Haskell's Port of Excelsior

I enjoyed the casual atmosphere of this place! Good selection of beers (some craft varieties, some classic standards) tequila, delicious food and very friendly bartenders. Plus they have tables available outside. Do I want to sit outside on Excelsior Harbor on a beautiful afternoon? If it's in Haskell's then the answer will be an excited yes!

The food is amazing and Troy the bartender (the bald one) makes the best bloody marys and old fashioneds in town. A great home town feel, reminds me of Cheers.

The grilled cheese prime rib sandwich is the best sammy in town. The hand breaded wings are also the best in town.

I visited on the 4th of July and sat outside to watch the parade. I ordered the prime rib sandwich, it was served quickly and was very good.. The server was nice and although the place was busy she provided quick service.

Christmas evening I drove to Excelsior to visit my brother, we wanted to celebrate with a beer together. Haskell's was the only place open we could find. Greeted warmly and served generously. Happy New year Haskell's!

Phenomenal! The service was great! The food was AMAZING! We called ahead and made a reservation. Outdoor and indoor dining areas are available now. We were on the side of the building, outdoor seating, it wasn't too chilly due to the building blocking the wind off the lake.

Definitely call ahead and make reservations. They are very busy. The parking is paid parking on the street.

The food is very reasonable and large portions. Very fresh and delicious! You can tell the cooks were happy when creating their masterpieces!

The atmosphere and energy is extraordinarily friendly. Very inviting, what an exiting time to get to eat out and enjoy friends and family!

This place is great…. Amazing food, cheap drinks and a fun atmosphere.

This is one of my favorite local spots. I have always had great service, and the food is good. I have tried the "favorite" items on the menu and have to agree they are some of my favorite bar foods in the area. The grilled cheese with prime rib is a really great choice.

The inside is kind of small and it can be crowded at times, but certainly not a reason to skip this place. In the summer it has great outdoor seating -perfect place to stop if you are on the bike trail.

Look! You wanna go people watch, this is your place to be!

This is a first come, first serve, seat yourself kind of place. The way they have the outside setup, is like a hightop bar that wraps the corner of the street. So, as people walk and drive by, or, people coming off the lake cruises, you can watch it all go down. So, send somebody to save a spot, grab some food and drink, or like me, go nextdoor to the winner shop and buy a bottle and have them cork out for you for $5 and watch all the magic happen!!!

Excelsior can have some more pricey, swanky, options. That’s why we love Haskell’s as it’s down to Earth and casual with amazingly good food. Draft selection includes local brews including Surly. Beer is served perfectly chilled in a proper glass even when sitting outside to view Lake Minnetonka and Port of Excelsior. Prices are reasonable and staff is super friendly and helpful. We love going here before seeing a flick at the Dock Cinema (so close). Being new to the area this is our go to spot to feel like a local.

To Laurie Benson... I assume you don't see the irony of judging other people as being judgemental. If you have a problem with the patrons of haskell, it's you with the problem.

Great burgers and other bar food, as well as some nutritional options. Fast and prompt servers and a short wait for our food. Drinks are also reasonably priced!

Nice place to meet before a boat tour. Had to order drinks at the bar, no waitress. Typical bar appetizers were good.

Delicious corned beef and cabbage for St Patrick's Day.

Great place for lunch they have good sized wings.

Love this place the food is great and so are the servers and bartenders especially Molly she is a seasoned professional and always hope she is my server,come in and try it you'll become a regular

Great atmosphere, fantastic burgers w/fries and outstanding view. If you want a little insider taste of excelsior stay for the Bingo on Saturday’s or a late Thursday and play some pull tabs.

Just had lunch here!! The grilled cheese prime rib is the bomb!!!! Service was great! We will definitely be back!!

The restaurant is nicely located on a corner if you sit outside you can critique the cars that drive by. The food is always good, and the locals are friendly. The wait staff are top notch, you can't not have a good time here!
