfortable King sized beds in a normal Studio Suite. Oh, and theres a legit kitchen with a full size fridge and two burners. Cookware is available to use at the front desk upon request...yeah. i know right, pretty awesome! Also includes a microwave, coffee maker, and some spare dishes.
Easy access to 169, 35W and Highway 13. Close to everything you could want or need such as; Food, (Fast or sit down restaurant.) Gas stations, Liquor Stores, Target, Walmart and a CASINO!! Two washers and two dryers on first floor, theres always at least one machine open and theres multiple vending machienes in the lobby by the back smoking patio.
I don't ever want to leave! Like for real and seriously, if your looking for a night or a month and u need to be in this area, dont bother going anywhere else. This place is reasonably priced, weekly&monthly rates, and so worth your time.

Surprisingly great room. I got a great rate for a single night when I needed to stay in town because of weather. I'm easy to please and I don't demand much, but Sandalwood exceeded all of my expectations. I will definitely stay again if I need to stay in Shakopee.

This property is kept fresh and tidy. Staff and managememnt are polite and welcoming. From the full sized refrigerator to cushie pillows, sometimes it's the little things that make the biggest impact.

It's a great hotel to stay at! In a good location, right next to restaurants, and there is a Walmart only a few minutes away. I really enjoy the room service and staff, they are all really nice. Free internet and a lot of tv stations to keep you entertained if you get bored. Highly recommended!

These people were extremely nice they were clean they worked with me when I had a players club from the Cadbury race track and they really just have a good environment around them

Great hotel. Got an upgrade once I got there which was dope. Toilet was a bit finicky but worked perfectly fine

Very very nice place. Couldn't believe how nice it was for the price, I travel a lot and this was one of the nicest hotels I've stayed at for any price, if it was double I'd pay again gladly!!
