This bike shop was fantastic! I was on vacation and broke my bike chain, and they were able to squeeze me in to swap my chain out despite being booked out for months. The service was great and the folks working there were friendly. Stop here if you need some bike equipment!

I rented a bike from this shop to ride the Paul Bunyan Trail. They were really friendly and helpful, and they had my bike ready for me when I arrived. Additionally, their rates are very reasonable too. I would gladly rent from them again if I were in the area. Friendly, attentive, professional service. They were able to access damage and make a repair within one hour, today. I get work done on my bikes a couple times each season and the team at Muddy Bikes is always so helpful.

This is a local shop! Nice selection of bikes, accessories and clothing. Great customer service. I went in for air in the morning and returned later the same day after an encounter with some barbed wire on the trail. They fit me in and had me back on my way in 15 minutes. 💯 meant a lot. I’ll be back to ride in Brainerd/Baxter again. This will be my go to shop. Cheers!

What a great experience! I called ahead to ask if they could replace a shifter cable same day — yes, we can. It was fixed within a couple of hours. Service person Jason was friendly and kind. Guy who rang me up was also welcoming and friendly. The atmosphere of the shop is like you want to work there, be there. Thanks much!

I brought an old bike in I haven't used for years for a tune up. The staff was very knowledgeable and attentive. They diagnosed the issues while I was there and gave me an estimate. They finished the work promptly and charged me less than the estimate. I will go back to them for all my future needs.

I was in Baxter for a wedding. Had a morning with nothing to do and decided to rent a bike and ride part of the Paul Bunyan Trail. Order the bike on line the night before. It was an easy and smooth process. Got there in the morning right before they opened. A very nice and friendly staff. They had my bike set up in less than 10 minutes. Did a great 27 mile ride. Their prices are very reasonable and affordable. One thing that would have made it perfect would have been to have a bottle cage on the bike. I would have purchased a bottle from them. Did the ride without water, but it was all good. If you’re in the Baxter area and want to rent a bike, I highly recommend them.

I have purchased two bikes for my kids from Muddy Bikes. They Love them! Each time was great service! Very Friendly and knowledgeable staff. I Will definitely be back when its time for a bike of my own. No need to shop anywhere else for all of your Biking needs!

Awesome store. Within 2 minutes of being in store we knew they were the place for us. Greeted us at door. Kind, knowledgeable friendly staff. Just too bad the selection was bad but that had nothing to do with them. Went to another local store. Waited for someone to help us for a while. Then said they have no bikes. Not outgoing at all, went right back to muddy bikes and bought the bike. Do yourself a favor and get here. Buy local, support great Lakes businesses like this one!!

On a long ride but torqued my rear derailleur and hanger completely. Fortunately it happened just a couple of blocks from Muddy Bikes. Geoff worked hard to find replacements but didn't have the hanger on hand. Since my car was only a dozen miles away he quickly rented me a bike; I was able to retrieve my car and head home. Great shop and great help. Highly recommended.
