It was an ordinary day until I found a dead baby chick in with all the live ones running all over it. Poor thing. One of the workers scooped it up and threw it in the trash. Oh well,the circle of life. Sometimes it's shorter for some than others.

This store is too good and too close, I can easily spend all my money if where to casually drop into this store too often. The place has exactly what it's name implies, things a farm-family would shop for. It combines elements of a Tractor Supply (hydraulics, chains & sprockets, engine block paints), with a scaled down Manards (minus the lumber and concrete).
The staff at this location is knowledgeable and exceedingly helpful.

I was having problems with my squash and tomatoes. I was looking for lime. This was the first time I was growing my own plants. With being this time of the year the store was out of lime. I really didn't know if I needed lime or if something else would work for my problem. I was telling a lady employee about my problem and she told me what worked for her. What she told me totally made sense. Now I have hope that my plants will live. I had three employees helping me and they all were very nice and helpful. I wished that I didn't live so far from the store. I hope to see your store in TC soon.

People here are really nice and helpful. Descent selection of goods too!

We visit this store periodically mainly to buy fowl. They usually have a good selection of healthy birds and knowledgeable employees. Employees have always been kind and helpful to my family and I.

This store has the best prices and great stock. Hardware sold by the pound. I've even bought Dewalt tools here that Blains had on sale for a better price. There is a lot of stuff for pets, too, which helps.

Great place to stop in, look around, shop, ask questions and get help to find what you need. They even have great prices on YETI products!!! Great selection and pretty good prices!!!

Great store wish TC had one

This past weekend I was headed north to camp with a car full of kids when a huge thunderstorm hit. I also was pulling a trailer with all of our camp stuff and a lawnmower for the first time. As I was driving, my windshield wiper on the drivers side started to come off. We came into Kalkaska and I quickly got off the road by turning into the Family farm and home parking lot. Feeling very overwhelmed and stressed in the pouring down rain and lightening, I went into the store not knowing if they even had vehicle wipers. Thank God they did! As I was standing in the aisle trying to figure out what size I needed, an employee, Lance asked if we needed help. At this point I was near tears. He helped me find the size I needed and then said he would grab something to put on to protect from the rain and come and help. I could have hugged him! I payed for the items and by that time I was tearing up. Lance came out in the rain with lighting and thunder around us. He changed my wipers in less than two minutes and we were on our way again. Thank you Lance for your kindness! You truly helped this mama out! Thank you Family farm and home for having what I needed! Great service and great employee!

A little slice of everything you might need for any small home repair or project, a large animal section, (almost half the store...) Including small animal supplies with the only ferret food that Francine loves.

I got wood heating pallets and they are very easy to deal with and help with loading them and there price beats McClain's hardware store by alot.👍😎😎😎

I have found all the employees very friendly and very helpful! Manager, Corene (sp?) Especially dedicated to her clientele, and always willing to go the extra distance to be helpful and courteous! Heart of gold type of girl! These are all reasons we spend a lot of our money at the Kalkaska Farm and Home!

They had an Easter egg hunt for kids. It was really nice and the kids had a great time. Thank you.
