Golden Rule is an absolute oasis. Every corner of the shop is filled with beautiful things for your eyes to feast upon, and it always smells magnificent. It truly is an experience from the moment you pass through the front door. Not to mention the immaculate collection of art, candles, jewelry, and the best (and cutest) sock section in the twin cities! I recommend this shop to everyone that I know, from locals to visitors. There’s something for everyone!

This place is an amazing find! I was looking for some affordable art for a gallery wall and their selection is incredible. Prints were $15-58, all for local artists or beautiful reproductions of classic art pieces. The gift sections were gorgeous too. Definitely go!

I visited Golden Rule for the first time this weekend, I had heard about it several times before. I love finding a good small business to support and THIS is one I cannot recommend enough after visiting. Their website mentions they bring intentionality into their space and that could not be more true. I walked into beautiful aromas and so many unique (yet trendy) items from candles, glassware and clothing. Every time I took another step around I was astonished at everything that was able to put my eyes on! It truly sets itself apart from other shops I’ve visited and you can admire the dedication and passion that goes into making Golden Rule what it is. As I purchased a new bandana for my pup & a new piece of home decor, the employee was so friendly and genuinely excited to see me take home my new pieces. I am looking forward to visiting this vibrant and kind (& very aesthetically pleasing) shop again soon!

Golden Rule, you were as magical as I’d imagined. Inspiration at every nook & cranny. Vibrant, cozy, warm, alive and clever. If you need a little inspiration, head there. If you need a gift, head there. Grab a friend, and head there. My only regret is not getting there sooner. 💛💛💛.

I love shopping at Golden Rule! In person the store is well organized and so fun to browse. I have also ordered online multiple times and the items always arrive in perfect condition and so fast. Golden Rule is my go to for all things art, gifts, and jewelry!

Golden rule is always a must stop when I'm in the Excelsior area. Erin and her team curate a wide selection of unique independent goods. I especially love their art selection, wonderful wall of greeting cards for all occasions and their candle selection is amazing. Such a lovely local shop!

Unfortunately, I haven’t had the chance to go in person to shop, but I have shopped online using her well-maintained, user-friendly website. I have had such a great experience that I have now purchased from the online store several times. She stocks such a wide variety of delightful and whimsical items especially the great selection of candles. She also ships quickly and packages things well so they will not break in transit. And if something does happen to break in transit she provides super-fast and super friendly customer service via email. I will continue to make purchases from her in the future.

This shop is a gem! Like a carefully curated art museum but you can buy the art! Erin Kate is so intentional with what and who she brings in that I have no doubt what I am buying is high quality. The beauty of the shop is the personal relationships between everyone there, you are walking into Family. Beautiful jewelry to fit all styles, and options for personalizing. Stationary items, perfect for a back to school splash. Candles, soaps, scents and art for the home. And always the most fun, on trend clothes. I personally love the card selection, always spot on for what I need 👌 The love these people have for one another oozes out of the shop, if you are walking by please stop in, you won’t be sorry!

Fast , friendly service! I ordered a Picasso print from them which they promptly shipped across the country to me. It was expertly wrapped and a nice note from them was enclosed. Highly recommended.

BEAUTIFUL shop. I come to the Golden Rule for every gift and always find something unique, well-made, and beautiful. It is obvious that the owner and her staff are meticulous about the quality and design of everything the store. I have been exposed to many local artists through the Golden Rule and am happy to have their art in my home. Visit regularly and be prepared to find a treasure every time.

Love Golden Rule! It is a wonderful staple for Excelsior. You can find gifts for yourself or others in any price range. If you have the chance pop into the store do it - its so dreamy. I recently have purchased from Golden Rule online and the packaging and notes show how much care is put into Golden Rule.

THEE most beautifully curated shop you will ever lay your eyes on. If you're wondering if you should drive from the cities to Excelsior for it- you absolutely absolutely should. Everything is stunning. Everything has such heart. It's so so beautiful. And there's something for everyone!

My nieces first birthday was hosted here and it couldn't have been in a more beautiful space. Upstairs, above the shop there was plenty of room for guests to mingle with a kitchen space to prepare the hors d'oeuvres and coffee. Just wonderful.

This was a super cute shop that I visited in small business Saturday. There were time of fun little gift ideas. The store was packed, so that must be a great sign of the reputation of this place.

Sadly, I did not get to stop in and shop while staying in Excelsior. The website was very impressive, and I had hoped to have time to stop in...will have to be sure to stop in the next time we visit the Minneapolis area!
