Slab Sicilian Street Food

We made the pit stop in Portland just to stop by and have some pizza here! Deb was hilarious and made the dining experience something special! The pizza is always a big hit for us, but the salads were a surprisingly big highlight of our meal today! They were both so fresh and incredibly tasty! The Sicilian slice of pizza is the reason we make the stop and it was delicious as per usual. The thin crust pizza was tasty and we were able to purchase a frozen one to take home and customize on a different night. Their brownies are wonderfully chocolaty and the snickerdoodles were delicious. We also enjoyed their beer selection too. We will always make sure to stop here on our trips nearby Portland.

Ah, Slab, a culinary haven where the very essence of pizza is elevated to an art form. Slab is not just a pizza place; it is a sanctuary for those who seek a slice of heaven on earth.

I was on my way out of Portland when I decided to stop at Slab Sicilian Street Food to get a Sicilian slice of pizza since it had been a while since I had a good Sicilian style pizza.

It has a modern vibe that approaches modern, industrial. I think it was technofunk music playing in the background, but it was relaxing.

To my surprise, hummus was on the menu as a special which was served with pickled cauliflower and carrot wedges. So I ordered that and I ordered a slice of the mushroom Sicilian style pizza.

I really enjoyed the juxtaposition of the acidity of the pickled cauliflower with the hummus. It felt like I was tasting something completely different from any hummus I had before.

The pizza came out, and I was immediately impressed. It looked like the more sophisticated cousin of any Sicilian slice I ever had before. The crust was crispy outside, yet fluffy inside. I was thinking that this crust would make a really good French toast. I enjoyed this pizza so much I was eating it with both hands.

All in all, a great place to stop and eat. My visit has left me curious about the other items on their menu. It makes me want to know more about how they make their food.

Oh my God is this place delicious. Best Sicilian slice I ever had. The dough is totally unique and amazing. And the sauce on the cheese and pepperoni is sweet and tangy. Portland is lucky to have this place. Heard it was great but really surpassed my expectations. And I'll always remember going because it was my son's 1st birthday that day and this was a late lunch after celebrating for a day already.

I really wanted to give this place a perfect 5… the food was outstanding, just the right flavors and textures; the service, just didn’t cut it for me. We waited for our check for over 20 minutes, the waitress just wouldn’t make eye contact, it got busy and she got busy, I get it, but just a little eye contact here and there goes a long ways.

Really fantastic sicilian pizza.

The place is super cute with an indoor and outdoor space. The pizza slices are HUGE. Really only need like 1 or 1 and a half slices to be absolutely full.

The downside is that you have to buy whatever they have available, so if you have a restricted diet it might be an issue. Really wanted a veggie pizza, but my only option at that moment was cheese. Still fantastic, just worth mentioning.

We got one slab each and were blown away. Crust is so fluffy and crispy, toppings flavorful and not overbearing.
Also got the waffle cone cannoli to go and it was 10/10

Service was great, food came quick.

This place was a serious find as someone coming from Europe with high standards. "Picnic" style seating and plastic cutlery outside but don't be fooled: Excellent food and beer selection. And everything was well prepared and tasted great.

I had the mushroom pizza and my buddy had the chicken sandwich. Not too fatty and with some nice spice and flavor.

The meatballs are out of this world. Also the pizza slices are huge. Awesome place!

Update: went back. The smell is amazing everytime you walk into this place! My go to is the miller high life and a slice. 10/10 every time. Perfect place to bring any guests that are visiting from out of town. My favorite pizza in Portland.

Update: went back and finally tried the thin crust. I can’t believe I never got it before. It was so good, I highly recommend it. 10/10!

Wow is all I have to say! This is one of the best pizzas I have ever tasted. We are from Ohio and visiting for vacation and wanted to try a new style of pizza and I have to say we were not disappointed. The crust is just amazing. Flaky, soft, airy, salty and delicious. Definitely in my top 3 of pizzas I have ever had.

Walked in for a 6 order, the wonderful smell of pizza in the air. The slices were so fluffy and tasty!

A perfect piece of pizza. The thick cut is amazing. As I get older I may get more lactose intolerant but thank goodness for Lactaid. Highly recommend. Kind service too.

Absolutely delicious pizza! My husband and I ordered the Sicilian pepperoni pizza. The dough was thick and fluffy and so filling. I wish it just had a splash more tomato sauce on it. Other than that, so yummy! We also shared a thin crust cheese pizza that was perfectly cooked and so flavorful. The pricing was reasonable and our waiter was super cool. Definitely worth a visit!

Wow, this place is fantastic. Went here on a Saturday afternoon with a group of 4 for a friend's birthday and luckily we didn't have to wait for a seat. Ordered drinks and this fantastic 1lb slab of pizza each and we all were content and happy. Thanks for the fantastic food and service!

Always great pizza and beer at Slab. Been here a few times. I usually get the spicy meat pizza. This time I went classic pepperoni. Pizza is somehow fluffy, chewy, crispy, and soft all at the same time. Stay Puft is an all time favorite beer of mine and Slab always has a cool variant on tap. Another good meal here

2 inch thick pillowy giant slabs of pizza aren’t anywhere but here. When I say pillowy, you won’t find a lighter airier Sicilian slice anywhere. Don’t listen to the haters, go NOW!

Slab is great! Some of the best pizza around for a really good price. The dough is soft and airy and the sauces are delicious.

Also highly recommend a sandwich and the meatballs (delicious!). The beer selection is mostly local and quite large. Slab rocks!!

Where has this pizza been all my life!?!? This was such a cool and delicious dining experience. We happened across this after another joint we were heading for was closed. We couldn't be more pleased. The waitress was friendly and helpful. These sicilian slices weigh upwards of 1 pound each. They have a few options. I went with a spicy meat and wife did mushrooms and something. The crust was like nothing we ever had. So light, yet substantial. Every bite was popping with flavors of toppings, sauce, and dough. If lobster rolls and clams were not waiting me at every corner, I could have eaten here every day. Thank you Team Slab!!

Super yummy pizza. Quite busy because of Pride but service was great. Totally recommend to anyone looking for good pizza in Portland. Loaded potato pizza was a hit for us.

The pizza was great! I ordered a thin crust Margherita pizza and my friend ordered a Sicilian slab. Both were good, but I’d definitely get the slab if I went back! Of note, there were not great gluten free options (just salad). However, there were good vegetarian and vegan options!
