Nardo's Pizza

This is truly a local gem. Detroit-style pizza on the west coast of Michigan nestled away inside an old nightclub. Doesn't get much better than this. Video games, pinball machines, beer selections along with some local Brews. The salads are great! Just up the hill from Silver Beach. Nardo and his Bunch do a great job. If you get the chance, stop in and experience a true slice of Detroit 😋

This place is a top 3 pizza I have ever had. Perfect crust, perfect toppings, perfect cheese. We had tried to go to a few other places but they were full so we ended up at Nardos. It's downstairs in a basement with awesome art on the walls. It has arcade games and order and pay at the counter. I wasn't sure what to expect but the first bite of the pizza and I knew we had hit the jackpot as far as restaurants in St. Joe.

This is a pretty low maintenance type of pizza joint. Very cool vibe in the basement with arcade games all over.
Counter service ordering and food on paper plates. We had the Detroit style pizza and that was excellent. Crust was very crunchy and not too thick, sauce was seasoned just right. Can't speak to the rest of the menu because we didn't have it.
The arcade was a nice distraction while waiting for our food. It was not busy the night we were there, which made exploring all of the murals that have been graffitied on much easier.

Great Detroit style pizza, their normal style is pretty good also. But come for the Detroit style. Lots of arcade machines to play on. It’s in the basement so you have to go downstairs to the restaurant. Very fun l decor and the drinks are good too.

Last minute decision to go here but it was overall great. Pizza was delicious and came out piping hot. Only downside was there weren't a lot of tables available. Maybe only 3 or 4 that weren't a bar style. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone.

We've had To-Go pizza 3x and enjoyed their fresh dine in experience with the arcade games & great staff with Jackie running the show. Their Gyro pizza the OG (first photo) is our favorite so far, but they are all really, really, good. The Pepperoni D (second pizza) is one of the top 5 best pepperoni pizzas I've ever had in my life 👏 the A2 (third pizza) with the dill sauce, artichokes, spinach, red peppers was unique and delicious. The Meatwad (fourth photo) comes Detroit style and I wasn't found of the meatballs, but I still ate it up. WhatupDoe (fifth pizza) Detroit style and slamming with the flavors of your favorite lasagna, mixed with crispy pepperoni and a hint of sweet hotness with Mike's hot honey. Nardo's Pizza mixes flavors that you just don't think about 🤯 but you are so glad you tried. Around $15-$20 a 🍕 pie. Leftovers warmed up well.

It was the Friday of Fourth of July weekend so pizza took a bit longer than expected but the pie was great. The front of counter girl was fantastic especially while dealing with how nightmarish people can. 10/10 favorite pizza in the area

Best Italian pizza in the St. Joseph area. I always pick up. I have tried other places but this place has the highest quality and flavor pizza ever.

The Gyro Pizza--I'm still thinking about it a week later. I don't even live in Michigan & I am already thinking of reasons to engineer another visit.

Also, don't sleep on this place as a music venue. Sound quality was really, really good & atmosphere was A+.

My husband and I love the Big Tasty pizza, but what made me compelled to write a review was the PICKLE PIZZA, the Lil Dilly. Divine. Chefs kiss. A true delight. I couldn’t convince my husband to try it, but luckily I had a friend visiting who was just as excited about it as I was. It sounds strange, but definitely give it a try so that it stays on the menu and I can continue to order it in the future.

Had a mishap with my order last night. I messaged about my experience and the general manager (or owner?) responded to my message almost immediately, remade the pizza, and delivered it personally. Incredible service and the pizza was delicious. Fantastic place for vegan pizza!

There are a few pizza places in the area but Nardo’s is our favorite. The atmosphere is a really cool cosmic bowling vibe. The garlic knots & Detroit style pizza are amazing. If gyro’s are your thing the gyro pizza is incredible.

Truly the best Detroit style pizza outside of Detroit, if not one of the best Detroit style pies to be had. We always make a point to stop at Nardo’s if we’re in the area. The creative specialty pizzas are always unique and delicious.

The arcade games are in great condition, well maintained which is a rarity at many places! Love the pinball tables and retro arcade games. Detroit style and regular pam pizza was great!

Golf, pizza, and a review. The most difficult part of my first visit to Nardo’s Pizza was not overeating. Scrumptiously delicious!

10/10 all the way from atmosphere to service and the food is out of this world. Best pizza we’ve had in the area by far (Sorry silver beach!) Nardos should be a don’t miss on your st joesph bucket list!

From out of town. I have not been to Detroit but Nardo's red top pizzas are a work of art and the best I've had in this style. Check out the secret menu! I'll be back whenever I'm in town.

The entryway left us wondering what to expect...
But the service was great and for was even better! They served us outside because our son didn't have a shirt. The pizza was amazing! We had a Detroit style specialty pizza, normal cheese pizza, and garlic knots. They were all phenomenal! The kids raved it was the best pizza they'd ever had and my husband and I agreed. The Zombie Killer hard cider was also amazing. Overall we highly recommend Nardo's!

Pizza was awesome! We will definitely be back! Had a deep dish detroit style, garlic knots and a regular crust pizza with the betty white sauce!
