Dearborn Administrative Center

I think ratings here depend on the reason people have to stop by- some are frustrating sure. That said, staff seems quite organized and friendly from all my experiences.

Not sure why people are complaining. The people at the Administrative center were very friendly and helpful getting me what I need

It’s an ordinary government building, great services all in one

Donna who works at the water department has attitude and is unfriendly. She interrupted me several times without understanding what I am asking about. She kept repeating that the check for my water bill is sent but she cant see who it's from while I was asking her about something else. She is aggressive and lacks customer service skills. She should be trained on how to communicate with her customers. Donna finally sent me back online to view my account. I hope the City of Dearborn selects its employees carefully and train them properly.

The treasury department are thieves who have no sympathy or understanding for 1 day late on my taxes installment they slap with 150 fine and refused to put me back of installment and I must pay the full amount or they keep adding interests and fines

If u have inspection wait for them outside.
Highway Robbery. They can charge any amount & have to pay it, so employees don't care cuz they know there's nothing u can do. $500 for inspection, inspector can go to mall then say no one's home. $50 FEE. they supposedly showed up & no one was home. Even though stayed home by the door for 5hrs to avoid freaking FEE. How about this, LEAVE SOMETHING THAT SHOWS YOU ACTUALLY CAME. $300 fee for 2ND inspection. So if your needs no repair you still pay $300 for follow-up inspection.

horrible service, slow moving employees, phone calls not returned, no one knows anything about permit approval. This entire staff (of inspectors) needs to be replaced or have their pay changed to commission based on performance because it is ridiculous and a waste of gov. money.
