I love a good dive. This place may stink like only “Portland’s Oldest Pub” can and they’re cash only, but the bartender was one of the nicest people we met in Portland and he gave us solid local restaurant recommendations.

Stop by on a karaoke night (Wednesday or Saturday) and you can be a rockstar with DJ Donnie playing those tunes you love.

For a dive bar , an awesome place, regulars are friendly , drinks are cold and delicious, get area to walk to and from, definitely a place to visit and have a few drinks with family and friends. Recommend 5 stars.

Great drink and food specials!!! Karaoke is every Wed and Saturday!!!! The calzones are delicious

We had a great experience here. The bar tender was great. No b.s. here. First round of drinks for 6 of us was $25.00! For 6 of us! Do you have music here? Without skipping a beat the bartender says yeah we got a jukebox right over there. The rooftop deck was a great place to hang. They have pool and arcade games as well.

5 star dive bar is all I can say. Had a blast here after a concert at Cross Ins Arena.

Bob the bartender, is in fact a gentleman and a scholar. 1030 roll in, place was slightly empty. Bob welcomed us with open arms very hospitable. I don’t frequent Maine but this place has some music going, fans blowing to scare away “bad karma” and And AND… you ready for this????? Nugs, motz, and fries for the fam… this ain’t no three star or “fore” star… but a FIVE
STAR ESTABLISHMENT. When you’re here, you’re family, Bobs family. Bob rules.

It’s a dive bar but wonderful in every way.

Nice, big, clean pub with music. Mixed age crowd. Priced very right and the folks working go out of their way for their customers - including bringing food in for the Patriot games.

Good people, every body is friendly, never any problems always good times is the place to be in if you looking for gread conversation and good friends. Ps: see you in thanksgiving free food for who ever din't have place to go to love to have coming in

Awsome bar!! Friendly bar tender and dj! Excellent drink prices. Nice rooftop seating. Cash only though so bring enough lol. Soon to have food service also.

Flatscreen College Football,Seasonal drink specials,and the On-Point, always helpful Wait Staff help to make Matthew's into THE Portland Pennisula destination hotspot.....5 Stars&Highly Recommended...
