The Original Pancake House Minnetonka

This is a really great place to go for breakfast!! Most of the time breakfast places give off a “homey” feel or almost fast food vibes, but this place is very clean and modern! It was pleasant surprise walking in and the food made it even better! We got French toast and pancakes, a little spendy but you’re getting your moneys worth. The meals are on the sweeter side and the chocolate pancakes were almost too chocolatey, but all still very good tasting. The service was great and our waitress was very friendly and helpful. My only complaint for the whole place is that they charged me 5.75 for a glass of orange.. it was good orange juice but not that good, I understand it’s because it’s “fresh squeezed” but I wouldn’t get it again.

I recommend making a reservation because this place is always hoppin.

We eat here almost every Sunday. We have never had bad service nor had to wait long for our food.

I usually get Cranberry Wild Rice toast, a bowl of fruit, and bacon. Which are all pretty good.

But since going GF, I have been getting the bacon omelet with a side of hollandaise sauce and GF Pancakes. The omelet is huge, and I end up having to take the rest of it home. The GF pancakes have a nice texture and taste to them.

The coffee with creme is excellent.

We never go home disappointed.

This review is long overdue, but I came here to have breakfast with my fiancee's family when we visited Minneapolis during Thanksgiving weekend. I wish I remembered our server's name, but she provided amazing service by accommodating our large group and was quick to refill our coffee cups. The portions are huge! I ordered the small plate, which was enough for me. The food was excellent, very tasty, and well prepared. This place reminds me of diners one would find in the Northeast. I wish there were locations closer to home, but I'd have to visit again the next time I'm in Minnesota.

Great experience! Food and service is amazing. Fresh ingredients, personally prepared. Our waitress Aisha went above and beyond to make the experience complete with recommendations as well as taste samples. Definitely will be back.

I have been going to The Original Pancake House for almost 20 years so have eaten there dozens of times. I have never had any food that I didn't like. Their pancakes taste homemade. I do wish they would bring back the sourdough pancakes as those were by far the best. Their 4 egg omelets are as big as a plate so I always have a take home box or sister, husband, or daughter split it with me. My favorite omelet is the veggie one because they use lots of veggies. Their hot chocolate is served with real whipped cream!! On the weekend, it is best to get there by 8:30 am or plan to wait at least an hour to get a table.

Love my crepes, everything was delicious and tasty. Else, wasn’t salty or greasy.
Price was not bad. For sure I will be back again.

The original! And we keep going back! Recommend a reservation, because it’s always busy on weekend mornings. This time, had the eggs Benedict with added peppers and onions, would do that again. Dad always gets the 49ers. OPH is the family brunch spot!

We were very pleased with our experience here on Easter. We were in and out in 45 Minutes. Our server was great and efficient. We would come here over other OPH's in the area.

Modern, farmhouse atmosphere that's very different that the Edina location. The staff here is extremely warm and helpful and welcomes you from the moment you step in the doors. The amount of gluten free options was great. Also, many of the dishes were made in peanut oil, but they were very accommodating and willing to make the dishes in olive oil instead. Food was delicious as always and we had plenty to bring home with us (very impressive as the price was not too expensive)! We will definitely be back to this location...

I had a wonderful breakfast experience at the place. The pancakes were light, fluffy, and delicious, and the service was friendly and attentive. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a great breakfast.

Emilia is great! We’ve had her every time and she’s always fantastic. She recommended the raspberry French toast and oh my goodness…there are no words as to how good it was.

A must visit place if you happen to be in the area, the food is excellent and the servers are kind and professional! I count myself lucky that there was no wait as the place was busy! Their Orange Juice is freshly squeezed and has some pulp, so if that is your cuppa, have at!

My friend had the chocolate chip pancakes with a side of eggs and bacon and I had the steak salad steak cooked rare and chamomile mint tea with lemon! Our food was served to us quickly, and it was delicious! We're super full, super satisfied with our service, and worth every penny!

I had a breakfast event with my staff at work and one is gluten free so we decided on something from OPH. I was far away but luckily Scotty was able to bring my order out once I arrived. I really appreciate his patience and service

For a place called "Pancake House" the joint looks extremely lavish, it's like walking into a homely restaurant and you're about to be greeted by a live orchestra. Did I mention the fireplaces?

We went in for breakfast pancakes and I got the Chocolate chip ones, very filling and delicious, served with lots of butter, maple syrup and whipped cream on the side.

For breakfast yesterday morning I got the 4 meat souffle with some goodies in it. It was nice and hot when it came out and packed with flavor! I opted for the Belizean heat hot sauce which goes well with the eggs or the hash browns. And of course- coffee! Pancake house does their coffee well! Plus, our waitress Sarah was delightful as always!!

Really good food with tons of options, fairly busy at times but worth the wait. Dined with 2 adults and a toddler.

We ordered the seasonal specials. My wife had the gingerbread pancakes and they were delicious I had the Eggnog French Toast and enjoyed them. The service was excellent. It’s a little pricey, but it’s worth it!

I love this place! Good everything! Food comes fairly quick, service is great! Food is delicious.
