Lovely campground with lots of trees. Parking on grass, but our spot was very level. Quiet, but blocks from the center of Frankenmuth. The host dropped off a welcome pack with information for self-guided tours to view their church with a wonderful history and stained-glass windows. A must see!

Nice campground, $35 per night. Good facilities like a bathroom and shower that you access with a code you get with the welcome packet! Not all sites have a campfire ring but sites are first come first serve so you can choose. It was less than half full on a Friday night in July. You can buy firewood there for $5 for a pretty good bundle. Terry, the host, was super welcoming too. Prayer trail was fun.

We were looking to stay in the area, but all we could find were RV parks. We had a tent and small children, so that was something we were not interested in. After much searching, we stumbled upon Churchgrove campground and it was EXACTLY what we were looking for! About a mile from downtown, without being "downtown". Quiet and peaceful. Has showers and bathrooms that are camper only access, playground, basketball hoop, pavilions, and self serve firewood. The campground host Gary was very kind and always checking in with us. We appreciated that. Some of the sites can get pretty soggy if it has been raining, so make your site selection carefully if that's the case. Highly recommend if camping in the Frankenmuth area!

This is a great hidden gem. Shade from old growth trees, family friendly, and peace and quiet. And Gary the park manager is a great guy. Always accomodating and friendly. Great stay.

We are back again at St Lorenz Campground, one of our favorite camping places. Thank you Gary.

Most sites have some shade. Short bike ride to downtown and grocery store. Camp hosts are helpful. All sites are grass.

There is alot to do near by. Your in Frankenmuth, and Birchrun is about a 12 minute drive. The campground its self if shady and peaceful. The lots are moderately sized some having elec and water. There are fire rings and a picnic table at most rv sites. They will hold a good size 5th wheel and car. There is a dump station on the property. You can also tent camp. The staff is really helpful and friendly.

Oh my goodness a hidden gem. Clean, grassy sites, lots of shade trees spacious and the staff (Gary) is a true blessing. Has a nice prayer trail. Even if your not sure that Jesus Christ died so that you may live, it is a place you want to stay.

Very warm and welcoming. Staff super friendly and very reasonably priced. Not too far from downtown Frankenmuth. Nice playground for kiddos. They are a first come first serve basis but very easy going stress less check in and out. Definitely will keep them in mind in the future ♡ Gary the care taker very easy going and friendly and very helpful!

We stopped in Frankenmuth on our way home from our vacation and stayed for just one night. Gary was a delightful caretaker of the campgrounds and a very welcoming presence. The grounds were clean, well kept and very quiet. The restrooms were very nice and clean. At a flat rate of $35 per night this was a very economical choice and an excellent place to stay. The downtown shops of Frankenmuth were worth the stop as well. It's a very cute German village and Bronner's was a fun shop to check out. Overall we had a great little layover in the campgrounds. Thanks for having us!

Very nice little campground close to all Frankenmuth and Birch Run activities. Restroom and bath house is secured by coded lock. Sites have water and electric and an easy to access dump station. Sites are first come first serve and are $35 a night. They sell firewood for $5 for a large bin. Sites are not parking lot style in a row but there is plenty of room. If you have a group, it is perfect.

Wonderful campground. First time here, we will be back. The manager was very friendly and helpful, he checked every day to see if we needed anything and just to chat a bit...the prayer trail is lovely, the sites are large, the atmosphere is friendly. A short (ish) walk or bike ride to downtown Frankenmuth.
