Silver Beach Pizza

We stopped at Silver Beach Pizza on a Saturday. We had a 45 minute wait which wasn't terrible. They have a really nice waiting area outside next to a park.

Once we were seated, service was extremely quick. The food here is absolutely delicious. The portions are huge. Everything came out quickly and was hot and fresh.
Highly recommend checking this place out if you haven't!

My favorite pizza in my favorite place! It wouldn't be a trip to Michigan if we didn't stop here for schooners, irish nachos, and an undertow pizza!! You won't be disappointed! Just be sure to put your name in early because there's almost always a long wait, but they send you a text, so you don't have to wait an hour or more sitting at the restaurant.

Silver Beach Pizza is an adorable retired train depot turn restaurant. The result is a long narrow restaurant with comfortable seating the whole length and upstairs. The building is filled with fun stained glass and a small train.

I do recommend reserving a table if possible. We had a half hour wait before being seated on a Friday afternoon.

The service was polite and quick and once our orders were submitted the food came out promptly.

The food was delicious we started with "Frickles" and Bruschetta. Both were excellent.

For main courses we enjoyed two medium pizzas and the kid ordered the avocado sandwich. The pizzas were the carousel and Perugula. Both have bold and bright flavors. If you're in the St. Joseph area this place is worth a visit.

The pizza is incredible! Thin crust and fresh. Service is attentive. They give you a round plastic disc, red on one side, green on the opposite side, to help alert your server. This was helpful as we needed salt and more napkins.

Wife an I were in town from Chicago. Silver Beach not only delivers on phenomenal pizza, but amazing drinks as well. Getting in and getting a table was a seamless process (especially on a friday night). Our server was friendly, informative, and cordial. Can't speak enought great things about this place!

Great food. Super fast and delicious. We ordered drinks that were amazing too. Perfect venue. We were able to watch the sunset from our table (see photos).

I just unintentionally had the best pizza out of all that I've tried in the united states of america for as long as I've lived here. I am smitten. I am shocked, and I am amazed, my heart got melted and poured into a little pizza shape.
The crust is thin, but its not soggy in the way that makes everything fall off of it. The sauce tastes magnificently, and the cheese is melted to just the right point where it stretched out, but not too much.
Great pizza.
Had the whirpool or something something pizza, absolutely recommend.
Didnt want to dine in because I wanted to leave quickly, but the restaurant looked very very cozy from what I briefly saw. :)

Fun spot for amazing gluten free and vegan pizza options!!!! Also the bloody Mary’s on special are delicious.
No better gf df pizza in SW Michigans coast! Yes you need a reservation, or will wait for up to an hour when it’s busy. But never have we had to wait more than a few minutes for our pizza once we are sat. Fun place, family friendly and adult bar has a great sunset view.

Tip: waits are typically long, but bar seating is usually immediately available.

Seriously worth the stop. We were lucky to find this on google maps and it was delicious. The beers are cold and huge. The pizza is amazing. The staff is friendly. Thank you for a lovely dinner!

1st thing and most important, I have lived my entire life in Chicago. I know what good pizza is and I am almost always left disappointed trying it outside of IL. My family had spent the day at Silver Beach and worked up an appetite. My son really had a taste for pizza but my 1st thought was "No way, not here". I had every intention of going somewhere else to get anything other than pizza. On our walk from the beach back to our car we had to walk past Silver Beach Pizza. I caught a look at a guests pizza who was dining outside and it did look pretty good. Then I saw a server walk by with a giant frozen margarita and that sold it for me. After a long day in the sun a frozen cocktail sounded great. My wife, daughter and daughter in law all ordered other items off the menu and said everything was very good. My son and I split a pizza and I have to say it was delicious. We had a great time in MI. We will go again since it is a short ride away and I will 100% go back here for more pizza and drinks .!!

My daughter and I were famished after a morning at the beach and had to try this pizza after seeing several people at the beach scarfing it down. We called in for a pick-up order, only waiting 20 minutes for the text message saying it was ready. Our pepperoni pizza did not disappoint. Easily in Top 10, maybe Top 5 of the best pizzas I've ever ordered. Even more incredible is that I usually don't care for sweet sauce, but this sauce was just ever so slightly sweet and really pulled it off well with the crispy crust! We sat on the hillside under a tree, just off to the side of the restaurant.

The BEST PIZZA, at the beach? YES, absolutely! Silver Beach has amazing food and the pizzas are outstanding! If you're lucky, you will get a seat with a view of Lake Michigan. You can eat in or carry out and sit on the beach, which is perfect for a sunset date. The wait staff is very attentive, friendly, and accommodating. This place is very popular, especially during "season", so don't be in a hurry. Parking can be a bit crowded, so again, don't be in a hurry.

A friend and I stopped here for lunch today while driving from Grand Rapids to the Chicago suburbs.

It was VERY busy but we were able to get a table for two immediately. We had a table right across from the bar. The whole setup of this place is very cool.

Our server, Mel, was friendly and helpful. She checked in on us frequently to see if everything was okay despite the place being packed!

The pizza was excellent! It's similar to Aurelio's Pizza that we have here in the Chicagoland, some folks like to call it "Tavern Style thin crust".

I also ordered a delicious Sangria from a Michigan based winery/brewery (Round Barn) that was served in a ice cold schooner! Kept my drink nice and chilled during our stay.

I would TOTALLY eat/drink here on a regular basis if I lived in this area. Will definitely stop in the next time I'm traveling up that way.

Zack was our server today, and he was awesome! Service here is always amazing and the food is even better. Zack suggested we try the "snakebite" which was an Ace Pear cider with a Guinness float. So good. We also had a small margherita and a large goat cheese with pineapple and prosciutto pizza. The frozen schooners are a must try too. Very nice tap selection with a wide array of local and out of state beers, but something for everyone!

Great view from the patio, extremely clean, amazing food. I have a wheat and dairy allergy and our server Ray was extremely accommodating, going out of his way to make sure what I ordered was safe for me to eat. The sandwich I got on gluten free bread was probably the best sandwich I’ve had in years. Couldn’t recommend this place more, especially if you have allergies.

Ordered the Stromboli, which was good. Waitress was very attentive, and the view of the water play area was great.

Great location, especially if you can get upstairs!

Meat pizza was perfection! This crust, crispy....sauce, savory....toppings, plentiful.

Silver Beach Pizza combines delicious, quality pizza with an unrivaled understanding of its clientele. As we walked in, I was a bit nervous about what awaited us, watching the bus boys riding carts and flirting with the parking lot attendant, however, once we entered, it was clear that our experience would be fantastic! The lower level was filled with families like us, with huge frosty-mugged beers on the table. The host stand offered some pizza dough for our kids to play with and OH WHAT A REVELATION - we were able to enjoy beers and pizza without interruption. Why doesn't EVERY pizza restaurant do this?? After our meal, we went to the restroom and they had STOOLS for kids to wash their own hands - again, such a simple thing, but it made SUCH A HUGE DIFFERENCE. We parents usually have to suspend our kids in the air, avoiding a drenched countertop, while simultaneously trying to wash our own hands. To top it all off, our waitress was attentive, warm, and didn't miss a beat and our pizza was divine. Bravo all around.

Best pizza in the area. We also very much enjoy the Greek Bruschetta. It does get crazy busy with ‘peak time’ pretty much being their entire opening hours. Come willing to wait. It’s worth it!
