Barrett's Smokehouse

Excellent place to pick up a BBQ, take out our dine in. Butcher shop and lovely store with meats, prepared food, snacks, beer, jerky, spices - you make it they probably sell it. We looked all around the store section and was amazed at the unique selection. Then we ate sandwiches. Staff are very friendly and helpful. We'll stop in for sure next time we're near.

Glad I finally tried this place out. They have plenty of decently priced options. I had an excellent Southern Style Pulled Pork Sandwich with Tangy BBQ and slaw. This was absolutely amazing for Michigan BBQ. I got the warm corn bread and loved it. I will be back again for sure.

Custom food choices include, many dishes that you can see and then pick from for dine in or take out. Staff members are very friendly and helpful to give you the opportunity to get the best meals. Deserts are available. Country atmosphere and wildlife views are going to give the kids a treat. 100% worthy of a family visit.

I have never been let down by Barrett’s. Their food has been awesome. I have tried Catering and Christmas along with buying pies and cheesecakes. Their pecan pie is so thick and yummy. It is hard to choose from meats to dessert. Thanks for making Holidays simple.

Edited came back after a week to get another tasty meal ordered: classic beef brisket, side of loaded potato salad and horsey bistro sauce on the side, chow down in a min so delish!

I have been ordering corporate gifts for our customers for the holidays for at least a decade -- usually several hundreds at a time. Barrett's made this process extremely easy. They happily accommodated our requests, were very responsive and were super easy to work with. Highly recommend!

A great lunch spot! I had Mac and cheese with Brisket, a side of loaded potatoes, and a side of Cole slaw. It's a deli style place where you walk up, order, find a seat, and they bring the food out to you pretty quick. Fast, spacious, and clean. I will be back!

This place is great, they sell all sorts of products, we ate lunch there and that brisket sandwich was simply delicious. A bit expensive for my butget but worth it. $13.00+ for a sandwich, mac and cheese and a small soda! See pictures.

Working through our food trip and we now have bacon for the next few months. this place fits the part of a classic BBQ place glad we stopped. If you come after hours they have exterior meat vending. great idea!

Bought some brisket hash and brisket pot pies to take home. Both were outstanding. Made the wife happy, bonus points. I’ll be back.

1st time not sure how I didn't know abot this spot. Everything I had you could taste was homemade. I had Hey beef brisket sandwich white cheddar macaroni and cheese and coleslaw. Mac cheese could have been a little warm but had flavor! I'll be back. Recommend the beef brisket sandwiches as well!

We chose to use Barrett's for my father's celebration of life party. From the very first phone call to the pick up they were such a pleasure to work with.

The 2 employees that helped us load our vehicle at pick up were absolutely wonderful and took care that everything was placed so I wouldn't move around.

The pulled pork and chicken was amazing as well as the potato salad and mac salad, everyone at the party and nothing but accolades for the food.

I will highly recommend them to anyone who is looking for an awesome catering service, also they have a great selection of food in store and a Cafe too.

Nothing but an excellent experience.

The brisket melts in your mouth. Loaded deviled eggs are amazing. Clean, fast, and friendly service. I will definitely be back and recommend to my friends.

This place is AMAZING! I love the white cheddar mac and cheese I can't find a better recipe anywhere else! It's a perfect place to stop for lunch!

So I love coming here, wide selections, great prices. So far the only thing I'd even think about changing is their chicken pot pie recipe, vegetables undercooked, its under seasoned and there's very little liquid to it. But all in all, I love visiting this place weekly for my meats!

Ingredients are fresh! The taste of all the food I've had here was sensational.
The recipes are mostly developed in house or passed down from family.
The store has a very cool rustic feel. The staff is always polite and patient.
Definitely one of the better places in the Southwest Michigan to get dine in or take out! Great job guys 👏

Wonderful bbq meat! Very tasteful, choice of sauces and homemade delicious sides. I was overwhelmed with all the yummy choices. Perfect place to pick up homemade side dishes for picnics too. A little pricey but you get what you pay for and everything was delicious! Don’t miss their homemade deserts and candy. Everything is locally sourced!
